SJP shimmered in blue last night to kick off World Water Day in NY. She teamed up with Esquire to launch UNICEF’s Tap Project, an initiative that offers NYC diners the option of donating $1 for their usually free tap water. The money will go towards a program that helps bring clean water to children in the developing world. SJP definitely loves working with UNICEF and we love celebs getting behind good causes. Cheers to SJP and Worldwide Water Day!

Stars Come Together to Earn Money and Give Away Kisses For a Good Cause in San Francisco

Charlize Theron looked beautiful on the red carpet last night at ONEXONE's annual fundraiser in San Francisco. The man of the night Matt Damon sadly had to miss it, as he headed back to Boston for a family emergency, but many other stars were happy to lend a hand to the good cause. We chatted with David Arquette about Coco, after he spent the day at the food bank for Feeding America, and Jeremy Piven who had nothing but great things to say about Matt. Inside the event, Charlize even sold a kiss for $140,000! Here's more:

Charlize Theron on bringing Matt Damon's organization and her charity together for the gala: "We reached out to ONEXONE seeing if they wanted to help us out. We have massive issues with fresh water sources in the area we work with in our schools. The next step for us was to build soccer fields. We have the World Cup next year so it just felt right, but there was something wrong about building soccer fields and knowing that a lot of these kids don't have access to running water. Somebody told me about what Matt does, his work with ONEXONE and I was blown away. So I reached out and he was like we would love to be involved."
Jeremy Piven on Matt's appearance on Entourage: "It was amazing. Matt really gets it. He made it so funny. He played just this really weird, twisted, evil version of himself. His heart was in the right place, but his methods of going about things were really really wrong. And in that way I think he's a comedic genius."

Josh Groban on his guest spot on Glee: "They asked me to make a cameo and I was like sure, but can you make me creepy or something. I'm tired of playing the vanilla guy. Make me a jerk or something, like Matt on Entourage. Give me something I can really sink my teeth into. It was really amazing. To see so many great theater actors on a hit TV show was really cool for me since my background is in theater. It's amazing to see people like Kristin Chenowith and Matthew Morrison on the show. Such a great group of talented people."
Jeremy Piven on being picking up the slack while Matt is away for the night: "I'm absolutely ready! Whatever it takes. That's what's fun about us all being in this together for ONEXONE. We have each others backs which is really, really great. When Matt appeared on Entourage it was basically a 40-minute infomercial for ONEXONE, and I was honored to even be a small part of this event tonight."

Jen Aniston Has Her Late Night Hosting Down Pat

She joked about her clubbing days and the ridiculous outfits she wore, while exploring the world behind the desk. Heidi and Spencer Say They're "Not Booking Any Wedding Anytime Soon"

This morning we brought you a few tidbits from our exclusive interview with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, including their thoughts on Twitter and Spencer's plans to run for office. The couple had plenty more to say about watching The Hills, relationship advice, and their biggest regrets. Here are more highlights:

Spencer on whether or not their relationship drama is real: In real life I did get drunk, and I did get sleazy, and I haven’t heard the end of it. And Heidi talks about it all day long, and we do fight about that. I was totally out of line. So for the last three years, I’ve had my partying in check. The Hills just put me in a bar for three and a half hours just sitting there with a lot of tequila. It just wasn’t a good thing. That’s all really real.
Heidi on whether or not she watches the show: No. I can’t do that. I don’t watch it. It’s too much for me.
Spencer on their plans to get married again: At this point Heidi laughs at me when I talk about getting married again. You know, she says, how could you disrespect me again? I’m kind of in the hot water world. I would love to go back to Cabo and have another Cabo wedding ASAP.

Spencer on their reported wedding date: I don’t know where that came from. I love when people tell me I have a wedding date set. First off, we’re not booking any wedding anytime soon until you talk to Heidi’s mom. She said I drugged her daughter into marrying her last time so I don’t know. That would be false.
Heidi on how to stay together on reality TV: Right now it’s been really hard for Spencer and I to stay together. When stuff happens like last night on the show, what are you supposed to do? It’s so much harder than it happening in real life, because everyone’s watching it. It’s mortifying. I understand how people don’t stay together on these reality shows.
Spencer on what's next: Heidi’s five-song album, mini EP, Wherever I Am comes out on iTunes April 28. I don’t know if that’s as juicy as you were looking for, but hey.

Guess we'll have to wait and see if a wedding really is in the works for these two, but in the meantime it sounds like they've got plenty of other projects on their plates that they're ready to share with the world.

Kiefer Talks Torture and Getting Turned on - 24 Is Back!

