Ben Affleck spent his second day at the DNC helping pack boxes of food for the needy, and last night Jennifer Garner arrived to watch the speeches, including Obama's surprise appearance. Ben is probably doing a lot of schmoozing, though it sounds like one convention attendee he isn't jumping to call is his ex Jennifer Lopez. Ben was eager, however, to chat about Matt Damon's new baby girl.

The Democratic National Convention rolled on last night with another rousing series of speeches, including from Hilary Clinton, and more stars arriving in Denver. Charlize Theron, a new US citizen and voter, was out with Stuart at a screening of their movie Battle in Seattle. Meanwhile, Eva stopped off to check in with the MySpace computer station.

Violet Affleck was animated as usual as Jennifer Garner picked her up from school before heading to the voting booth in LA yesterday. We're sure Ben had plenty to talk about with his girls as well — though the sticker he proudly showed off really says it all. Ben and Jen were just two of the many celebrities who set a good example by hitting the voting booths yesterday, and after all their hard work for the Obama campaign, the whole family must be celebrating the Democratic victory today.

After getting dressed up as Ted and Fred for Halloween, Jen and Violet were spotted around town at the Children's Museum on Saturday and a bookstore with Ben on Sunday. The family headed east so Ben could host Saturday Night Live this weekend. Jen watched on and then the couple the celebrated with the cast at an after party.

Invesco Field at Mile High was full of excited supporters out to watch Barack Obama's historic speech last night at the finale of the DNC in Denver. As expected, some big names took the stage and their seats as the Democratic presidential candidate accepted the party's nomination and gave his speech — Citizen was there, check out her thoughts on the scene! Obama wasn't the only rock star in the house as John Legend and Sheryl Crow both performed, as did Jennifer Hudson who sang the national anthem.

After a weekend that involved some birthday celebrating, Ben Affleck was ready to face the world with a new age and some new facial scruff to go with it. He grabbed some breakfast with friends at Shutters Hotel in LA, and we have to say that the rugged look is working well for him. Of course, he'll have to clean up before his big trip to the Democratic National Convention next week, since he'll probably want his serious face on for political matters, but once he gets down to business moving into that big fancy new house, casual Ben could make another appearance.

Oprah Winfrey hit the Barack Obama campaign trail this weekend, starting in Des Moines on Saturday before hitting South Carolina and New Hampshire on Sunday. In Iowa she spoke to 10,000 and by the time she got to SC there were 30,000 out to watch the media mogul support the presidential candidate. Even Oprah herself admitted to being nervous up there, but quickly gained momentum during her 17 minute speech where she was anything but shy about her support of and admiration for Barack.
