Joseph Gordon-Levitt Bulks Up For an Addictive New Role

Joseph Gordon-Levitt showed up on the Hollywood set of his latest film, Don Jon's Addiction, yesterday. He ran through a scene and showed off his bulked-up frame in a tight blue t-shirt. JGL's diving into another project while his forthcoming feature The Dark Knight Rises preps for a July 20 release. Earlier this week fans got a glimpse of a new poster showing Gotham burning to the ground around Batman. Hot superheros Christian Bale and JGL are just two of the reasons we're excited to see the final chapter in the Batman franchise, and if you're still not convinced, take a peek at the latest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises.

The third (and most likely final) trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is here, and it's just as eerie as the first two. However, there's a lot of new footage here and plenty of new clues about what we're in for when the film hits theaters July 20. Here are the top five reasons we're excited about the latest preview:

Joseph Gordon-Levitt does, in fact, speak in this movie. We're still not entirely sure about JGL's role in this film, other than the fact that he'll play a cop, but at least now we see more of him in action. This is the first time we've heard any of his lines, and it appears that he'll be one of the good guys - and maybe even in cahoots with Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle. Which brings me to my next point . . .
Catwoman might not be a villain. We've all assumed that Selina would be another nemesis for Batman (Christian Bale), but now it appears that she might be a new sidekick instead. Not only does she seem sympathetic to Bruce Wayne, but she voluntarily gets in the batmobile. Perhaps we were a little too quick to accuse her of grand theft batpod.
The batmobile takes flight. That's right - Batman's ride has always been pretty badass, but now it can actually fly!
Bane (Tom Hardy) might be understandable after all. Granted, he doesn't speak too much in this preview, but I still found him to be a lot easier to understand in this trailer than he's been in the past.
Bruce Wayne and Miranda Tate lock lips. Bye bye Maggie Gyllenhaal, hello Marion Cotillard. Cotillard's Miranda still doesn't have any lines in this preview, but we do see her and Bruce in a pretty serious embrace. I'm grateful for a bit of lightness in the midst of all this terrorism, but it does raise a new question - if Selina isn't a villain, might we have a love triangle on our hands?

Looper Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Tries to Take Himself Out

Jeff Daniels only gets one line in the trailer for Looper, but it basically sums up how I feel about the preview: "This time travel crap just fries your brain." The mind-bending film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Joe, an assassin who takes out criminals who are sent from the future. Called "loopers," Joe and his colleagues seem to have a pretty sweet life: they get tons of money, and all their targets are basically hand delivered to them. But Joe is thrown for a loop (see what I did there?) when the man he's supposed to eliminate is an older version of himself (Bruce Willis).

From there, the trailer turns into a slick game of cat and mouse that also involves Emily Blunt toting a gun of her own. Trying to figure out the logistics is already hurting my brain, but I'm excited to see if this one can live up to the intriguing premise. My only gripe is that Gordon-Levitt's sporting a strange accent and some seriously distracting contact lenses that are a little too reminiscent of those aliens in The Host. Charlize, Jonah, Kristen, Alexander, and More Make Up a Star-Studded WonderCon Weekend

The stars came out for WonderCon in Anaheim, CA, this weekend. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum kicked things off on Friday, when they attended a panel for 21 Jump Street in their police uniforms. Jonah talked about working on the movie for five years and said that it's "f*cking crazy" to finally have it being released. The hard work paid off since 21 Jump Street topped the box office with a $35 million opening weekend.

Saturday brought out a whole new crop of celebrities with Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart showing up to promote Snow White and the Huntsman along with their director Rupert Sanders, who called Kristen a "tough cookie" on his way into the event. Emma Stone debuted lighter locks during her appearance for The Amazing Spider-Man, which Andrew Garfield was unable to attend because of his Broadway run in Death of a Salesman. Brooklyn Decker and Alexander Skarsgard paired up for press on their May release, Battleship, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt was all smiles showing off his sci-fi film Looper, which he also coproduced. Joseph explained his current situation in the industry, saying, "I made my money on a sitcom. I don’t have to take jobs to support myself. I’m still cashing my 3rd Rock checks." Charlize was back in front of an audience with a new costar, Michael Fassbender, later in the day to chat up their horror movie, Prometheus. Yesterday was all about the small screen, though, since Joshua Jackson was on hand for Fringe while his girlfriend Diane Kruger attended an event in Miami. The Full Trailer For The Dark Knight Rises Will Give You Chills

The teaser for The Dark Knight Rises was a fun little preview of the final film in Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise, but the full trailer is the one that will send shivers down your spine. Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) is featured a little, but this preview mostly focuses on the villains: Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. I'm already loving Hathaway as an evil-doer, who hints that her motives lie in her desire to bring down the city's wealthy elite (Occupy Gotham, anyone?).

There's so much happening that the trailer barely has time to fit it all in, which means we only see brief glimpses of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard. That said, the special effects already look dazzling (including an eye-popping scene of a football field caving in), and that creepy chanting we've been hearing for months still makes my skin crawl. Joseph Gordon-Levitt Joins Bryce Dallas Howard For a Screening, Then Occupies Wall Street

Bryce Dallas Howard joined her father, director Ron Howard, and her 50/50 costar Joseph Gordon-Levitt at NYC's Museum of Natural History last night for a screening of her directorial project When You Find Me. Bryce created the 15-minute short, and Ron served as producer on the film as part of Canon's Project Imagin8ion series. She's quickly approaching the final weeks of her second pregnancy, and looked lovely in a floor-length Max Azria gown for the event.

JGL came out to support his friends, and posed for photos with Bryce after his arrival. Later in the evening, he ditched his chic attire and changed into something more casual to venture down to the occupy Wall Street protests in Zuccotti Park. The Dark Knight Rises actor brought along his camera and began recording images of the scene when police confronted the protesters around 3 a.m. Joseph headed home early this morning and uploaded the footage to his website and encouraged fans submit their own occupy images.
