The Black Eyed Peas' Geeky Stage Costume Evolution

Though you may not recognize it at first, truth is, the Black Eyed Peas are pretty geeky. Their live shows are packed with geek and tech culture references - from a real-life Tron lightcycle, to DJing in a very Iron Man-like suit - and front man, Will.i.am, even has his own digital media company. His first release is the BEP360 app, which lets users get a full 360-degree view of the Peas in one of their music videos.

And while you can interact with the group on stage via BBM at one of their live shows, their costumes are something any geek would be proud to wear. Check out their techy style evolution in this slideshow!

Matt Damon and Zac Efron Lead Opposing Cheering Sections at Celtics vs. Lakers Game!

Matt Damon was a very passionate Boston fan at last night's Celtics vs. Lakers game at the Staples Center in LA. The East Coasters managed to win 109-96, much to the dismay of most of the stars in attendance. Zac Efron and Leonardo DiCaprio are loyal supporters of the home team and braved the rain to enjoy the Sunday afternoon matchup. Brooklyn Decker tweeted that her front row seat next to Adam Sandler was "work" as the twosome get to promoting Just Go With It. Their costar Jennifer Aniston didn't join them, though she did have her own fun weekend out in the city. All the stars watching the Celtics-Lakers meant they didn't join in the SAG festivities, where the rest of Matt's True Grit cast celebrated despite not taking home any statues. Leonardo has so far skipped award season, but he attended Saturday's DGA event and may show up to next month's Oscars, where Inception is up for best picture.

Penelope, Javier, Cameron, and Kanye Celebrate Christmas With the Lakers!

Javier Bardem was quite the sprited cheerleader alongside his very pregnant wife Penelope Cruz at last night's Christmas Lakers game in LA. Javier and Penelope stayed in California for the holiday due to the airport trouble in Europe, and it looks like they had a blast despite the team's tough loss. The happy couple were even featured on the kiss cam and happily obliged with PDA for the crowd! The Staples center was packed with celebrities including Cameron Diaz, who was back from her bikini-filled vacation in Mexico with Alex Rodriguez in time to spend the weekend at home. She had Guy Oseary instead of her romantic getaway partner ARod as her courtside date. Jeremy Piven and Emmanuelle Chriqui had a mini Entourage reunion, while Kanye West chatted with Kris Jenner.

Taylor and Fergie Find Bieber and Usher in the AMAs Press Room

The big winners at last night's American Music Awards in LA went from the star-studded stage into the press room to show off their newly acquired honors. Taylor Swift and Fergie were among the gorgeous girls who dressed up for the event, and they posed for photos after winning Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Band, respectively. Kate Hudson's main man Matt Bellamy celebrated with his boys from Muse, while Usher and Justin Bieber hammed it up with their combined six statues. Fergie Joins Bradley and the Boys at Men's Fashion Week

Bradley Cooper traveled from LA to France, and the first item on his agenda was the Louis Vuitton menswear show yesterday afternoon. He was joined by Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas, as they struck a few poses outdoors before heading inside to check out the presentation. Bradley seems to be upping his fashion game after appearing at the Costume Gala, and a front row seat at the Paris shows should help continue his education.

Rihanna Parties With the Peas and Gets Subpoenaed

Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas hosted an album-release party last night in NYC. Rihanna apparently looked cozy at the soiree with rumored new flame Aubrey "Drake" Graham after he recently denied any romance. She happily mingled with the band, amid news she has officially been subpoenaed to testify at Chris Brown's June 22 hearing. Kanye West is rolling solo after his break up with Amber Rose, but the two apparently still see each other quite a bit. Regardless of all the drama going on in these singers' lives, there's nothing like celebratory party with friends to help everyone unwind and have fun.

Fergie and Her Peas Go From Idol to London With Ease

The other night they were in LA performing on the American Idol finale where Fergie sang her songs with the contestants and then reunited with her boys in the band - which way to you prefer Fergie as an artist? The Peas new album hits stores in June and they have lots of appearances scheduled soon so looks like the group has a busy Summer ahead of them.

