Wonderland Magazine. She did the interview before her painful month, but since then Michelle has been back to work and ready to promote her new projects. The star has always valued her privacy, but in the article she comes clean about everything from
Dawson's Creek to her insecurities to being a mom to Matilda.

I've always liked Michelle, but even more so after reading that interview. The pictures are nice, too.

9Madchen, Katie went to Heath's funeral so maybe they're assuming they are back in touch. Either that or Katie decided to go anyway just to support her former co-star. Or Katie and Tom just wanted another photo op. Dunno....

13But that was the service organized by Heath's agency and they invited all of their clients and other people in the industry, including Tom and Katie (about 700 people were invited).
14I really don't think we can assume Michelle and Katie are back in touch just because of that.
Tragedy aside, she seems likable and I respect her for being so private. I know it drives people crazy but I love it about her. Also love the confession to Ebay addiction!
15Michelle has a nice way of saying I cannot stand Katie and hope to God that I never have to deal with her fake brainwashed ass again. I bet Heath and Michelle did everything in the power to make sure they did not have to associate with Tom or Katie. Those two being at his Hollywood funeral was probably so Katie could show off her latest designer duds.

I don't think them going to the funeral means they're in touch or whatever, Michelle is Katie's ex co-star and an acquaintance they just went to pay their respects.

19I really didn't have an opinion of Michelle but those excerpts make her seem wonderful. An early Shakespeare, I'm uber jealous. Being interested in things like that make her seem so grounded, so heartbreaking her last few weeks.

21Michelle is down to earth and also very beautiful. I'm sure she's completely heartbroken about Heath.
Katie and Tom just wanted a photo-op. They've never met a camera they didn't like.

I think Michelle sees the whole $cientology thing as a weird cult, just like I do (and a lot of other people) so she doesn't want anything to do with it. But that's just my take.
24On a serious note, with all that has been happening in Hollywood lately: Britney's breakdown, every other star going to rehab, two actors dying of drug overdoses, Paris and Lindsay presenting themselves as two of the biggest-ho bags; I cannot for the life of me understand anyone wanting to be famous anymore. These people are nothing to be jealous of and are definitely not worthy of being role models to anyone. Then good old Katie Holmes comes out and says she would love it if her precious little Suri became an actress. Why so she can look pretty to everyone like her mommy does? Everyone knows that people like Katie and Posh are nothing but a pretty exterior to look at. There is nothing inside and usually if there is anything inside it is really ugly or extremely f*cked up.
25I like Katie and think she's gotten unjustly labeled due to her high profile marriage, but I always thought Michelle was a way better actress than Katie. She's done some really amazing indie movies that went straight to dvd.

28I always liked Michelle so much, she seems intelligent and nice. I used to like Katie too before she married Tom, now she's completely lost.
29I feel like I don't see enough of Michelle in movies or on tv..(maybe I am not looking hard enough or in the right spots?) but she is just such an amazing actress and a down to earth person. She knows who she is and I applaud her for that. As for katie.....well I guess brainwashing does exist.

32No, I can't picture Michelle and Katie shopping together with the kids. At all.
Katie would be buying a one time wear child coat for $10,000, while Michelle would want to hit the high end second generation hand me down stores for Matilda while she angrily flips of the paps (she and Heath used to do that all the time).
Katie would talk about Scientology, auditing sessions and still letting her two year old drink barley water and sugar from a baby bottle with a nipple while Michelle would be giving Matilda soymilk in an open top cup.
Katie would wax on about the amazing experience filming Mad Money (
) and how deep she felt
the movie was while Michelle tries without any success to explain the plot and experience of filming Mammoth in Sweden.
Nope.. it just wouldn't work.
33I'm really starting to like this girl. She seems really grounded and thats a rarity from the acting set.
34She looks good in the pics. I don't think Michelle and Katie were ever close, or that she was close to the rest of the main DC cast. I remember reading how moody she used to be and not so flattering comments from one of the DC producers.
She seems interesting from the article hilights.
35Imabeliever! It could happen... it would be cute to see because Suri and Katie would be all completely put-together and polished and Michelle would be in her cotton dress with flats and some bag thrown on with Matilda in some adorable little outfit. It would be cute!

37I always thought it was such a small world when Katie married Tom who used to be married to Nicole Kidman and Michelle was engaged to Heath who used to date Naomi Watts. It was like the best friends' exes got together with the Dawson Creek alums.
She looks amazing here. I feel bad that her interview prior to Heath passing has to hit newsstands now.

44I haven't really known much about her, but the more I learn, the more I like her. I think that's hilarious that she was setting her alarm to wake up in the middle of the night and bid on eBay!
45i wish that people woudln't get on katie's case so much about it. although they aren't best of friends - you have to assume that we don't know the full story - and that perhaps they do keep in touch. katie seems like a genuine person who would want to be there to support someone that she's known for a while.
as for the magazine - i LOVE to see pictures of michelle - she looks great there!

48OMG Michelle sounds exactly like me when she talks about acting. I love love LOVE to act but I HATE attention and everytime I did a play or did anything that put me in front of an audience, I'd be cursing myself backstage as to WHY I put myself in these situations lol. I was even called a few times to attend casting calls but I just couldn't do it. I just don't think I could handle living that life. Kudos to her.
49maybe katie is, but she clearly isn't the same as she was before Tom, she gave up her values and beliefs to be with Tom, that says alot about a person, nobody can assume they are or aren't friends, but since I've never really seen them hang out. I assume they have their own sets of close friends,that they see and spend time with. Just because people do a show together at 19/20 doesn't mean they are friends or close. I never see Katie hang out with anyone from the show. I think she used to be friends with James, but haven't seen her with anyone else. She and Michelle are very different. Maybe they get along, that doesn't mean they are close friends. Either way Michelle and Matilda will be okay and Heath's memory will live on and that is a positive thing.
