Well, after months of anticipation New Moon is finally out on the big screen. We followed Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast from interviews, to photo ops, and even down to LA for their big premiere. They wrapped things up with a final screening and an afterparty on Thursday, and now we get to see the fruits of their labor in theaters again and again if we want. New Moon Breaks Midnight Box Office Record!

It's official - all that promotion paid off! Summit Entertainment just released the news that New Moon had the biggest midnight opening of all time, raking in an estimated $26.27 million last night! It beat out Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as The Dark Knight. Congratulations to Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and the rest of the cast - well-deserved partying indeed. Robert, Kristen, and the New Moon Cast Pause to Party

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner were together for last night's special NYC screening of New Moon along with their many costars. It looks like they split up for the afterparty, though, with Robert and Kristen spotted afterward looking far more casual on their way out of a lounge in the city's Meatpacking District. The official afterparty was held in a different neighborhood at The Box, where Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr were spotted making a hasty retreat in the rain. Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, and Peter Facinelli were also there to party with a select group, and he even stopped to pose with fans on the way out. Elizabeth Reaser and Taylor had to rest up for an appearance this morning; he headed to The Today Show, so check his interview out after the jump.

New Moon Cast Has a Big NY Finale Before Tonight's Opening!

The cast of New Moon trotted out for one more red carpet in NYC tonight. They all showed up to greet fans and press for a final special screening before the movie's official release tonight at midnight! Kristen rocked out in a green one shoulder dress to finish off her spectacular fashionable weeks - find out how to get New Moon star style here and take a look at the top five Twilight red carpet moments. Elizabeth Reaser and Ashley Greene both look fantastic amid some of their other celebrity attendees like Natalie Portman and Taylor Momsen.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen arrived together, but posed separately. Despite another exhausting day, Robert managed some smiles for the awaiting crowd who cheered big whenever they caught a glimpse. The rest of the men of the Twilight saga didn't look too shabby themselves! The New Moon gang is in the home stretch before their film hits screens tomorrow. Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Nikki Reed spent yesterday making their own media rounds, and the movie's three biggest stars were equally busy. Taylor Lautner was able to take a break last night, though, to have dinner in NYC with friends. Kristen and Taylor Talk New Moon in Knoxville and New York

Kristen Stewart was back in another voluminous gown for a benefit screening of New Moon in Knoxville, TN, last night. What do you think of her Jason Wu dress - love it or leave it? Taylor Lautner was by her side for the event, though Robert Pattinson was not on hand. The trio was together at Monday's big LA premiere and out at the afterparties, which Kellan Lutz admitted to Ellen DeGeneres yesterday that he had a hard time getting into. Kristen was already in NYC by this morning, when she made a stop at The Today Show despite being a little under the weather - check out her interview below. Kelly Ripa excitedly Twittered a photo of Kristen's next stop at Regis and Kelly, where Robert is expected tomorrow before Taylor sits down with the hosts on Friday.