Kiefer Sutherland and the rest of the cast of 24 took the stage at this morning's Fox TCA panel, and while the questions kept coming back to whether or not the show condones torture, they managed to get a few good jokes in. After this week's four-hour season premiere and last month's TV movie 24: Redemption, are you on board with the new season? The show's producers and cast seem hopeful that a little break has made the show and Jack Bauer reinvigorated and ready to excite us. Here were some highlights from Kiefer at the press presentation:

On Jack this season: "We felt that Jack had great contempt for the Senate investigation because many of the things he was asked to do over the previous six seasons were ordered by the government (president). He is certainly questioning many of the things he has been asked to do, either ordered or on his own. He is wrestling with his own history and whether or not he is the kind of person who should have been asked to do these sorts of things. This inner struggle is something he carries for all 24 episodes."
On torture: "The use of torture was a dramatic device used to show urgency, not meant to validate this kind of behavior for the real world . . . In reality less than 10 percent of information they get from situations like this are helpful, but it is a television show and we are driving a plot forward and we use it for dramatic effect. But it does raise question of right and wrong . . . From my perspective it has always been literally a dramatic device to show you the urgency of a situation. There was just no alternative. One of the most moving scenes for me was killing my boss - we’re not condoning that, it was just part of the show. It’s as simple as that."
On keeping in shape: “Try to work out as much as you can in the off-season because it's tricky to maintain in the on-season. You do what you can with the time you’ve got like everyone. I run, and lucky for me during the day when I have to go to work, I run a lot there too. On an emotional level, fear and panic is my workout through the entire season . . .This has been an unbelievable gift . . . There is no specific regimen I have because our schedule changes so much."
On his 24 romance with the new FBI agent, played by Annie Wersching: "Given the situation I guess romances do develop over 24 hours. I think born of the respect [they have for each other] there is a tension that develops. Watching Annie do her first fight sequence I went, 'You know, that kinda turned me on too,' so it wasn't hard."

On the show as a phenomenon: "My name is not Kiefer anymore, it's Jack, and people talk to me like that . . . this character had these unbelievable characteristics but is really human. Nothing in 24 is black and white, it lives in a gray area and people were receptive at that time to accept something like that. It’s something that I am continually trying to figure out."
On the show being realistic: "In regards to the not sleeping, we’ve shot 24 for 17-18 hours and can imagine staying up for 24, but in season one he does fall asleep. There are aspects and times when we can play with that, but I haven’t been that focused on it the past few years. One time I walked into a restroom, but they cut it out. It’s not for lack of trying."
On shooting in Africa: "I went down to South Africa with a lot of prejudgments, I was very strongly against apartheid, I was aware that even with new government an unbelievable portion of the population is living in poverty and that population is [mostly] black . . . But when I started working with these nine children I was startled by how aware they are and how much joy they have. They took us into the townships with no running water or paved roads, and it made me take a serious look at myself and some of the things I might complain about . . . How unbelievably warm and affectionate these children were was really inspiring."

Victoria Beckham Smiles and Gets Tons of Celebrity Praise

Victoria Beckham is taking the world by storm, again. Her new dress line sold out before it even hit the racks and, lucky her, she needs no model or celebrity face other than herself to sell her sexy, sultry, sophisticated brand. This time she's posing on the cover of Harper's Bazaar talking in her usual down to earth way and earning some awesome compliments from Heidi Klum to Marc Jacobs and more. Here are highlights:

On her persona: "I go into hair and makeup, and I turn into 'Victoria Beckham.' I'll try on all my dresses, and I'll pick out a handbag, and I'll put on the shades. I instantly turn into this person, and it sort of feels like a character. And there are so many pictures of it. . . But it's a true character because it's still me. . . If I go to the supermarket looking like sh*t, that affects my work. I am selling an image. Plus, I have fun with it."
On posing: "I have started smiling. I've mastered this smirk; it's a smile that isn't a smile. . . I used to get so nervous, and when I got on the red carpet, I'd freeze up. I've had so many things said about me over the years, like a public bullying. . . The older you get, the more comfortable you become with yourself, and you accept what you have physically. Also, the fact that my business is doing very well" - she smiles - "makes me feel a little more confident, too."
On having another baby: "I'm such a girl's girl. I walk into my closet and go, 'Crikey!' To one day hand that down to another girl ..." But no, she is not pregnant. "You get a little water retention; it's not news. Me, Katie [Holmes], Eva [Longoria], and Kate [Beckinsale] always joke about how one of us is allegedly pregnant, but no, we're just a little bloated today! None of us is pregnant."

