Demi and Ashton Step Out For GQ's Gentleman's Ball

The guys were dressed to the nines for last night's GQ Gentlemen's Ball in NYC last night. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher smiled together and locked eyes on the red carpet as the cameras snapped away while inside the party Mark Wahlberg put his arm around Akon. Other big name attendees included Adrian Grenier and Emmy Rossum, who was rolling without her boyfriend Adam Duritz. Both Ashton and Demi will be back in the city in a little over a week since they're supposedly set to participate in the annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway along with Jennifer Aniston, Liev Schreiber and more.

Taylor Lautner Is All Abs in GQ

We already got a peek at January Jones in November's GQ, but she isn't the only one looking hot in the issue - Taylor Lautner's also steaming things up with his latest shirtless shoot. There should be ample opportunity to enjoy the sight of Taylor's six pack in New Moon, at least judging by the film's early trailers. It sounds like muscles won't be the only thing Taylor shows in the upcoming movie, as he opened up to the magazine about his character Jacob's turning from boy to animal. He said, "When a man transforms into a wolf, all of his clothes get shredded. When he comes back to human form, he's wearing ripped jeans, and that's about it." January Skips the Bra, Drinks a Few Beers For GQ

January Jones let down her hair during an incredibly sultry shoot for November's cover of GQ. In the interview she loses her Betty Draper veneer from Mad Men and opens up about her career so far and even an old boyfriend, speculated to be ex Ashton Kutcher, who was less than supportive of her acting career. She conducted the interview over a few drinks and talked about getting in trouble for chewing tobacco and playing quarters on a plane, her high school drinking records, beer pong abilities, and how she navigated Hollywood. January is refreshingly real and a little brazen, but perhaps the biggest testament to her acting is how she's very much not just her onscreen counterpart. Here are highlights:

On her ex boyfriend: "The guy I was dating when I first got to LA was not supportive of my acting. He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this. So - f*ck you! He only has nice things to say now - if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."
On the roles she's being offered: "I'd never really played a mom or a wife before and all of a sudden I'm getting all these lonely mom and wife offers. I don't want to get stuck."
On growing up: "I hung out with dudes in high school. We were the hippies-into the Dead, Zeppelin, Phish. I was a lifeguard at the water park, and I remember the day Jerry died. Over the loudspeaker, it said: 'Jerry Garcia has died. Everybody meet in the parking lot.' I probably shouldn’t say that-we were saving lives! But that was definitely a sit-in-the-chair-with-sunglasses afternoon."

On transitioning from modeling to acting: "You're like an object. They move you around. And I felt like, God, I'm miserable. I hate modeling. When I moved back to New York, the agency said I owed them $20,000. So I left the agency and then-very quickly-decided to go to LA and try acting. Without any training."
On Betty: "I don't have a lot in common with Betty, but I'm very protective of her. I just feel like she's trying really hard to make her life good, and make her marriage work, and it just seems hypocritical that when she slips up, people get mad. Because Don does it all the f*cking time."

Shirtless Channing Thinks He's Won the Lottery

Channing Tatum's abs are center stage in GQ's August 2009 issue as he starts promoting G.I. Joe. The actor got married to Jenna Dewan this weekend - ICYMI, check out their wedding photos. Before he tied the knot, he sat down with the magazine to give a very sweet interview about his childhood, newfound fame, and the love of his life Jenna. Here's more:

On Alabama: "I talk different, I walk different, everything. I don't have one single bad memory [there]. Not one. It was my sanctuary. I hated school, wasn't good in school, and me and my dad butted heads about that. But nothing mattered when I went home to Alabama."
On Republicans in Alabama disliking his politics: "I don't care. If they don't like me because I voted for Obama, then f**k them. I like horses and I like Obama. Nothin' wrong with that."
On his mom and education: "If it wasn't for her literally doing my homework for me, I would not have even graduated high school. Guaranteed . . . My mom always said, 'Luck is nothing but preparation and opportunity.' I think because I've had that history of not really being great in school, I probably try to overcompensate. That's why I try to read so many books. Just so I don't feel . . . uneducated."
On his life: "I got crazy lucky. Like, sometimes I think I won the lottery or something. At times it feels like the bottom's gonna fall out. Just 'cause I don't really know how I got here. But I just keep moving forward, and it just keeps getting better and better."

Chris Pine Suits Up Instead of Beaming Up

Chris Pine got decked out in a series of suits for the June issue of GQ. His role as Captain Kirk in Star Trek has everyone buzzing, but he looks equally hot showing off his sense of style. In the article Chris shares a few tidbits about his career and working with Lindsay Lohan. Here are highlights:

On getting teased for his Star Trek role: "It’s pretty f*cking inescapable. I play basketball with a bunch of guys at 9:30 a.m. and it’s like, 'Yo, wussup, Captain Kirk!' I don’t have a smart comeback yet."
On whether or not he was a Trekkie growing up: "I was a Star Wars kid. The kitsch factor in the original Star Trek series is high, but the show manages to take on these huge questions about race, sex, and war. I have a great appreciation for what Mr. Shatner did with the part. There’s a gravity to it, but he’s having fun."
On starring in Just My Luck with Lindsay Lohan: "She was making a lot of money and attracting a lot of attention from the paparazzi. It put in stark relief that I don’t want that kind of life."

If Star Trek can keep up its hot streak at the box office, Chris just might be in for a lot more attention than he bargained for.

