American Idol Brings Back the Rat Pack
You can tell it's getting down to the wire on American Idol when every single performance is not just good but potential-winner good. Despite Jamie Foxx's sometimes annoying ego, he proved to be a pretty helpful mentor last night and had constructive words for the five finalists. The theme of the night was "Rat Pack," so all the contestants got to bring a little swagger to the stage.
The Damon and Affleck Baby Bumps Support Obama
Jen and Ben headed south to Miami to join the Damons to speak at a fundraiser for Obama on Saturday night. The BFF foursome kept things simple in black and white but there was no hiding those glowing grins and growing bellies. People reports that Jennifer gave a "witty, clever and funny" speech followed by Ben and Matt's more serious ones.
Anne Hathaway Gets Smart, Dumps Boyfriend
Anne Hathaway was all smiles last night with co-star Steve Carell at the LA premiere of Get Smart, but note that one accessory was missing — her boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri. The Daily Mail is reporting that Anne dumped him this weekend because she didn't want his legal troubles to damage her reputation and career. We have a feeling Anne will be better off without Raffaello's sketchy problems, and having funny man Steve Carell as her co-star and new friend is sure to keep her cheered up.
Don't Be Sad, Jessica! T.O. Was Just Joking
Jessica Simpson looked a little bit grumpy yesterday out Christmas shopping with her parents in Dallas, her home away from home since she started dating the city's quarterback, golden-boy Tony Romo. Unfortunately, as usual Jessica is an easy target and getting more than her fair share of flack from the Cowboys fans (you think Gisele gets this when Tom Brady has a not-so-great game?). At least on a brighter note loudmouth Terrell Owens, who was pretty nasty about Jess yesterday, made sure to tell the press this morning that it was all in good fun.
Penelope Continues to Laugh off Rumors
Penelope continues to joke about the rumors that her and Salma Hayek are lovers. Letterman sat her down last night and brought up the subject in a round about way. Penelope was talking about her love of photography which prompted David to show the audience a few pics that Penelope had taken of Salma for Interview magazine.
Paris Fights off Attention
Poor Paris. She is having a major problem fighting off guys who are competing for her affection. The song Fighting Over Me on her new album addresses this problem, but critics are not impressed.
Nick's Love Life is Really Important
US Weekly decided to forget about Melgate and all the crazy LL stories this week to bring us a very important cover story about Nick and his new lady. A little weird right? Anyway, it's pretty funny to see this cover and the reasons Nick prefers Vanessa considering the last post I just wrote about Chestica.
Britney Goes Baby Shopping - AND SHE'S PREGNANT
UPDATE - It's official - People reports: "Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline are expecting their second child together, Spears told David Letterman during a surprise visit to his show on Tuesday." See we knew it :) Britney is still in NYC and today she took cute little Sean Preston out for some shopping. We were trying to see if the pictures might have revealed some pink clothes since she is supposedly pregnant again but this time with a girl but no sign of pink anywhere.Britney Gets Goofy
Any Britney fan would know she has a thing for Brad Pitt. She mentioned it on her show Chaotic and now these goofy pics of Britney drooling over Brad have made there way online for our enjoyment. These must have been taken in Hawaii possibly on this day.Oscar Roundup
Kudos to Jon Stewart for a job well done even though he is already getting criticized as a host. They say the big stars just don't get him. Critics can be so harsh.
