Luke Hopes New Film Kills at The Box Office

Luke Wilson and Tea Leoni premiered their new film, You Kill Me in LA last night. Luke's film Vacancy came and went but hopefully You Kill Me will be more popular. The film stars Ben Kingsley as an alcoholic hit man who is sent out to the West Coast to dry out. Luke plays his gay AA sponsor and Tea is the love interest. It hits the theaters June 22 so click here to check out the trailer. If this film isn't for you then there's always his August release with Jessica Simpson, Blonde Ambition, but we're still a little shocked he signed on to that one.

Megan Has a Hot Temper and Knows the Power of Her Body

Megan Fox wears her signature pout and shows off her body on the cover of Rolling Stone's October issue, striking a few sexy poses during her photo shoot. She hasn't shown any signs of fatigue as she continues to promote Jennifer's Body, which features a girl-on-girl makeout scene Megan admits is gratuitous. The actress is known for her slightly ridiculous remarks to the press, and she doesn't disappoint in this interview - she talks about stopping herself from stabbing Brian Austin Green. Here's more:

On her bad temper: "My temper is ridiculously bad. I've had to say to Brian, 'You have to go and stop talking to me, because I'm going to kill you. I'm going to stab you with something, please leave.' I'd never own a gun for that reason. I wouldn't shoot to kill. But I would shoot him in the leg, for sure."
On the secret to her seductive qualities: "[My secret is] a powerful, confident vagina. Men are scared of vaginas. [A woman is most powerful when she is] completely in charge of her sexuality."
On her public persona vs her true self: "I don’t really want to share myself with the public. I want to deflect attention from my reality."

Diane Kruger Likes Being One of the Boys

Diane Kruger was up early this morning in NYC for an appearance on Live With Regis and Kelly. She's dedicated to getting out there to promote Inglourious Basterds with premieres across the globe, though she also finds time to unwind by partying with Brad and Angelina. At a recent press junket, Diane gushed about her admiration for Brad and talked about how comfortable she was working with him - check out the video of her interview here. She also had lots to say about Quentin Tarantino and drinking with the cast in Berlin. Here's more:

On Inglourious's male-oriented cast : "It's fun being one of the boys. It's fun to play a character that is tough and gets down and dirty and not to be this precious little piece that sits in the corner and just stands by the action."
On filming the movie in Berlin: "It [was] nice to be able to go home, my family [was] two hours away. I love the German food! Every Friday on Quentin's sets, the crew drinks and everybody goes. There's a bar we would go to all the time called Tarantino's. The owner is Quentin's biggest fan, the whole place is filled with memorabilia. Of course, he's never met Quentin. One night Quentin walks in, Brad Pitt right behind him with the entire cast. The guy nearly had a heart attack. I mean, can you imagine?"
On what she's most grateful for: "That I'm still here. That I'm sitting here today. Who knew? Knock on wood. It's been a journey and finally things are turning around, I think."

On auditioning for Tarantino: "The tough part is to get the job. He's one of the last directors in Hollywood who gets away with only hiring the actors he absolutely wants for a part - he would not have hired Brad Pitt if he wasn't Aldo Raine. It was hard for me to get the job, he had someone else in mind. He didn't believe I was German. It's like 'for god's sake, what's next?' He saw every actress in Germany, so you know you have to deliver in the room. Once I got hired, it was a walk in the park. I mean it was a very challenging part and there were hard days at the office. I haven't been allowed, in America at least, to play quite such a strong, tough, fierce woman. His dialogue is great, but it's not easy. You have to read it a few times. It's not your typical Hollywood shebang."
On her favorite TV shows: "Mad Men is my favorite show. I do like Fringe, of course. I'm a little biased, I wasn't going to bring that up."
On working with Josh: "He's pretty busy right now, so I don't think that for the next couple years there's going to be any projects between the two of us. I want to be one of the gooey monsters that gets killed on Fringe. It would be so fun."

