Mila, Natalie and Emmy Make It a Starlet-y Night at the NY Ballet
It was a lovely evening for the ballet in NYC yesterday, as celebrities gathered at the Lincoln Center for the Fall Gala. Mila Kunis posed pretty with Natalie Portman, who is having quite the cultured week in the city after checking out Jude Law's official opening at Hamlet on Tuesday. The girls are starring as rival ballet dancers in the upcoming thriller Black Swan, so it's all in the name of research for Mila and Natalie.
Natalie and Devendra Bond Over Books
Natalie Portman and her new guy have taken their romance from the streets of NYC to a bookstore, where they were spotted earlier this week laughing together. It was a momentary mystery to ID her guy under all that hair, but Nat's new man is none other than folk singer Devendra Banhart, whose music I like a lot. They have a bit of a history together; Natalie included one of his songs on a playlist she made to support her favorite charity FINCA, and she recently starred in one of his music videos.
Natalie Kicks Off Spring with a Flower Child
It looks like Natalie Portman has traded in last Fall's flame, Nathan Bogle, for a new guy. She and her bearded fellow went for a stroll in NYC yesterday, and based on the PDA levels, it would appear they're more than friends. It makes sense that vegan Harvard grad Natalie would be into peacoat wearing/hippie kind of guy and she's a smart lady so we'll trust her judgment.

Natalie Portman made a rare appearance in NYC yesterday without her usual sidekicks — her boyfriend Devendra and her cute puppy. Of course, Natalie doesn't need any friends to look cool all on her own, which is just one of the many reasons she secured the No. 41 spot on the 2008 PopSugar 100.
Plaid Is Where Natalie's Heart Is
Natalie Portman showed off her Summer style in her plaid dress and flip-flops shopping with a friend in Malibu on Sunday. It looks like the actress and music video star is enjoying her time on the West Coast while her gorgeous NYC condo is on the market. It's good to see Natalie getting in some girl time, but her best buddies — her cute puppy and boyfriend, Devendra — probably aren't too far from her thoughts.
Naomi Stands for Her Man at the Opening of Talk Radio
A pregnant Naomi Watts was glowing in blue at the opening night of boyfriend Liev Schreiber's Talk Radio in NY over the weekend. In the play, Liev's character is a Cleveland shock jock who is in love with his own voice. Liev, of course, received glowing reviews for his performance which isn't surprising considering he already has a Tony for Glengarry Glen Ross.
Sugar Bits — McCain Cancels on Letterman, Not Couric
- Dave Letterman wasn't pleased yesterday when John McCain canceled his scheduled appearance on the show at the last minute. McCain said it was part of his campaign's suspension, however he still found time for an interview with Katie Couric. — Huffington Post

Natalie Portman's Life of Leisure
Natalie Portman was flying solo in NYC on Thursday — well, not totally solo, thanks to her four-legged buddy — without Devendra by her side for the first time in a while. She also left her slouchy necessities at home in favor of a perfectly put-together and hip outfit. Hard-working Natalie doesn't have any more movies on her schedule to film for the time being, and while I'm sure she'll be busy soon enough, she certainly deserves some lazy Summer days with her new boyfriend and doggie.
