Update: Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirms that Madonna and Guy Ritchie will divorce after seven and a half years of marriage. The couple requests that the public respect their privacy. They have not agreed on a settlement.
Madonna Speaks About A-Rod, and Spends Weekend With Guy
Madonna and Guy Ritchie continued to put up a united front in NYC over the weekend between spending time with their kids and a trip to the Kabbalah Center. Even though they're not all smiles, Madonna and Guy are determined to show us they're going strong. On the other side, according to Alex Rodriguez's wife's lawyer, she will officially file for divorce this morning and very much blames Madonna for the split.
Madonna's Rep Denies Divorce, Affair Rumors
Guy Ritchie looked surprisingly upbeat arriving at JFK yesterday and heading back from the gym this morning with his trainer, perhaps because things aren't as bad as they've been made out to be. Madonna's rep responded to the heightening divorce rumors saying, "Madonna's husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family (not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving)...There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce." She went on to also shoot down the rumors of Madonna's alleged secret meetings and possible affair with NY Yankee Alex Rodriguez.
Newly Single Madonna Has Her Kids to Keep Her Company
Madonna was in NYC this weekend spending time with her kids and making trips to the Kabbalah center. Madonna and Guy Ritchie's preliminary divorce became official on Friday, and the singer apparently has turned to a number of outlets to keep her spirits up. She found familiar comfort meeting up with her ex-husband, Sean Penn, plus Madonna said she's using work as a distraction, performing in Atlantic City on Saturday.
Madonna Still Staying Mum Amidst Break Up Rumors
Madonna ducked into the back of a car in Manhattan on Friday morning before heading to Kabbalah services with Carlos Leon and her children that night. I can imagine it's been a rough week for Madonna as the rumors of an impending divorce have reached fever pitch and from more legitimate sources than ever before. While she and Guy have yet to respond to these most recent stories, the newest is that he is headed to NYC this weekend as to make one more effort to save their marriage.

Gwyneth Paltrow was out in London yesterday, running errands solo, simple in all black to match what may have been a somber day. Apparently, Gwyneth spent the Summer trying to convince her friend and fellow expat Madonna not to file for divorce and instead consider the effect it could have on her three kids. It looks like Madonna ultimately made up her mind on her own, officially announcing her split from Guy yesterday, but we're sure that Gwyneth will be there for her friend nonetheless.
