Jennifer Garner Sticks Close to Seraphina as Violet Finishes Up Her First School Year

Jennifer Garner gave 3-year-old Seraphina Affleck a piggyback ride into the Brentwood Mart yesterday. The girls picked up a gift and coffee to go and then headed on their way. Later in the day, Jen spent one-on-one time with her eldest daughter, Violet, after school. Jen's been on a break from acting since giving birth to Samuel earlier this year, though she's making her debut on the Internet in a new short film. Jen stars with Alfred Molina in the Youtube feature Serena. Their 12-minute film documents a complicated relationship between a serial liar, played by Garner, and her priest, Molina.

Ben Affleck and Jen have a few more months to enjoy time at home with the family, including baby Samuel, before they return to work this Fall. He's starring in and directing the CIA thriller Argo, due out in October, and Jen shares the big screen with Joel Edgerton in Disney's The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which is set for release in August.

Ben Affleck Has a Busy Saturday With Violet and Seraphina

Ben Affleck kept an eye on daughters Violet and Seraphina Affleck Saturday while out shopping in LA. The trio swung by Williams-Sonoma, possibly picking up a Mother's Day present for Jennifer Garner, and happened to run into Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez outside the shop. Ben and Halle shared a hug and chatted before the groups went on their separate ways.

Later in the afternoon, Ben swung by Hank Azaria's Playing for Good poker tournament. Yesterday was all about Jennifer for the Garner-Affleck family. Last week, though, Ben got a head start on the Mother's Day celebrations. Ben posted a video on Facebook thanking the ladies in his life, saying, "I want to say Happy Mother's Day to the moms in my life: my mom Chris and my amazing wife Jennifer, who is an incredible, spectacular, world-class mom."

Jennifer Garner was on mom duty with daughters Seraphina and Violet in LA on Saturday morning. She took the girls to ballet class while Ben was taking care of his own errands nearby in the city. The two parents have been sticking close to home with their new son Samuel over the past few months, though they did make time for date night this week. Ben showed off his hot new haircut out with Jennifer on Wednesday afternoon before their romantic dinner together. Ben has been putting the finishing touches on his latest directorial and acting project, Argo, while Jen is getting ready for a Summer of promoting her film The Odd Life of Timothy Green. It was a weekend of fun family time for the Garner-Affleck clan. Ben Affleck joined in on the fun yesterday, when Jennifer hit the beach with the kids - even baby Samuel Affleck made a cameo at the sandy outing! Ben, Jen, and their three kids attended a small party together in Malibu. Ben and Jen have been sticking close to home with their young son Samuel, who entered the world back in February. She nonetheless had to jet to Las Vegas last week to chat up her upcoming film The Odd Life of Timothy Green at CinemaCon. Jennifer Garner's postbaby debut on the red carpet came Tuesday at a Walt Disney Studios event.

The mom of three is back in LA with her girls after a trip to Las Vegas, where she attended CinemaCon. Jennifer was honored with the female star of the year award and made two hot appearances at the event, which were her first since giving birth to Samuel in February. Jennifer and Ben Affleck have yet to introduce their newest family member, but he is apparently keeping them busy. The couple are just a few of the stars that love the White House Correspondents' Dinner, though it looks like they're skipping tonight's event to be close to home.

Ben didn't travel back to Boston to attend Fenway Park's 100th anniversary celebration, but he did share his excitement about the Red Sox opening day on his Facebook page. Even though they're raising Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel in California, perhaps Ben will still get his little ones to join him and Jen in the ranks of celebrity Red Sox fans.

Jennifer Garner stopped by an LA nail salon with her daughters, Violet and Seraphina, this afternoon. It was a girls-only outing, with dad Ben Affleck and little brother Samuel skipping the spa trip. The family of five wasn't seen celebrating Easter like many other famous bunches, but they have been out and about since welcoming baby Samuel in February. Ben and Jen held hands during a stroll, and Jen took Seraphina to a play date last week. There's more fun in store since Jen's 40th birthday is on April 17, just ahead of Samuel's two-month mark.

Their third child, baby Samuel Affleck, entered the world on Feb. 27. It was a sunny weekend outing for the duo, who were also together for one of Jennifer's first postbaby appearances earlier this month. Jennifer gave birth to Samuel almost four weeks ago, and while we haven't seen the little guy yet, his big sisters have been out and about.
