Hancock Swoops Into LA With Smiths Galore and More
After a trip around the world, Hancock hit LA last night with a high profile premiere. The Smith family is quite the red carpet pack now, perfecting the group pose for the camera — Jada was looking especially gorgeous in green — before Will was off to also pose with his costars. The next big movie star (at least in his head) Diddy was there as was Charlize nuzzling up to Stuart and Jason Bateman with his wife.
MK Befuddles Among Otherwise Cute New Years in April
Oh, MK...no...just no. Mary-Kate Olsen looked a touch ridiculous (sad face) at last night's New Year’s in April: A Fool’s Fête event to support New Yorkers for Children. At least her fellow partygoers including the always impeccable Leighton Meester and Emmy Rossum saved the event from being a full on velvet headband debacle.
Celebrities (and Sightings) Still Cycling Through Sundance
While my exhausted tail returned to San Francisco last night, the fun rolls on at Sundance with a whole new group of celebs coming into town to brave the cold and show off their movies. Other than Diddy, who was mostly there to show off his vodka. Lukas Haas separated himself from Leonardo DiCaprio long enough to premiere his movie, Death in Love which Buzz and I saw last night — totally disturbing (though Adam Brody was really cute in it) — before also seeing him out to breakfast this morning.
On A Day of Highs and Lows, Sundances On
While the afternoon took a noticeably somber turn as the news of Heath Ledger's tragic death spread over snowy Park City, the morning was for celebrating as Oscar nomination news came to Sundance. While a lot of the celebrities left with the end of MLK day weekend, there was still swag to be scored for some of them. I was lucky enough to stop by the Pure & Natural Celebrity Eco-Retreat and Iconix "Gift Giving For A Cause" Suite benefiting Save the Children to see all the goodies the celebrities have been snatching up as souvenirs.
Kate Puts On Her Serious Directing Face
Kate Hudson is hard at work in Pasadena on the set of her directorial debut, a short film based on a reader-submitted essay for Glamour, but unlike many first time directors making shorts, she's got some serious star power in her hands. I guess it doesn't hurt to know people in Hollywood. Her movie stars her surrogate dad Kurt Russell, the surprisingly older looking (she's growing up!) Dakota Fanning and Virginia Madsen.
Eva and Rebecca Team Up for Bebe
Eva showed off a new short bob at the Bebe fashion show in LA this weekend. She sported a similar do last month, but it only lasted a day before going back to extensions. This weekend we also got our first peek at Eva's new, hot Bebe Sport ads.

The women wore a variety of colors on the red carpet but one thing was clear on Hollywood's biggest night — they were all glowing. Colors ranged from beautiful blue, which was worn by the lovely Freida Pinto, pretty pink on petite Natalie Portman and ravishing reds as seen on Amy Adams and Heidi Klum. The Critics Pick Heath, Anne, Milk and Slumdog Millionaire
First the people chose then last night the critics awarded an A-list crowd of actors, writers and directors with their favorites. Jason Alexander opened the event asking Brad and Angelina to adopt him before Ben Stiller took home the first award of the night for Tropic Thunder as the Best Comedy. The most moving moment was when Heath Ledger won and director Chris Nolan accepted his award with a standing ovation from the crowd.
Jim and Jenny Take Their Love (and Matching Hair) to the Red Carpet
Jim and Jenny hit the red carpet last night for the premiere of Jim's latest film, The Number 23. Jim has been doing quite a bit of promotion for the film, but just can't stop gushing about how much he's into his new girlfriend. He's also excited about spending his first Valentine's Day with the pretty blonde.