It's hard to believe almost a year has gone by since Heath Ledger's tragic passing, but next Thursday will be the one-year anniversary of his death. He's already been honored with a few posthumous awards, including a Golden Globe, and with Oscar nominations less than a week away, the buzz around Heath's performance in The Dark Knight is as loud as ever. To continue honoring and celebrating his memory, Entertainment Weekly made Heath its cover story with quotes and highlights about his life from the people that worked closely with the actor and grew to know and love him over the years. The day after he died, he was going to meet Steven Spielberg to explore the idea of playing Tom Hayden in a movie about the Chicago 7. This wasn't a guy who was even for a second thinking about checking out in any way, shape, or form. There's a moment in The Dark Knight when Heath's hanging upside down and he says to Batman, 'You and I are destined to do this forever.' It's a very sad moment. A sequel certainly would have happened. I cringe when I read that he was a tortured soul or a Method actor who couldn't get out of his own way because he'd played this dark character. It's just not true."
Oldman: "If Heath does get an Oscar nomination, I can just picture him up there, looking down and going, F---!"

Kiefer Talks Torture and Getting Turned on - 24 Is Back!

Kiefer Sutherland and the rest of the cast of 24 took the stage at this morning's Fox TCA panel, and while the questions kept coming back to whether or not the show condones torture, they managed to get a few good jokes in. After this week's four-hour season premiere and last month's TV movie 24: Redemption, are you on board with the new season? The show's producers and cast seem hopeful that a little break has made the show and Jack Bauer reinvigorated and ready to excite us. Here were some highlights from Kiefer at the press presentation:

On Jack this season: "We felt that Jack had great contempt for the Senate investigation because many of the things he was asked to do over the previous six seasons were ordered by the government (president). He is certainly questioning many of the things he has been asked to do, either ordered or on his own. He is wrestling with his own history and whether or not he is the kind of person who should have been asked to do these sorts of things. This inner struggle is something he carries for all 24 episodes."
On torture: "The use of torture was a dramatic device used to show urgency, not meant to validate this kind of behavior for the real world . . . In reality less than 10 percent of information they get from situations like this are helpful, but it is a television show and we are driving a plot forward and we use it for dramatic effect. But it does raise question of right and wrong . . . From my perspective it has always been literally a dramatic device to show you the urgency of a situation. There was just no alternative. One of the most moving scenes for me was killing my boss - we’re not condoning that, it was just part of the show. It’s as simple as that."
On keeping in shape: “Try to work out as much as you can in the off-season because it's tricky to maintain in the on-season. You do what you can with the time you’ve got like everyone. I run, and lucky for me during the day when I have to go to work, I run a lot there too. On an emotional level, fear and panic is my workout through the entire season . . .This has been an unbelievable gift . . . There is no specific regimen I have because our schedule changes so much."
On his 24 romance with the new FBI agent, played by Annie Wersching: "Given the situation I guess romances do develop over 24 hours. I think born of the respect [they have for each other] there is a tension that develops. Watching Annie do her first fight sequence I went, 'You know, that kinda turned me on too,' so it wasn't hard."

On the show as a phenomenon: "My name is not Kiefer anymore, it's Jack, and people talk to me like that . . . this character had these unbelievable characteristics but is really human. Nothing in 24 is black and white, it lives in a gray area and people were receptive at that time to accept something like that. It’s something that I am continually trying to figure out."
On the show being realistic: "In regards to the not sleeping, we’ve shot 24 for 17-18 hours and can imagine staying up for 24, but in season one he does fall asleep. There are aspects and times when we can play with that, but I haven’t been that focused on it the past few years. One time I walked into a restroom, but they cut it out. It’s not for lack of trying."
On shooting in Africa: "I went down to South Africa with a lot of prejudgments, I was very strongly against apartheid, I was aware that even with new government an unbelievable portion of the population is living in poverty and that population is [mostly] black . . . But when I started working with these nine children I was startled by how aware they are and how much joy they have. They took us into the townships with no running water or paved roads, and it made me take a serious look at myself and some of the things I might complain about . . . How unbelievably warm and affectionate these children were was really inspiring."

Tom Cruise's Power Is All in the Details

Tom Cruise looks like his Color of Money character with his powerful stare on the cover of Details magazine. John Mayer, Robert Downey Jr., and Nick Jonas all made this year's "Power List" with Tom at No. 7 spot as Leading Man. Tom talks about controversial Valkyrie and what he has in common with his character. Here's more:

On why he chose the film: "When you make people reconsider something that they're so certain of . . . I found it very compelling. It's the reason I'm doing it. When I was a kid, we'd play war, you know, and it was always 'Kill the Nazis.' I wanted to kill Hitler. [. . .] It's about doing the right thing, but also about finding out what the right thing is. You know what I mean? I do feel that this movie was the right thing to do . . . I love movies. Yeah, man, I love movies!"
On people criticizing the movie: "There's always someone telling you not to make a movie. When I did Born on the Fourth of July, they said, 'This is going to ruin your career. What are you doing?' Suicide? I've committed it. There were people who didn't want me to make Top Gun."
On whether he relates to his character: "Certain decisions at points in my life . . . I absolutely related. Stauffenberg went from saying, 'Someone should shoot that bastard' to realizing, I'm the only one who can do it. You can't really know until you're under that kind of pressure. I'm not saying this in some chest-pounding way, but I do feel I'd have that kind of courage."

