Dita Plays Date For a Night at the Annual Vienna Ball

The annual Vienna Opera Ball took place in, where else, Vienna, Austria last night bringing out its usual bit of glitz and glamor. As is tradition, the businessman Richard Lugner chose himself a date to the big event and this year it was Dita Von Teese who was on his arm. A bit of a different choice than his date last year, Paris Hilton, who got into a little trouble when she looked super bored at the event. Of course Dita presented herself as perfect and statuesque for the event. Even Teri Hatcher looked good (and tall) out for the big ball. Past guests of Mr. Lugner other than Paris include Carmen Electra and Pamela Anderson - somehow Dita seems a little too demure and classy to be in that group, but hey, she fits right in on the red carpet here.

Paris Bored By Vienna Opera Ball

Paris came through with her part of the deal by attending the Vienna Opera Ball in Austria last night. She was the guest of Richard Lugner, a 74-year-old married construction magnate who "invites" celebrities every year. Whether Paris was paid or really just a guest is up in the air but evidently her behavior wasn't appropriate either way. TV coverage repeatedly showed her looking bored and stifling yawns as she watched the performance from her luxury box.

Still, the Viennese aren't all that excited about her either. Paris was forced to cut short an appearance earlier in the day after the crowd started throwing things like cigarettes and lipstick at her. Still that didn't faze Paris, "It's no big deal," she said. A few smokes and tubes of lip gloss are nothing compared to the kinds of things she's had to dodge after Paris Exposed!

Britney Gets Passed Over for Paris Again

Britney was all smiles the other day while heading out for a bite to eat with two friends. While we are happy to report her friendship with Paris has fizzled out, unfortunately for Britney, it has damaged her image. Not only was she passed over for a Superbowl ad but now she has been uninvited from an event in Austria the two were supposed to host together. Every year wealthy industrialist Richard Lugner and his wife invite a few lucky celebs to the elegant Vienna Opera Ball. And by invite I mean pay them hundred of thousands of dollars to attend.

When asked why Britney wasn't coming, Lugner said, “They unfortunately do not get along anymore.” It's usually sad when friends split up, but this one we aren't too broken up about.

Paris Hilton may have finally found her calling: International Escort. Well, at least that's what Austrian business man Richard Lugner thought when deciding who to invite to the ultra-exclusive Vienna Opera Ball in February. Every year, Lugner invites a lady to accompany he and his wife to the event and this time, it's going to be especially Hot. Groan.

Past guests have included Pam Anderson and Carmen Electra. So, he obviously keeps it classy. Like this disaster of an outfit. And her incongruently white face.
