Shia Returns to the Red Carpet to Show Off His Eagle Eye

A dapper Shia LaBeouf kept his injured hand in his pocket leading the way at the premiere of Eagle Eye in LA last night. You all aren't huge fans of Megan Fox, but the sexy siren held her Transformers costar's hand as they walked down the red carpet. Shia's costars in the movie at hand last night, Michelle Monaghan and Billy Bob Thornton, looked beautiful and creepy respectively. It's good to see Shia out smiling again and hear him back on the interview circuit not shying away from talking about his crash and how lucky he is. The thriller hits theaters next week so we'll see whether viewers are ready to welcome him back as a leading man after his dramatic Summer.

The Softer Side of Shia

Shia LaBeouf looked cute and clean-cut back on the set of Eagle Eye for some reshoots in LA on Monday, but it wasn't until after filming that he melted our hearts. At the end of the day, Shia gave a very special treat - a big hug - to a young fan that was waiting outside his trailer. While Shia seems to be working overtime lately to maintain his new superstar status, it makes us happy to see that all his fame hasn't gone straight to his head.

Shia Points Us in the Right Direction

Shia LaBeouf got to play stuntman on the set of Eagle Eye in DC last night. After Indiana Jones and Transformers, he probably was able to jump into oncoming traffic like a pro, but we still prefer to see him safely on the ground. Or even better, on the red carpet. We're sure that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will have tons of promo events and premieres, but Cannes Film Festival will probably be a big milestone for Shia - and we can't wait to see him living it up overseas.

Shia Gets Serious, Smokey and Smiley

Shia LaBeouf showed off his skills as an action star on the set of Eagle Eye in LA on Saturday. He looks so serious peeking out of the back of that ambulance, but clearly he was simply in character since shortly after he was showing off his big grin. The smoking star (boo) has a lot to smile about these days, especially since he just scored another VF cover. He even shared a laugh with his beautiful co-star Michelle Monaghan. Looks like Shia still has a way with the ladies, so maybe our prediction for him to score a celebrity girlfriend in 2008 will come true!

Shia LaBeouf Gets More Recognition for His Big Year

Shia was looking a little beat up on the set of Eagle Eye in LA yesterday. As 2007 comes to an end, we're realizing how far this young actor has come - in January he was best known for Even Stevens and before we knew it he was starring in the surprise hit, Disturbia, and then one of the biggest summer blockbusters, Transformers. Of course, we aren't the only ones to take notice, he was even on EW's Top 25 Entertainers of the Year as one of the prodigies. In the magazine he said:

The best part about being so successful at such a young age is: "I get to meet my heroes. To be in that Indiana Jones clique is insane. These are my superheroes. These are my Batmans, my Robins. And I get to eat lunch with them."
The biggest challenge: "All of a sudden, everyone wants to be your pal. I think the hardest thing is deciphering reality from the success, and knowing when to shut down the success of your occupation to be able to enjoy the mundane, everyday life s***. And you get tired of talking about the same things. I'm tired of talking about myself."
Favorite career moment of the year: "I think my favorite moment was when Harrison flew in and jumped out of his helicopter to come to rehearsal with his whip in his hand. He wasn't in Indiana Jones gear. It was just Harrison Ford with his whip, walking to rehearsal."

Back in April, you all voted him as the biggest star of tomorrow, and it looks like it's already coming through. I especially love how humble he still is about landing his dream part alongside Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones. We can't wait to see if he can keep up his hot streak and stay out of trouble in 2008 speaking of which, he is due in court today.

Sober Shia Flashes a Smile

A suited up Shia LaBeouf flashed a big grin while taking a break from filming Eagle Eye in LA yesterday. We'd give him some credit for keeping it healthy with a banana, but all those cigarettes are ruining his good example. Plus, we have a hard time looking at him with a straight face since his late night arrest in a Chicago Walgreens a few weeks ago. Hopefully he's been behaving himself since then - we'd hate to hear that he was drunkenly loitering around a Rite Aid or a CVS. Though we wouldn't mind seeing another cute smiley Shia mugshot.
