High School Musical 3 hit theaters on Friday, and earlier this week the whole cast paid a visit to TRL after traveling the world to promote their movie. It's the last film in the hugely successful franchise, but since most of you don't think Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are America's newest sweethearts we are curious to see what you make of all the hype. The High School Musical Seniors Are Approaching Graduation
After taking their movie all over the world, the High School Musical kids were back on their home turf to premiere the third and final installment of the franchise in LA last night. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens looked like king and queen of the senior prom while Ashley Tisdale debuted her new darker hair. Fellow Disney star Selena Gomez was there to support her pals, and there were plenty of other celebs and their kids to check out the film.
High School Musical 2's Record Breaking Premiere
Zac Efron had a lot to smile about having lunch and reading over a script at Aroma Cafe in Hollywood yesterday. Friday evening's High School Musical 2 premiere was the most watched cable program of all time, bringing in 17.24 million viewers!! Never underestimate the power of kids, tweens and their parents (who secretly love it).
High Time for a High School Musical DVD Party
All the PYT's from High School Musical were out in LA on Monday to celebrate the release of HSM2 on DVD. While Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens had a little cuddly time on the red carpet, the gang was all about charity as the event benefited a LA children's hospital. And even though the night's focus was on the second movie, the buzz was about how the cast is in talks to join up again for a third installment.
Dakota Goes From Homecoming Princess to Twilight Star
Dakota Fanning took the field to perform with her cheerleading squad before being named homecoming princess Friday night in LA. She smiled big and proudly donned her tiara with a football player on her arm. It's her second year as a high school cheerleader, and this season Dakota probably has a few envious squad mates since she landed her role in the Twilight saga movies — and got to hang out with shirtless Robert Pattinson in Italy, for example.
Sugar Bits — Body Believed to be Jennifer's Nephew Found
- The body of a boy matching the description of Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old missing nephew was found in her deceased brother's SUV this morning. Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were fatally shot in Chicago on Friday, and Jennifer had offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her nephew. — AP

Sugar Bits — Wesley Snipes Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison
- Wesley Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday after being convicted of evading $2.7 million in taxes, despite his efforts to avoid jail by writing the government three checks for $5 million. — AP
- Shia LaBeouf avoided jail time for his unlawful smoking charge yesterday. The court fined him only $500.

Mischa, Zoe and New Reese Assassinate at Sundance
While many of the big name celebrities have left Sundance, the premieres roll on including last night's screening of Assassination Of A High School President. Mischa Barton must have been at least a little cold in her LBD towering over her costars (seriously, she is bending down to be eye level with them for that picture) Zoe Kravitz and Reese Thompson. The new, boy Reese in town was looking a little ridiculous in his getup with two hot women on his arm, but I've been assured that he's really quite endearing in Rocket Science.