On the paparazzi: "I don't complain about paparazzi because I've put myself in that position, and so has David. But I always say to the boys, someone is going to take your picture because you're handsome or you're smart or because you're so good at soccer. But every now and again, Romeo might pick up one of David's cameras and say, 'Victoria, Victoria, over here!' And his attitude is sort of angry."

Matt Damon Wants Clean Water For Everyone

Matt Damon stopped by the Clinton Global Initiative in NYC on Friday to talk about H2O Africa, his clean water project. He was there as part of his commitment to the Global Water Challenge, which helps provide sanitary and clean drinking water to the world's poorest populations. The cause has been close to Matt's big heart for years and now his charity work is more important to him than ever. After his big day, hopefully he found somewhere to sit back, relax, loosen up his tie and watch the debate.

PopSugar Exclusive Interview with Lauren Conrad

When we caught up with Lauren Conrad, the sunny California starlet was relaxing in her home we all know so well from The Hills. Lauren was friendly and down to earth, which was just what we expected from the everyday girl gone famous who we've watched grow up over the past five years. She stopped mid-sentence to ask Lo what music they've been listening to and walked over to her fridge - around boxes from her basement flooding that morning! - to look in and tell us what was inside. With a hit show, fashion collection, and growing resume, this girl from the small town of Laguna Beach has grown up, landing her at the number 25 spot on the 2008 PopSugar 100. We talked about the highlights of this year and other fun things like fashion, food, fitness, friends, and cute Chloe.

PopSugar: Can you describe some of the highlights of your past year?
Lauren Conrad: I would say the biggest highlight is the launch of my line. I also bought my own house, which was exciting. The show is going really well, that’s nothing new but that’s been kind of exciting.

PS: We just read recently that you thought Laguna Beach was going to be a one-time documentary?
LC: Yeah when they originally asked us to do it it was called the “Unrestricted High School Project” and I thought it was just one episode. They said they were really interested in the fact that we had all grown up together in a small town and we were all really a close-knit group of people, and they wanted to do a small documentary on a group of friends, so that was kind of what we signed up for. It’s funny, you see the little pilots that they showed us initially and it looks nothing like the end of the show.

PS: Wow really? And when did they say, "We are going to make this a full-blown TV series"?
LC: We all signed up to do this little pilot that no one has ever seen except for us - I don’t even know what they did with it. They showed it to us and we were like, "Oh this looks great" and then they said, "It got picked up" so that is when they started shooting and it kind of became what it has and no one really realized what it was until we all got sent the first episode, right before it aired!

PS: What has it been like for the show to have become so successful?
LC: I think I have been pretty lucky that it happened gradually because the mood kind of started out pretty small and then it slowly got bigger, I mean none of us were really expecting it, it was crazy for us then, and since then it slowly escalated, but since it has been slowly it has been kind of nice. It allowed us time to process it.

PS: Was there ever a time when you woke up and were like, "Whoa, this is all happening to me?"
LC: Yeah, I think we had just graduated and the first season had just began airing and I was at a game with a couple of my guy friends and a little girl saw my friend Stephen and pulled out her inhaler. I think it was at that moment - it really freaked me out too, I was like I think we might have signed up for something bigger than we thought!
PS: [Laughs] Did she recover?
LC: Yeah she did she was fine, but I mean it was weird to see someone have that sort of reaction to someone you have known your whole life.

PS: So going back through this past year do you think there are any lessons you have learned or something that you’re going to take away?
LC: I think that in the past year I have really gotten a chance to see who my true friends are and who is going to be there for me, you know, no matter what? Like Lo is one of my best friends from high school, and Audrina obviously has always been there for me, and I think that when it gets to a point when it's almost too much that’s when those people are there for you.

PS: If you could go back to a year ago and tell yourself some advice, what would it be?
LC: It would be that I’m never going to please everybody so I should just give up now [laughs]. I mean you can waste so much energy trying to make everyone happy, but at the end of the day it's impossible to please everyone, so you just need to focus on what makes you happy.

PS: What does sort of a typical day look like for you?
LC: They are all kind of different, this week is crazy because we have a photo shoot every single day. Except Wednesday I am not the model, I’m shooting my resort lookbook and I have to be there all day, so those are actually even longer, it's almost more work when you are not the model - it's like an 11 or 12 hour day. I mean normally we film a few days out of the week and other days we are kind of doing other stuff, just the other things we work on in our lives, we keep pretty busy.

