Kristen and Dakota Celebrate at SXSW in Their Casual Way

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning joined The Runaways director Floria Sigismondi for last night's premiere during the SXSW Film Festival, but Cherie Currie completed their trio at the afterparty. It's been a long few weeks for the girls after promotional stops across their country, but they'll get some rest - and Kristen can finally enjoy a vacation - once the film hits theaters today. Kristen made sure to change out of her red carpet outfit into her favorite jeans and t-shirt, while Dakota stuck with what's becoming her usual in a blazer and skinny pants.

Kristen and Dakota Get Away With The Runaways to SXSW

Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart joined The Runaways director Floria Sigismondi last night for a screening in Austin as a part of the SXSW Film Festival. Dakota and Kristen have been all over the country promoting their film with a premiere in LA last week before Wednesday night's big NYC event with Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, where both of the young stars opened up to us about their work on the movie. Their tour will come to a close with the project's opening today, and we'll see if Kristen and Dakota fare better at the box office than Robert Pattinson's recent non-Twilight effort - check out what Buzz thinks of Dakota and Kristen's turns as teenage rock stars.

David's Road to Recovery Starts With Posh by His Side

Victoria Beckham helped David out of their car yesterday evening as they got ready to fly out of Finland. David arrived in the country for a special team of surgeons to operate on the Achilles tendon he tore during a game with AC Milan on Sunday. David took to his website again to update his fans, writing that, "The operation was a success and I'd like to thank Dr. Orava and all the medical staff who looked after me during my time in Finland. I'm feeling positive and now concentrating on getting back to full fitness over the coming months."

Carrie and Kenny Shine at the Country Music Awards

We already checked out all the red carpet looks and now it's time to get down to the show at last night's Country Music Awards in Nashville. The big winners of the night were Carrie Underwood, who won Female Vocalist of the Year for the second year in a row and Single of the Year for "Before He Cheats," and for the guys Kenny Chesney who won Entertainer of the Year, and Brad Paisley, Male Vocalist of the Year. Check out the full list of winners here. An unexpected highlight for me was Kellie Pickler who got pretty emotional during her song, and on a random note Jamie Foxx's appearance. Meanwhile, I was expecting a whole lot of Jessica Simpson all over the CMAs and she was apparently in the auditorium, but kept herself out of the spotlight - she's more serious about country music than another photo op. Ha. Did any of you watch the show? Favorite moments? Shockers?

No Country for Old Men Is a Red Carpet for Hot Men

It was all about the guys at last night's LA premiere of No Country for Old Men. Thandie stood out in her colorblock dress in the midst of cuties like Casey Affleck and Olivier Martinez. Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem star in the film, which is the Coen Brothers first Western. Javier recently talked to Parade about his reservations about using a gun on-screen, saying,

"I've done only two movies, where I hold a gun. Once I did it in '96. It was an experience. I hate it. It's not that I hate the movie. I think the movie is fun. It was called Perdita Durango. Here it was translated as Dance With the Devil. It was very violent. I had good fun with the director, but I hate the experience of killing people. Eleven years after, I do a movie with the Coens (No Country for Old Men) where I am a killer. It took me a little while to say yes to this even though the Coens are my favorite directors."

It's pretty sweet to hear about an actor who doesn't care for playing with guns and being the bad boy. We bet his girl Penelope Cruz appreciates his soft side even more than we do.

A Little Bit Country a Lot Glam on the CMA Red Carpet

It was jeans for some (Kid Rock, of course) and gowns for others at last night's 41st Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. Nicole Kidman definitely brought the most bang to the red carpet in her bold dress - sure it looks a little like one of those cheesy college dorm felt-y posters, but it's not like she can't pull it off. Carrie Underwood looked typically great while fellow former Idol-er Kellie Picker looked surprisingly demure for her. I must admit that Kate Walsh looked pretty smokin', finding a way to be on our ABC Wednesday night even when Private Practice was preempted for these awards. Angelina Heads Out With Four Kids as Her Afghanistan School For Girls Opens

Angelina Jolie spent her morning shooting The Tourist with Johnny Depp, but in the afternoon she met up off set with Shiloh, Maddox, Pax and Zahara. Angelina didn't bring her other mini me Vivienne out this time, but the twins have gotten their share of Venice adventure as well. While Angelina is stepping out in her chic black boots with girly Z, big brothers Pax and Maddox and tomboy Shi, the activist actress is also keeping up her philanthropy work. A school for girls she funded in Afghanistan opened last week, only a year and a half after her visit to the country as part of her work with the UN inspired her to donate.

Tina Fey and Michael Sheen Keep 30 Rocking Out Together

Tina Fey chatted away on her cell phone Friday while filming 30 Rock in NYC. Joining Tina was her new costar Michael Sheen, whose first episode on the series debuted on Thursday night. His character emerges as a possible romantic interest for Tina's serially unlucky-in-love character Liz Lemon, but we'll have to wait and see how far his plot line progresses. Tina's hard at work on her small screen project, but it's been a whirlwind few weeks for the Vogue cover girl. She's jet-setted across the country throughout award season, including for the Oscars, as she gets ready for Date Night to hit theaters soon on April 9.
