A handful of starlets hit the red carpet last night to celebrate the grand opening of America Eagle's new flagship store in NYC. The Gossip Girl crowd was well-represented, with Leighton Meester cozying up to Michelle Trachtenberg and Jessica Szohr. Adrian Grenier, Pete Wentz, and Ashlee Simpson were also out to browse the offerings at the new space in Times Square.

Leighton Meester joined Chace Crawford, Blake Lively and Ed Westwick yesterday on the NYC set of Gossip Girl. Unlike her edgier performance look at Tuesday's American Eagle party, Leighton kept things prim and proper as she got into character as Blair Waldorf. You guys aren't quite sure what to make of Leighton's tendencies to strip down when she goes into musical mode, but she's not the only Upper East Sider who likes to show a bit of skin.

Jay-Z might have been flashing two fingers as he passed the photographers on his way to TRL on Monday, but as of yesterday he's #1. As projected last week, his album inspired by American Gangster took the No.1 spot on the Billboard charts last week, knocking the Eagles down a notch while Britney's Blackout dropped to a disappointing No. 7.

Jay-Z looked like he was in a great mood stopping by BET's 106 & Park on Thursday afternoon to talk about his new release American Gangster. I'm not usually a fan of the sunglasses inside look, but Jay can do whatever he wants. The album is poised to debut at number one this week, though he should watch out for those wiley Eagles who have a tendency to sneak up on the No 1 spot.

The always-adorable Milo Ventimiglia brought out some of his favorite Heroes to celebrate his directorial debut, It's A Mall World -- a 13-episode short comedy series for American Eagle Outfitters. The episodes will air on MTV during The Real World: Sydney which starts August 8. Hayden looked great out to support her good friend and costar, but I gotta say that Stephen is dressed a little silly.