PS: So the interview we talked about with Laguna Beach being a documentary, because of the editing, you also said you are actually a lot happier than the show makes you look? So we are wondering what are the things we are missing out on as viewers that make you happy?
LC: It’s not like the Real World, in that show they put a bunch of people in a house with tons of booze and see what happens. In The Hills, if one of us has too much to drink, they drive us home. So that’s the difference, they don’t want us to get smashed on camera, they don’t want us to be train wreaks, they focus on the parts of our lives that are actually more interesting.

PS: Have you ever come across anyone in all of your nights out that made you really starstruck? Any fun celebrities?
LC: Actually yeah, I met Marc Jacobs when we were filming and I got so nervous when I saw him that I didn’t really know what to do, but I was trying to act cool, but I didn’t even stand up to shake his hand, I actually came off a little bit too cold, like I didn’t really care and I felt kind of bad. I get really starstruck over really random people and designers.

PS: George Clooney or Brad Pitt?
LC: Better with age.
PS: Matt Damon or Ben Affleck?
LC: I don’t know! I like Matt Damon more I think.
PS: Katie Holmes or Victoria Beckham?
LC: Frowns! You don’t see them smile!
PS: Dawson’s Creek, The OC or Gossip Girl?
LC: Gossip Girl! I love it.
PS: Do you prefer bags or shoes?
LC: Oh, shoes!

PS: Are you a Mac girl or a PC girl?
LC: Both actually, mostly PC but I like Mac to edit photos or art
PS: Sit-ups or push-ups?
LC: I hate them both! But probably sit-ups
Project Runway or America’s Next Top Model?
LC: Project Runway.
PS: Heels or flats?
LC: Heels
PS: Karl or Mark?
LC: Karl!
PS: Frozen yogurt or ice cream?
LC: Ice cream - if you’re going to do it go all the way!
PS: Real tan or fake tan?
LC: Fake tan - but a good one, not orange. It's better for your skin since everyone is going to get skin cancer

LC: High fashion
PS: Lip gloss or lipstick?
LC: Lip gloss
PS: What do you have on your iPod right now?
LC: I love MGMT, the Kooks, M.I.A. "Paper Planes", The Orion Experience "Obsessed With You".
PS: What is the last book you read?
LC: I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. Have you read it?
PS: No, I haven’t
LC: It’s really vulgar but a lot of my guy friends were frat guys so I get the humor.
PS: What is your favorite TV show?
LC: Gossip Girl.
PS: What are some of your guilty pleasures TV wise?
LC: I don’t really watch that much TV, but I will wait until whole seasons are over and then download the whole thing on iTunes because I’m really impatient. I just started watching Greek and I used to be obsessed with Grey's Anatomy, but it’s kind of dying for me. I mostly end up watching Sex and the City reruns actually.

PS: Do you ever Google your dates?
LC: Yeah, all of them! But I don’t believe everything I read though. I Google pictures to see ex-girlfriends and stuff [laughs].
PS: Do you have any dating advice?
LC: Probably just have fun with it, I never take dates too seriously. Oh and I don’t kiss on a first date.

PS: What is your favorite cocktail?
LC: Depends where, I have a favorite cocktail at every place.
PS: Do you go with the specialty drinks at every bar?
LC: Yeah, I like to try a lot of different things everywhere we go. I’ll usually order whatever their specialty drink is with vodka, but for an everyday drink I usually just drink vodka and soda water.

PS: If we opened your fridge right now what would we find?
LC: I can actually tell you, I’m just wandering around my house right now. It’s filled with boxes because my basement flooded this morning. There's leftover grilled vegetables, berries, and vitamins… yeah that is pretty much it! We don’t have too much in there because it goes bad. We have berries and such to snack on, but if we are really hungry there are tons of restaurants all around us.

PS: How’s Chloe?
LC: Chloe actually just got back from puppy boot camp because she wasn’t learning anything, but now she is. She still eats everything but she is good!
PS: Do you enjoy having a puppy?
LC: Yeah, she is great. She just eats my shoes. She has eaten a couple pairs literally out of the box too! I never even got to wear them.

PS: What is your favorite perfume?
LC: I have a lot of different perfumes, but I really like Dior Miss Cherie, or Marc Jacobs. I also wear Michael Kors and for everyday I wear Kai, which is a sort of gardenia scent.
PS: Do you have any interest in doing your own perfume?
LC: Not really. I think it’s kind of weird to want to smell like someone, but I don’t know - it could be fun to do like a line of them, not just a personal scent.

PS: Do you ever look back on a hair or makeup style and think, “What was I thinking?”
LC: Most of them, yeah! I used to have bleached blonde hair - Lo and I both - and we burned all of the pictures. They were really bad!
PS: So they won’t end up online?
LC: I think a few of are, but all the personal ones we got rid of.