Zac Efron's Ready to Get Shirtless and Duke It Out

Zac Efron is on the cover of May's GQ as he continues to get out there and promote 17 Again before its release this weekend. Fresh off hosting SNL, Zac is continuing in his quest to transition from teen idol to serious actor. He sat down with the magazine to discuss mature topics like meeting Hollywood A-listers, marriage, and what he was like as a kid - all while using some colorful language. Here's more:

On doing theater in high school: "It was the worst possible thing you could do in high school. Kids who are in musical theater tend to be self-confident in a quirky kind of way, and when kids who are really self-conscious see somebody doing that kind of thing, they try to bring them down. I used to do random things, man. When I was a kid? I dyed my hair silver, to look like Sisqó in the 'Thong Song' video. I just didn’t give a f*ck. I didn’t care."
On keeping his reputation clean: "I wasn’t programmed by Disney. It’s common sense. If you’re gonna be drunk with your friends, don’t get wasted at the Chateau Marmont and hook up with some famous chick. It’s not rocket science . . . I don’t want to be famous for my personality. If anything, I keep that under wraps."
On marriage: "That was such bullsh*t. I’m definitely not getting married. In this business, you’re either getting married or they want you to be pregnant. I’m not getting married until I’m 40. If ever. The thought never crossed my mind . . . Maybe not 40. Maybe not until I’m 30."

On meeting Sean Penn: "He was, uh, not in top form. Or maybe he was in top form. He was in rare form. Anyway - he told me to go skydiving. That’s all. Just-'Go skydiving.'"
On his lunch date with Leo: "I thought I was gonna ask him questions. He ended up asking me questions, and in that, he told me a lot. He said, 'There's one way that you can really f*ck this all up. Just do heroin. If you steer clear of that-the other obstacles you’ll be able to navigate.' And that makes sense, dude."
On his parents: "They’re both pessimists. They’ll give it to you real. They don’t blow you up with excess confidence. I didn’t grow up thinking I was the greatest kid in the world. And they completely believed that there was a one-in-a-billion chance I would ever be successful. And that was ingrained in the back of my head: I will fail. I’m going to fail. They managed my expectations. I was always prepared to fail. So it was kind of confusing when things started to work out."

Robert Pattinson Faces His Fame in GQ

Robert Pattinson did his best sexy stare and showed off his famous unruly hair for the cover of April's GQ. This month, he's in Vancouver working on New Moon and the third installment of Twilight finally seems to have found a director. Robert sat down with the magazine to chat all about his new life, possible loves, and his next movie. Here's more:

On the stories he's stolen Camilla Belle from Joe Jonas: "I mean, yeah, yeah, I'm friends with Camilla. . . It's funny, though, because I met her at her place the other day, and there’s a security gate, and even the security woman - I guess she knows that Camilla lives there, and she was like, 'Oooh!' . . . That’s the extent of it. I mean, Camilla's the nicest - she’s a saint. And it's funny that she’s being portrayed as this home wrecker. She's literally the most unlikely person to be a home wrecker. It’s just ridiculous."
On his upcoming Little Ashes: "I wanted to have a vacation in Spain. But it became just - really, really hard. I’d never done a job that was so hard. In a lot of ways. I was kind of crossing lines of what I thought I was comfortable doing. I had to do all this naked stuff.”
On his future: "I’m not massively concerned about doing lots of acting jobs. If it all just went, right now, I’d be like, 'All right. I don’t really care.' That’s probably a stupid thing to say. But I don’t, really. I think it’d be much worse to do a load of stuff that’s really bad. Because then you can’t go into another career. If you’ve made an idiot out of yourself, you’re never going to be taken seriously, as a lawyer or something, if you’re, like, a joke actor. The only thing I want from anything is to not be embarrassed."
On getting a girlfriend: "I don't see people. I don't even have people's phone numbers. I almost don't want to have a girlfriend in this environment."

That last quote might disappoint all his female fans out there, but it sounds as though Robert is adjusting as well as can be expected to his newfound super stardom.

Justin Smiles as the Most Stylish Man in America

Justin Timberlake took the number one spot on GQ's Top Ten Most Stylish Men in America, which included his friend TI and Kanye West. In the interview, he scoffed at a question on whether he looks to Jessica Biel for outfit approval, revealed his style influence, and had some high compliments for Kate Moss. Here are some highlights:

On his step-dad's style influence: "Nobody dressed like my dad. When he worked at the bank, he looked like Richard Gere in Gigolo. And he would do it all the night before, laying out the suit he’d wear the next day. Even on weekends, if he had to go into the office, he’d wear a trouser pant with a V-neck sweater and tie. And I was like, I want to dress like that! He was just so cool."
On where he got his manners: "[My mother] always said to me, 'Just because you do this one thing really, really well, it doesn't make you better at everything. It doesn't make you a better person.' The values my mother taught me were like, If you’re going to do something, don't half-ass it. I remember her literally saying that to me. Like the first time I ever heard the term half-ass was coming from my mother's lips. I was probably 8 or 9. If you're going to do something, go ahead and throw 115 percent at it, and if you get 100 percent back, well, there you go - you're perfect."
On who he considers a style icon: "Kate Moss. She looks good in anything. She would look good in one of your t-shirts, in her t-shirt, in a man’s suit, in a huge gown. She looks amazing naked. She even makes nude look stylish. That, to me, is a style icon. She could put a barrel on and it would be some sort of statement."

After a successful runway show last night, Justin can continue sharing his love of fashion with the world. We also might be seeing more of JT in the Big Apple since he and Jessica are supposedly moving to NYC.