Tom Cruise sounds passionate about his new movie, which opens up Dec. 26. It may not seem like cheery holiday fare, but it will be a typically action packed Tom Cruise film.

Britney Has Nothing But Smiles For Rolling Stone

The photos show a perfect balance of sexy and flirty, and it's refreshing to see Britney smiling and laughing again. Here are more highlights from the article where the pop star talks about her boys, her ex, and her music:

On Kevin Federline: "I didn't think my husband was gonna leave me. Otherwise, I'd be with my babies 24/7. But since they're almost like twins, they both take care of each other. I think they look like me. They don't look like their father at all."
On the boys: "Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they're such special people . . . Like, they're going to preschool now! I went there to pick them up on Friday, and seeing them in their little classroom and seeing Jayden being bad or not listening? It's like, those are mine, and it's just crazy, you know what I mean? And the things that are coming out of their mouths right now - they're learning so much, and it's new, and you never know what they're going to say, and they're so smart yet so innocent. They're obsessed with monsters, and every night we look outside, and we have to show them that there's no monsters out there. It's dark outside, but there's nothin' out there, you know."
On using personal experiences in her music: "It's scary to put yourself out there and be like, 'Oh, God, is that cool?' If you're not going to really go for it, you can't just go there halfway. But sometimes, when you go for it, you can't lose."

It sounds like Britney is growing up and coming into her own in both her career and personal life as a mother, but without losing the sweet Southern girl she always was on the inside.

Catching Up With Emmanuelle Chriqui

Last year we had the opportunity to interview the fabulous Emmanuelle Chriqui, and we were lucky enough to chat with the actress again this week. She's been super busy promoting You Don't Mess With The Zohan all over LA, including a stop by Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday night. We got the scoop on everything from working with big names in Hollywood, to returning to Entourage, to being a big environmentalist. She was also nice enough to share a few of her fashion and beauty secrets, so be sure to head over to Fab and Bella to check it out. Here's a preview of what she had to say:

On working with Adam Sandler: "Oh my God, he is so incredible. I can’t say enough good things about Adam, he constantly impresses me. He is the most grounded, real person ever. It’s the weirdest thing, and to kind of be as iconic as he is, he never loses what his priorities are - like his family and friends, being a good person and it’s amazing to see that in Hollywood. You kind of wish everybody was like that. "
On being green: "I am a huge environmentalist, and I drive a Prius. I’m a part of the Environmental Media Association, and I think it is the coolest thing in the world to be green. I really do, I think it is especially important for young people to just sort of jump on that bandwagon because this is our world, we have the chance to save it or kill it. I just think it is majorly important. It is something I am passionate about - it's not uncool to be green. It is the opposite!"

PopSugar: Adam Sandler's not the only big name you are working with these days. Tell us about Cadillac Records?
Emmanuelle: I am so excited about that movie. Just because it was a script that I read that I totally fell in love with. It’s just an amazing story about musical history that shaped everything - music as we know it today. And of course working with Adrien Brody and Jeffrey Wright was ridiculous, I would have paid to do that movie!

PS: How about Patriotville?
Emmanuelle: We did a re-shoot on Patriotville, I’m actually really grateful for it because we got to fine tune a lot of things. I haven’t seen the new version yet, but apparently they are pretty happy so hopefully that will be something that will be coming out in the future.

PS: Do you like doing the more comedic role or like the dramatic stuff better?
Emmanuelle: You know, I love them both, they are such different experiences, but ultimately both totally exhilarating. I think what it is is when you work with someone who is at the top of their game, whatever their game is, it is just an amazing experience -like working with Sandler and Rob Schneider and John Turturro who are seasoned comedians, it is so amazing as an actor when you feel like you have to step up your game, like you are being challenged just by the company your holding. It’s just awesome.