PS: Do you have any Summer must have items?
LC: Sunscreen. I use a lot less of everything during the Summer - less makeup and almost no hair products. Summer is a little more natural I feel like. I think good bikinis because it's summer!

PS: We've seen you going to the gym a lot lately.
LC: Yeah I started again, its really hurting me!
PS: What is your routine at the gym?
LC: I just started doing more kickboxing which is really fun, and the way [my trainer] does it it's like a full body workout. Like squat, lunge, squat, lunge, or lower punches. It’s really like a full body workout, but I do a half hour of kickboxing and then he has me just do weights. We also do running most days and Chloe likes it.

PS: If you could finish this sentence, “I can’t live without my…..”
LC: I can’t live without my friends.

PS: Do you have the premiere date of The Hills?
LC: Yeah, it’s in August sometime, they haven’t told me. A Monday in mid-August!

PS: Our readers are dying to know what happens this season!
LC: I haven’t seen any of it yet, but I kind of know what happens because I was there [laughs]. There is actually a lot of good stuff coming up which, luckily, has not been reported on. We are making a big effort to hide it - it's kind of weird, we can’t really talk about things that are happening on the show. Normally everyone already knows what happens, but this season most of it has stayed pretty quiet. Obviously some of the stuff has been reported on, but a lot of it is only half the story, so the show kind of clarifies things sometimes.

PS: Are you going to be at New York Fashion Week in September? Working or for fun?
LC: Yeah, right now I am planning on it, but I never know for sure. Kelly [Cutrone] hasn’t told us whether we are working yet or not. I will either have to go out with Kelly or I will just go out to see some of the shows.

Lauren also told us about her fun 4th of July and how busy life has been after returning from her recent break. She sounds happy and excited to have the opportunity to be living out her dreams all while trying to keep her newfound fame in perspective. After talking to the starlet, we're happy to report she still seems like that sweet girl from Laguna Beach High School, but certainly a bit wiser.

Jay-Z Gets a Little, Gives A lot

Jay-Z has lots to celebrate. His successful Rocawear clothing label, beautiful girlfriend Beyonce, and last week he had his best sales ever for Kingdom Come. He topped the charts, tying the Rolling Stones for the third most number one hits. Now that he has conquered the charts again, he is moving on to bigger and better things like doing good deeds. The rapper is concerned about the state of drinking water in third world countries. So much so that he invited MTV to follow him around on his recent trip to South Africa to gain awareness for the cause. Here are highlights:

"I was looking for a cause to attach myself to," he said. "I knew I was going to some places where there was problems and as soon as I came across the problems of water, and seen the numbers that were attached to it, I was like - this is it....Three people die every three minutes … from easily preventable diseases."

In the town of Luanda, Angola, he followed 14-year-old Bela, who must fetch and carry 40 pounds of water, twice a day. When he offered to help share the burden and carry the water on a one-half-mile trek, he was taken aback by the sheer strength that was required.

"It's not only 40 pounds … it's water so it moves," he said. "And the roads, they aren't paved. It's not like walking on perfectly paved Fifth Avenue. You're walking on rocks and it's a dirt road and the water is moving. I couldn't walk to the end of the block holding it. I had to switch hands about three times."

"It made me realize that as tough as we had it - and there are tough neighborhoods in the places that I grew up - but that's not the bottom," he said. "You know they say 'I'm from the bottom.' It's not really the bottom, because you have water, and roads [that] are paved, and you can go to school … You don't have to play out in open sewage. Now that's the 'hood."

H&M Loves Kylie

Kylie looked amazing the other day all decked out at the Galliano fashion show in Paris. But she always looks fabulous, that's why she was recently deemed the World's Best Dressed Woman. It's no surprise then that H&M chose her to be the face for their new appropriately named H&M Loves Kylie beachwear campaign. The best part is that it isn't all about glamour - a portion of the proceeds will also go to charity. Here's more:

H&M said 10 percent of the revenues from the "H&M Loves Kylie" line, available from mid-May, would be donated to the charity WaterAid which provides clean water and sanitation.

"It has been a great experience to work with H&M on creating this summer range," Minogue said in a statement. "To me it is all about summer indulgence, effortless chic and lots of fun."

Beachwear is so perfect for Kylie: she's Australian, she's blonde, she's gorgeous! We can't wait to get our hands on some of her new chic gear! Between Kylie, Madonna and Viktor & Rolf, H&M seems to have all the bases covered.
