Lohan Gets A Head Start On Her New Year's Resolutions
Lindsay Lohan spent another day hard at work on her community service in Pomona before high tailing it back to LA for dinner with a friend (but not her new BFF or rumored BF) at Madeo. On her way out she was clutching her Ariva lozenges, which supposedly curbs your appetite for cigarettes. So I guess Lindsay is kicking one of her final bad habits to round out her crazy roller coaster year.

There were plenty of parties to choose from on NYE, but Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz had their own at PURE in Vegas on Wednesday. The couple celebrated their first new year as newlyweds and parents with other celebs like Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, and the Kardashian sisters — check how out how all the stars celebrated new years here. After an exciting 2008, Ashlee was hard-pressed to find a resolution, saying, "I don't know if I can have high expectations for 2009 because 2008 was so good.
Paris Terrorizes Australia With Shopping
Paris Hilton and Brittany Flickinger continued their tour of Sydney last night with dinner after a long day of shopping before hitting the beach and getting all dressed up for tonight's New Years eve party. Paris managed to surprise and even offend some locals by spending the equivalent of $100 a minute, but the Deputy Prime Minister was quick to step in and declare it a good thing. Who knows why actual politicians were drawn into the minor controversy, but hey.

Model Macpherson Still Looking 'Elle-a Hot in Her Bikini
Elle Macpherson impressed us with her surfing skills and bikini body once already this holiday season and it looks like the supermodel is still going strong! She certainly earns a place in our hottest bikini bodies of 2008 slideshow. She's still enjoying the sun in Australia with her friends where she slipped into a tiny bikini but was smart enough to cover up a little more for water skiing.
Fergie Keeps on Her Pre-Wedding Workout
Fergie doesn't need any New Year's resolutions as exercise motivation, especially with her wedding less than a week away. The Jan. 10 bride-to-be spent her weekend back in LA jogging and shopping after she and Josh spent NYE in Vegas like so many other celebs.
Britney's Back to LA and Large-Sized Cars
Britney Spears and her dad Jamie arrived back in LA this morning after a weeklong promotional trip to Japan. While we didn't see too much of Britney's trip overseas, she did share a few snapshots and video while keeping us updated with her cute Twitter updates.
