The Grammys Parties Kept Going Strong Last Night
After a long night of fun-filled performances and red carpet madness, the Grammy attendees headed out in LA to hit up the after party circuit. House Of Hype Island Def Jam threw a bash that drew out Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish as well as Kanye who also made an appearance at Jay-Z's party at Katsuya. Gwyneth Paltrow also headed to the restaurant to see her friend Jay-Z who had an awesome on stage collaboration with Chris Martin.
Clive Davis Gets the Pre-Party Started With Grammy Favorites
Before the Grammys took over last night, the stars got a chance to get warmed up at Clive Davis's annual pre-party on Saturday night. Whitney Houston gave her all up on stage, along with Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis. Chris and Rihanna looked lovey dovey and happy, just a few hours before his shocking alleged assault.

George Clooney was the last man standing from the Leatherheads cast, with neither Renee Zellweger nor John Krasinski showing their faces at a screening of the film in NYC last night. He did have the support of Bruce Willis, his close friend Ellen Barkin, and Julianna Margulies — which is a fun little treat for fans of old-school ER. Cohosts Audrina Patridge and Pete Wentz walked the red carpet at the MTV Australia Awards today though it was Ashlee Simpson wanted to steal the show. Despite Audrina's hot costume changes, Ashlee got the biggest response when she opened up the night with an extended kiss for Pete before making a joke about not seeing each other for a while and finding a place to go "fornicate". Otherwise, it was the Pete Wentz show as he took the stage to host, perform, and even crowd surf.

The Grammys may seem like one of the longest shows of Award Season, but last night they mixed it up with some exciting performances. The show kicked off with U2 starring Bono, but the absence of Chris Brown and Rihanna was quickly felt. Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Keith Urban and Boyz II Men all stepped in to form a hodge podge second performance of the night while the young couple dealt with assault allegations and drama.

Despite rumors that Graydon Carter was scaling things back for this year's Vanity Fair Oscars party, the soiree was as A-List as ever at its new venue the Sunset Towers. Jennifer Aniston could relax after her presenting duties, and when she and John Mayer hit the party, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. The couple cuddled up every chance they got, and he twittered a sweet message about her.
Gwyneth Supports Chris on His 2-in-1 Night
Chris Martin and Coldplay were on double duty last night, kicking the evening off with a performance at the 2009 Brit Awards before heading over to the 15th anniversary concert for the charity War Child. He and his band went home empty-handed from the Brits, where Duffy cleaned up with three awards, but both he and Gwyneth seemed to be in high spirits after show number two. As usual, Gwyneth and Chris left the event separately — while they may never pose together, their happy faces can help quiet any lingering rumors of trouble.
Anything Goes For the Ladies on the Grammys Red Carpet
The ladies mixed things up last night on the Grammys red carpet. It's one of the less formal nights of award season, and most women dressed accordingly. Paris Hilton and Marisa Miller kept things short and sweet in their minis, while Jennifer Hudson went a little longer and Kate Beckinsale and Audrina Patridge opted to go with floor length gowns.
