Tom Works Night and Day While Suri Shops With Katie
Katie Holmes left Long Island, where she had been working on The Romantics and headed into NYC for a weekend with Suri. The girls were out to see The Lion King on Friday night, with little Suri looking sleepy as they left the theater together. Saturday they bundled up in coats for a few long walks with Katie's mom, and Suri showed off her red dress from the children's Holmes and Yang and green backpack.
Sandra and Bradley Are Together and All About Steve
Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper hit the red carpet together for their All About Steve premiere in LA last night. In the movie, Sandra's character is known for her bright red boots but last night it was all about the on trend booties to go with her colorful dress. Bradley Cooper's coming to the end of a whirlwind Summer of romance and hit movies, but he was still rolling solo despite his rumored relationship with Renee Zellweger.
LL's Photographed All Weekend, but Tapes Are the Trouble
Lindsay Lohan was in a flannel Saturday as she stepped out to shop at LA's Church boutique with a friend. The girls spent a few hours inside the shop, emerging in new outfits after tweeting a thanks. LL was then off for a night on the town, and she wound up at Leonardo DiCaprio's place for an afterparty.
Sugar Bits — Tom and Gisele are Engaged!
- After a false start over Christmas, Tom Brady apparently proposed to Gisele Bundchen in LA over the weekend and she accepted. Congratulations to the happy couple! — People
- Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino debuted at the top spot in the box office this weekend earning $29 million for his "best nationwide opening of all time."
SJP and Ellen Page Are Bright Ladies at Smart People
Surprisingly, Ellen Page was the girly looking one at last night's NYC premiere of Smart People. Sarah Jessica Parker, on the other hand, went a little more rock star with her leggings, leopard print and hot pink. The cute little ladies' costars Dennis Quaid and Thomas Hayden Church were both on hand for the event.
SJP and Matthew Have Lots To Celebrate at Sundance
It was back to back nights of Sundance premieres for the Sarah Jessica Parker/Matthew Broderick power couple with Sunday bringing out her Smart People and Sunday featuring his Diminished Capacity. Both actors were happy to accompany their other halves to the big premieres — awwww. While I've heard good things about SJP's project with Dennis Quaid and Thomas Haden Church, I was actually there to see Matthew's movie last night.
Spider-Man 3 World Tour
The cast of Spider-Man 3 are making their way around the globe. They were in Japan last week for the Tokyo premiere and after this London show they're off to Italy for the third of nine premieres! Hopefully they love watching the film!On A Day of Highs and Lows, Sundances On
While the afternoon took a noticeably somber turn as the news of Heath Ledger's tragic death spread over snowy Park City, the morning was for celebrating as Oscar nomination news came to Sundance. While a lot of the celebrities left with the end of MLK day weekend, there was still swag to be scored for some of them. I was lucky enough to stop by the Pure & Natural Celebrity Eco-Retreat and Iconix "Gift Giving For A Cause" Suite benefiting Save the Children to see all the goodies the celebrities have been snatching up as souvenirs.
Sugar Bits - Babies, Babies Everywhere!
- Salma Hayek wasn't the only star to welcome a new baby this weekend. E's Samantha Harris had a baby girl, Noel Gallagher and his wife welcomed a baby boy and Charlotte Church also welcomed her daughter Ruby Megan. Congrats to all the happy families!
- Rosie O'Donnell has canceled the 2-part interview she had scheduled with Diane Sawyer to discuss her new book, Celebrity Detox.