Wolverine: Fun, If You Don't Mind That It Makes No Sense

I'm a big fan of the first couple of X-Men movies and of the comic in general. Maybe it's the ensemble cast full of cool mutant powers or the fact that the gang of superheroes includes lots of women, but I've always found this Marvel comic to be totally entertaining - not to mention great source material for movie adaptations.

Definitely one of the better parts of this franchise so far has been Hugh Jackman's take on the surly and brutishly funny Wolverine. This isn't sissy stuff - and the machismo action star gets even more extreme in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. With favorites like Storm and Rogue long gone, we zoom back in time (way back, actually: 1845) to learn how the hot-tempered Logan came to be a lot of things: a mutant with a skeletal system reinforced by adamantium, a very angry mutant, and, in the end, a hero. It's a lot of big, blockbuster fun, as long as you don't mind plot holes you could drive an 18-wheeler through. To see the rest of my thoughts,

The movie starts us out somewhere in the far Northwest Territory in Canada, where a young James Howlett (later known as Wolverine) is very sick. In the first of many head-scratching moments, there's a strange paternal mixup that results in James killing a man with his mutant claws who turns out to be his father. James and his brother, Victor (later played as an adult by Liev Schreiber), then flee to the woods. Apparently the two boys, both afflicted with mutant powers (Victor sprouts catlike claws that one character later describes as "homeless lady" fingernails), grow into men who can live a long time and choose to fight in almost every American war up until Vietnam. You might have a nagging question at this point: but I thought they were Canadian? That's the voice you're going to have to turn off to enjoy this movie.

Eventually the boys become enemies - but it's revealed that all mutants in this pre-X-Men world are simply vulnerable pawns to William Stryker (played by the excellent Danny Huston), a military man who's the friend turned foe in this flick. While this is definitely Wolverine's show (we see him fall in love, lose love, seek revenge, undergo freaky scientific experiments, etc.), he assembles a crew of friends along the way, including Gambit (Taylor Kitsch), John Wraith (will.i.am), and a very funny Wade Wison (played by Ryan Reynolds, who should have had more screen time because he's so good).

Everyone turns in great performances, but Jackman, known these days for being extremely easy on the eyes - not to mention very talented at singing and dancing - slips into the role of moody lumberjack wolfman with a surprising ease. It's awesome and - not gonna lie - extremely hot. There's a lot of talk about "counterprogramming" right now, with Ghosts of Girlfriends Past offered up this weekend as an alternative for women who aren't in the mood for a superhero movie. But for the record, Jackman is shirtless and/or naked in many scenes, and that's all the counterprogramming I need.

The movie has plot holes and logic gaps to spare. It also suffers from a lack of imagination in the fight sequences, with actors tumbling through the film like some kind of poor man's Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Yet, somehow, despite those glaring flaws, this movie isn't completely brain dead and succeeds at being totally entertaining popcorn cinema. When stuff didn't make sense, my audience snickered, but then Wolverine came screaming, adamantium claws out, charging the screen, and we were jolted back into enjoying this fun flick.

Mel Gibson Emerges With Oksana at LA Wolverine Premiere

The boys brought Wolverine to LA last night and were joined by a few supernatural friends. The franchise's former Storm, Halle Berry, looked sexy as ever on the red carpet with Hugh Jackman who was busy with his character's signature arm stance. Ryan Reynolds was hot as ever, but really all eyes were on Mel Gibson who brought his new lady friend Oksana Grigorieva! The Russian composer and actress who used to date Timothy Dalton has been rumored to be Mel's girl since the news broke that he is divorcing his wife of 28 years. If Mel's worried about the upcoming legal proceedings, you certainly can't tell with Oksana on his arm.

Ryan, Hugh, and Liev Bring Their Blockbuster to Arizona

Tempe, AZ, enjoyed a special treat last night after winning an online contest - the hunky guys of X-Men Origins: Wolverine were in town for the US premiere of their film. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman struck a few poses for the cameras, as did Taylor Kitsch, will.i.am, and Lynn Collins. Liev Schreiber, meanwhile, made a statement about their movie being leaked online. The cast was due to make their next stop in Mexico City, but that screening was canceled due to the swine flu threat. Hugh's been traveling the world for weeks already, but he's sure to be a little disappointed not to celebrate south of the border.