PS: Do you miss the TV work or do you really like the movies right now?
Emmanuelle: I love the movie stuff, my dream was also to be doing film, but having said that, Entourage was not only the thing that totally changed the direction in my career, but you know I miss the show. I miss the guys. I’m going to be going back for one episode this season. It remains sort of open between E and Sloan - who knows what is going to happen. But like I just think cable shows, generally speaking, are not like regular television, and working with HBO and Entourage - a critically acclaimed show - you know, that show always felt like making a movie. We were always on location. And even in the way that they had premieres for the show, it always felt like it was more of a movie than a TV show.

PS: Do you keep in touch with the boys at all?
Emmanuelle: Yeah, well, in particular Kevin Connelly who is truly one of my best friends. We talk all the time. They are like my brothers. You know, the other day, it was really funny - I had a meeting in Beverly Hills and as I was leaving I saw this film crew and I was like, "Oh I wonder if that is Entourage?" And then I saw our prop master and it was! And then I see Kevin standing at the curb and was like, “Kevin! Hey!” So I walk over and it was like the sweetest thing, like one by one all the boys came over and said hello. It was just like a family, truly like a family. And you know, even though I am not a regular on the show, I never feel like, “Oh what is she doing here?” It's always like, "Oh yay!" It’s just a really nice thing.

PS: They seem like really nice guys, but you know, it's nice to hear that they actually are.
Emmanuelle: Yeah, they are, they are really amazing.

Shia's Suited Up for GQ and Indiana Jones

Shia LaBeouf has been all over NYC promoting Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and the rising star also scored the June cover of GQ. Sounds like perfect plane reading as he jets off to Cannes this week. He pulled out his serious faces to go with his big puppy dog eyes for the shoot, but in the article he's just as goofy as ever and gives a little peek at his sweet side, too. Here are highlights:

On the projects that he chooses: “The [Ryan] Goslings of the world are incredible to watch,” he says. “But they make character pieces. It’s not that I’m not interested in making those, it’s just that I really enjoy watching movies like the ones I’m making, where there’s a lot happening-big-ensemble, orchestral types of movies and not just a solo act.”
On getting a ticket for unlawful smoking: “They had just implemented a law that you couldn’t smoke anywhere in Burbank. And I didn’t hear about this law, because I was shooting. The guy gives me a ticket. Then the court date came up two days after I had gotten back from shooting, and I just forgot about it. The news went everywhere, like I was on a crime spree. And it killed me. It broke my heart, because I really try not to be that guy.”

On the rumors that he was dating Rihanna: “My friends were like, ‘Are you serious, bro? Are you f*ckin’ kidding me? Why didn’t you tell me about that?’ I was like, ‘I really don’t know her like that.’ For weeks they were singing that ‘Umbrella’ song everywhere I walked. And those are my people.”
On his parents: “They don’t work. I take care of them, and they get to create art for the rest of their days.”

Shia has a bit of growing up to do, but it sounds like his heart is still in the right place in the midst of all the buzz that's surrounded him for the past year or so. As for his arrests - we love that he doesn't want to be stereotyped as the bad boy, even if he does enjoy milking his stories for a few laughs.

Harlow Madden Scores Her Second Modeling Gig

Nicole and Joel introduced their adorable daughter to the world on the cover of People in February, and little Harlow must love the camera because she scored her second photoshoot, this time for Harper's Bazaar. She even let her parents and grandpa in on the fun for a shoot that took place at Lionel Richie's house in LA. Nicole hasn't hesitated to gush about her new life lately, and this interview was no exception as she talked about her career, Joel, and Harlow, Harlow, Harlow. Here are highlights:

On what surprises her about motherhood: "Hmm, I would say how fun it is. Everybody talks about how difficult it is in the first three months, but I absolutely love it."
On Joel: "[He has] a different way of thinking. But at the same time, he's never tried to change me. And if anything, we were friends first. We just have fun together. When we're apart, we just get on iChat and don't even say anything to each other." She starts to giggle. "He likes to get girly sometimes. But he'd kill me if he knew I said that!"
On getting married: "One day, yeah - not tomorrow, not today. We are committed to our family. I'm 26. I've definitely had a very eventful year. So right now, it's about me enjoying my time with my daughter."

Nicole and Joel might not be ready to settle down as the most traditional parents in the world, but it seems like they have softened up a lot since welcoming their new addition. It will be fun to see if Harlow follows in her parents' trouble making footsteps, or blaze a brand new trail for herself.
