Brad and Angelina Join Fellow Nominees at the BAFTAs
On Sunday many familiar faces from this award season went to London to walk the red carpet in the rain at the BAFTAs. Angelina Jolie mixed it up with a splash of yellow while Brad Pitt wore a classic tux. Kate Winslet took home the Leading Actress trophy for The Reader while Penelope Cruz finally won Best Supporting Actress.
British (and Not) Beauties Brighten Up the BAFTAs
Award season rolls on both in the states and overseas with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards in London last night. Black, black, black ruled the red carpet from Thandie Newton to Sienna Miller in a racy see-through number and Jessica Biel whose blonde hair is thankfully looking better. Sugar Bits — Sandra Bullock and Husband Hit by Drunk Driver
- A car carrying Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James was involved in a head-on collision with a drunken driver on Friday night in Gloucester, Mass., where Sandra has been filming The Proposal. Fortunately, no one was injured. — AP
- Justin Timberlake and John Mayer were among those who were there to help support Cameron Diaz at a memorial service for her late father on Sunday in Seal Beach, CA.
Emily and Dev Bring Their Britannia to LA For Freida and Amy
Stars from the UK and beyond hit the red carpet in LA last night for the annual British Academy of Film and Television Arts Britannia Awards. Emily Blunt represented her homeland as she was named Artist of the Year. Her fiance John Krasinski is usually by her side, but he was in NYC getting ready for his appearance on The View this morning where he talked about the proposal.

Penelope Cruz Keeps Bringing Barcelona Around England
After getting dressed up on Wednesday, Penelope Cruz looked casual heading to another screening of Vicky Cristina Barcelona last night. This time she was at the BAFTA headquarters in London, and promoting the film must be even sweeter now that she's picked up a SAG nomination for her performance. Penelope never has a problem wowing us, but we're even more interested in whether we'll see her with Javier again to put the rumors to rest and keep this sexy couple going strong in 2009.
The "Berry" BAFTA/LA Cunard Brittania Awards
The BAFTA/LA Cunard awards are quite popular with the ladies. Halle stood out in her hot pink dress while Rachel Weisz, Kate Walsh and Robin Wright Penn also got all dolled up for the big event last night in L.A. The big winner of the evening was Clint Eastwood who took home BAFTA's Stanley Kubrick Brittania Award for Excellence in Film.
George Clooney Still Nabbing Noms For Michael Clayton
George Clooney was all smiles today in NYC after he picked up the best actor statue at last night's National Board of Review Annual Awards. Lucky George has another reason to be happy, as his Michael Clayton grabbed five nods for the 2008 BAFTA Awards including Clooney himself for best actor.
