Katie Holmes flashed a big smile while filming Don't Be Afraid of the Dark with Guy Pearce and a young costar in Melbourne yesterday. Despite rumors that one of Katie's next projects would be the Sex and the City sequel, her rep was quick to shoot down the possibility. You guys have mixed feelings about seeing Katie's BFF Posh take a role, but it seems like Carrie Bradshaw's return to the big screen will involve celeb cameos in one way or another.

Katie and Suri Always Brighten a Rainy Day

Katie Holmes headed to work on Don't Be Afraid of the Dark in Melbourne earlier today, and Suri wasn't about to let the inclement weather stop her from visiting the set. She left her boots at home this time, but was still ready for the rainy day in her stylish red trench coat. It's hard to believe it's been almost two years since Suri was enjoying the sights in Germany while her dad was working, and hopefully when she gets older she'll remember all the fun she had as a mini world traveler.

Katie Holmes and Suri squeezed some play time into another work day on the set of Don't Be Afraid of the Dark in Australia. Suri looked like she was loving the great outdoors, running around in her cute pink boots. Katie had a scare earlier this week when a car caught fire on the set, but she looks as relaxed as ever chasing her little girl around outside on a Winter day.

Her appearance on So You Think You Can Dance airs tonight back home in the US, though you guys seem split about tuning in to see those Judy Garland moves. She's currently balancing the demands of filming and keeping an eye on Suri, as Tom is off enjoying a cruise with the Australian billionaire James Packer. Tom's got plenty of high-profile pals, but it's his friendship with David Beckham that is about to be explored in a new book. David apparently admits that he and Victoria were inspired to name their third son after meeting Tom, which is a sweet homage to both him and Katie.

Katie's Not Afraid of Being in Australia Without Tom

Katie stayed busy in his absence with a morning of work before taking Suri for a swim and dropping $800 at Target. The girls picked up toys and household items as they turn Australia into their home for the next few months.

Will The Dark Knight Sweep the Awards It's Nominated For?

Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart proudly showed off their trophies after The Dark Knight took home five out of five People's Choice Awards last night, including Best Movie of the Year. The film will be up for more honors tonight at the Critics' Choice Awards and again on Sunday at the Golden Globes. We'll have to wait a few more weeks to hear about Oscar nods, but tell us - do you think The Dark Knight will sweep the awards it's nominated for?

The Dark Knight Brings Gotham to London

After spending the weekend with their adorable little girl, leading man Christian Bale had his gorgeous wife on his arm at the London premiere of The Dark Knight. Gorgeous Maggie sexed it up in her revealing jumpsuit but maintained the all black dress code, as did Kelly Osbourne who still showed off some leg. After the amazing record-breaking opening weekend success the movie enjoyed in the states this weekend, we'll have to see how its magic translates overseas. From the looks of it though, The Dark Knight's reign has just begun.

The Dark Knight Falls on NYC

The long anticipated premiere of The Dark Knight finally arrived last night, and the stars dressed accordingly to the movie's title. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, and Lauren Conrad all looked gorgeous in muted tones, while Christian Bale continued to prove that he looks hot in any color. Of course, there was one very important star missing but Heath Ledger's family and friends like Naomi Watts were there in his place, while his castmates had plenty to say in tribute to the late actor. Christian said,

"Working with Heath was fantastic. He steals the movie and I'm quite happy to say that. He's a hell of a talent and created a joker that's very iconic and one that will become a classic portrayal of the ages."

While the film's premiere was a bittersweet event, the rave reviews will hopefully make The Dark Knight the box office smash hit that will help honor Heath's memory forever.
