There was a chance for Ryan to show off his smooth moves, when he engaged in some classic movie dancing with Al Roker. The Today Show crew got into the holiday spirit on their annual Halloween episode this morning with help from Tina Fey and Will Ferrell, who were decked out as their characters in Megamind. Hosts Meredith Vieira and Natalie Morales both took the singing star approach as Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, respectively, even going the extra mile with choreographed performances. Al Roker, meanwhile, was Superman, and Ann Curry channeled Amelia Earhart. She and Spencer apparently thought things with Al got tense, as they later told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show - check out the audio below. Heidi said to Ryan that their chat with Al left her crying, and she even went on to advise women to be careful around him. Matt and Al's Rhythmic Gymnastics: Hilarious or Humiliating?

On the Today show this morning, Matt Lauer and Al Roker performed a men's tandem rhythmic gymnastics routine to the tune of "Dream Weaver." (Note: Men's tandem rhythmic gymnastics is not an actual sport - yet.) The parody was meant to be funny, and their earnest expressions kinda crack me up . . . but I can't help but wonder if Matt is being forced into that Spandex against his will. What do you think?

Wondering what to dress your little darlings in for all of those family shindigs this holiday season? Cookie Magazine shared some fab ideas with Al Roker on the Today Show. Here's a quick rundown on the apparel pointers.

Tartan (a type of plaid) is a classic look that never gets old.
Navy and forest green corduroy or velvet pieces for the ladies and a tan suit for the young gents will have everyone looking winter fabulous.
If you have your own childhood vintage pieces, here's a chance to use them. Pair a funky print skirt with a fun top for her and an argyle sweater vest with cords for him.
Channel Leni Klum and let your baby girl don a flowy skirt, hip tights, and metallic shoes for a Boho look. And for the Boho boy, let him wear his favorite jeans with a tweed jacket and a colorful tee.
For the soiree where jeans and tees won't do, dress your dolls up in satin dresses and black tuxedos.

Fried Foods Aren't the Only Thing to Blame For Type 2 Diabetes

I keep a stash of Paula Deen's recipes on hand for when I am in the mood for some Southern fare, but I couldn't eat such a decadent diet all the time. And Paula agrees. She told Al Roker on Today,

"I have always encouraged moderation. I share with you all these yummy, fattening recipes, but I tell people, in moderation . . . it's entertainment. People have to be responsible. Like I told Oprah, 'Honey, I'm your cook, not your doctor.' You have to be responsible for yourself."

Although it's easy to assume a high-fat, high-calorie, butter-laden diet is to blame, the truth is, experts aren't exactly sure what causes type 2 diabetes. Age, weight, and activity level are huge factors in a person's risk, but the most important factor is genetics.

The good news is that prevention is in your hands. While foods deep-fried in oil and coated in butter may not specifically cause diabetes, devouring foods like that often can contribute to weight gain, which increases your risk for developing this condition. The best thing you can do is to maintain a healthy weight and to exercise regularly, especially if diabetes runs in your family.

Caroline and Max manage to plan for their future while hustling for their present - and survive on a shoestring with admirable grace.
