Joshua and Kiefer Introduce Us to Fox's Fall Schedule

Joshua Jackson was up bright and early in NYC yesterday to attend the Fox Upfronts presentation. Fringe has already been renewed for another season but you can check out the full Fall schedule here and get a peek at some of the new shows. Other Fox stars like David Boreanaz and Gordon Ramsay joined in the party - even Kiefer Sutherland came by and made an awkward joke on stage about his arrest last week. Last night's 24 finale left us with quite the cliffhanger, but we already know that Jack Bauer will be back next year.

Women of Hollywood Celebrate Each Other, Too

Elle's gorgeous women of Hollywood celebrated themselves last night, but the night was about more than just showing off their red carpet looks. As each of the ladies took their turn at the podium, they expressed their gratitude for the award, their thoughts on Hollywood, and their sense of admiration for their fellow winners. Here are highlights:

Lauren Bacall: "It's great that the focus is on women, who are functioning, who are all working, who are productive. I've always been in favor of that, and I've always known that women are capable of going as high as they want to go."
Amy Adams: "I'm so in awe. I'll be the person sneaking in back to try to get a photo."
Diane Lane: "There's a lot more opportunity for young women, and that's great, and I like to think that I was there to help pave a few stones. It's wonderful to have all the different stages of a woman's life acknowledged and appreciated."
Scarlett Johansson: "There's this idea (Hollywood) is this deep, dark place. In reality, I think that it's a reflection of society in general."

It's always wonderful when strong women are recognized for their talents, but it's even more fabulous that they love sharing the honors.

The Funny Abounds at Evan Almighty

Some of the funniest people in Hollywood came out for the LA premiere of Evan Almighty yesterday. The film, which is a sequel to 2003 Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey, stars Steve Carell as a congressman who is contacted by God to build an ark. The film has had some problems getting off the ground but Steve turned his last two films into box office gold so hopefully this one will do well. Weekend Box Office

It's hard to say who will win this weekend at the box office. Defamer predicts Will Ferrell's Kicking and Screaming will beat J.Lo/J.Fo's Monster-In-Law by about $6M.

Box Office Mojo says its the other way around and I have to agree as much as people like the goofy humor of Will Farrell (Elf did shockingly well), I think Jane Fondaâ€™s return to the big screen will get the baby boomers off the couch and into the multiplexes this weekend.

I saw Monster-In-Law at a screening last week and it was surprising hilarious and super cheesy at the same time. The crowd was definitely pleased. You will laugh at loud if you see this movie - read more you will also cringe a few times when the script is so bad that you are unsure if they are intentionally trying to be cheesy or not.

The movie belongs to Jane Fonda and Wanda Sykes. J.Lo and Michael Varton are fine and cute but the real laughs come when Fonda is on the screen. She looks amazing and maybe it's just refreshing to see an older lady with wrinkles instead of a robot face. I will also admit I am too young to remember her old movies so maybe that's why it was so much fun to watch her. She was fabulous.

Wanda Sykes was the screening last week and she was just a riot. She had the place cracking up non-stop. She confirmed that J.Lo is not a diva and nothing weird went down when Ben Affleck's ex and Jennifer Garner's ex were working together. So weird.

Either way, if you go to the movies this Friday the 13th weekend - you can laugh instead of be scared.

Emmy Leftovers Keep the Party Going All Night Long

The Emmys are over but there are still so many party pictures we just had to combine the rest and share them. The combination of parties included HBO, Comedy Central, FOX and DirecTVs post-Emmys celebration. HBO brought out our favorite celebs like Showtime's Mary-Louise Parker. Hmm, wrong network but she certainly is full of surprises including her newly adopted baby girl from Africa! Is anyone else as shocked as we are to hear this news? Congrats to her growing family. Jon Stewart stayed out to celebrate one of the funniest segments of the show last night when he decided to give the Emmy to Steve Carell.

As for the rest of the HBO gang, congrats Sopranos, Emmanuelle, Ginnifer and Entourage's pregnant Constance Zimmer - you all look fab! As for the Flight of the Conchord guys, well seeing them just makes me want to master lasagna for one. Also, clearly red dresses were just as popular at the after parties as they were on the red carpet. Who do you think is winning the battle of the red dress?
