Jay-Z Pays Respects to Kanye's Mom
Last night's Jay-Z concert at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC ended on a more somber note when he asked the audience to observe a moment of silence in honor of Donda West, Kanye's mother who passed away suddenly over the weekend. Right before performing his final song, "Roc Boys" Jay-Z said to the crowd, "Let's get serious for a minute...This show is dedicated to Kanye West who had a death in the family....We got you, Kanye. Stay strong."
Lindsay, Taylor and Jessica Spread Their Fashion Love
Jessica Alba, Taylor Momsen and Lindsay Lohan made up the starlet contingent out at Fashion Week events in NYC last night. Jessica shined in her sexy black dress at the Narciso Rodriguez show in Bryant Park while Lindsay and Taylor were matching blondes in the front row at G-Star's Hammerstein Ballroom presentation. Taylor's edgy look works well when she's rocking out on stage with her band, but on Gossip Girl Jenny Humphrey's already over her first rebellious phase.
Black and White and Chanel All Over in NYC
Black and White dominated the red carpet in a major way at Chanel's Nuit de Diamants at The Plaza in NYC last night. Ed Burns and Christy Turlington I think have to win cutest couple, but Ellen and Chris were living up the glam as well. I don't want to say anything, but Gossip boy Penn Badgley looks like he may have tossed back a few before the party.
Come Inside the Governors Ball
After the big show in the Kodak Theater, the first stop for many of the attendees was the Governors Ball. Along with attending this year's Oscars via the red carpet and the press room, we were fortunate enough to have a ticket to the fancy affair. While on the inside we watched the celebrities feast on their Wolfgang Puck meal set in the Asian-themed room decor.
Marcia is Married!
I had a feeling this classy girl would get married in style. Marcia got married tonight in a traditional wedding at a church with a celebration following at the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena. Hopefully we'll get some lovely pictures soon.
Justin Timberlake Gets His Jeans Runway Ready
We've seen so many smiles on Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel lately, and they kept it up grabbing lunch at Little Door and stopping by Soli for some home shopping yesterday. Justin's been busy working on his fashion recently, including two events for upcoming NY Fashion Week. In addition to his appearance at Fashion Rocks, the singer will be performing during the William Rast runway show on Sept.

Madonna's Ready to Release Her Candy, Officially Gain a Son
After a long week of trips to the gym with Gwyneth, Madonna took her three kids — Lourdes, Rocco and little David — out to dinner at San Lorenzo in London last night. It comes along with news that the final hearing before Madonna gets to formally adopt David has been postponed another month until mid May. After all the waiting, another month can't feel like too much and it's not like Madonna won't be busy busy busy before then — Hard Candy drops in less than two weeks on April 29!
Missy, Snoop & Tribe Enjoy VH1 Hip Hop Honors
NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom was brimming with celebrities last night for VH1's 2007 Hip Hop Honors. Tracy Morgan (who was so the highlight of last night's 30 Rock — "You can be a freaky deaky and do data entry.") hosted the event, which probably is a good reason for it not to air live. He's a tad unpredictable.
Celebrities Kick Off NY Fashion Week!
NY Fashion Week officially kicked off last night with the "Une Journe A Paris" party hosted by Van Cleef & Arpels at Hammerstein Ballroom. The party had a Paris theme, complete with French band The Plasticines and cabaret dancers. This is just the first of many NY Fashion Week events -- and our girls are there for all the action!
