Katie Arrives to Be Tom's Golden Prize For the Night

If Katie Holmes was exhausted last night, she certainly didn't show it in her face arriving in LA to meet up with Tom Cruise for the Golden Globe afterparty. Last night was Katie's final performance on Broadway, and right after she hopped across the country - slipping into a hot gold dress in the meantime and keeping a smile on her face. That's dedication (are you listening Piven?). Tom didn't win last night but he did look great on the red carpet, and we have a feeling that everyone in that room was rooting for Heath Ledger to take home the Best Supporting Actor award. Tom's role in Tropic Thunder isn't on anyone's short list for an Oscar nod, so he and Katie took advantage of the Golden Globe fun.

There are just a few hours left before The Big Press Conference announcing the winners of this year's Golden Globes. We're not exactly sure what to expect tonight, but we will be covering the excitement and will be here for you so you can dish on the winners, give your reactions and, if we are lucky, have some sort of parties, fashion and beauty looks too, so stay tuned.

This also means you still have a little bit of time to submit your predictions for the winners with Buzz's online Golden Globes ballot. Once all your predictions are entered, you're qualified to win a full year of entertainment! Better do it now, though - the ballot closes at noon PST today.

The Parties Don't Stop For the Golden Globes Crew

The InStyle bash wasn't the only place where the stars were celebrating after the Golden Globes. Big winners Tina Fey and Colin Farrell showed off their statues at the NBC party alongside happy new parents Amy Poehler and Will Arnett. Over at the Showtime event, Dexter costars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter posed for the first time as a married couple. Meanwhile, David Duchovny made sure to mention his "wife" multiple times last night perhaps to squash any lingering, rocky marriage rumors. Since Téa was nowhere in sight, David chatted with his Californication costar, Evan Handler. Adrian Grenier and Mark Wahlberg were living it up at the HBO affair with the cast of Entourage and a camera of their own. Bella beauty, Kate Winslet finished off her magical night by making the rounds with her husband Sam Mendes, looking happy as could be with her arms full of awards.

Celebs Party In Style After the Golden Globes

After the trophies were handed out last night, the fun was just getting started at the Beverly Hilton. In Style and Warner Bros threw a bash that brought out big names from the night and a bunch of other stars that skipped the awards portion of the evening. Never one to miss a party in one of her family's hotels, Paris Hilton got a chance to show off her style, while Elizabeth Banks met up with her former costar Sarah Chalke. Gal pals Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, and Kate Beckinsale caught up and shared a laugh while Emile Hirsch took the opportunity to show off his mustache to Molly Sims. Blake Lively had her fellow Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen in the house, and Leo looked happy to unwind with a drink after the long ceremony with Alan Horn, the President & COO of Warner Bros. Kate and the Golden Winners Celebrate in the Press Room

Kate Winslet got a kiss from her husband and director Sam Mendes as she celebrated her Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards at the Golden Globes. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin goofed around with their 30 Rock costars though it was Tracy Morgan who stole the show with his acceptance speech. The Mad Men cast all stood together and many other stars that won, as well as presenters, posed and looked gorgeous in the happy press room.

The night's biggest winner was Slumdog Millionaire, which the cast, producer, director and writers humbly accepted. Lots of other celebrities took home the gold - check out the full list of winners here. Steven Spielberg was honored with the impressive Cecile B. DeMille award, where he talked about the value of having a mentor in the industry. Anyone who has Spielberg as a mentor is one lucky aspiring director and last night he joined the elite ranks of previous winners.

The Ladies Go For the Gold on the Globes Red Carpet

Many of our favorite stars walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes last night and it appears as if nude-colored numbers were the new black. Angelina Jolie took a break from posing with Brad to show off her sparkly Versace gown, while J Lo showed some serious skin in her gold Marchesa. Salma Hayek was showing off those assets in one of the night's many Dior numbers. Penelope, Isla and Beyonce all glowed in their gowns as well.

Cameron Diaz and Slumdog Millionaire's Freida Pinto added some pizzazz to the evening with their bright hues. Anne Hathaway and Drew Barrymore both opted for different beautiful shades of blue. Kate Winslet looked classic in black while Heidi Klum went with something, umm,... modern, with her big waist detail.
