Fall movies are upon us, and I'm making it easier for you to sift through all the theatrical releases by giving you my Fall flick picks. I told you which comedies I'll be in the audience for, and now I'm tackling those movies with a bit more heart: the romances.

Director Natalie Debuts Eve In Venice

Natalie Portman unveiled her short film directorial debut Eve at the Venice Film Festival yesterday. The 17 minute short marks the first of two projects she has directed, including part of the collaborative movie New York, I Love You. When I met her back in February I was struck by her intelligence, and she looked stunning over the weekend when she picked up a humanitarian award, as well as working both casual and formal styles in Venice yesterday. Orlando Gets Flexible and Loves NY

Orlando Bloom happily hung out with a few of his fans after a long day of shooting New York, I Love You yesterday. He was looking a little sleepy, though it sounds like he's getting in some good yoga sessions with Miranda to keep his energy up. Orlando may only have to shoot a short film right now, but luckily he might already have his next project waiting for him when he's done on the east coast.

Rachel Bilson was back to her natural little self enjoying the Spring weather in Manhattan while filming New York, I Love You today. While she was kind of unrecognizable in the blond wig, Bella wants to know which hair color you like better on her? This time Rachel and her man Hayden were joined on set by Andy Garcia. You know, just another star added to the roster for this movie. How much fun is that wrap party...and premiere going to be?

Rachel and Hayden Are a Couple of New York Lovers

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen looked right at home filming New York, I Love You in Manhattan yesterday. Considering they got together filming Jumper, these two are no strangers to on-set couple time. They look like such the movie stars in their directors' chairs and umbrella to shade them from the sun. After his yucky smoke break, Hayden showed off his basketball skills to the crew. How much does Rachel look like Kate Bosworth in that blond wig? We're hoping this movie lives up to all its star power even though we'll only be seeing our favorite faces on the screen for small segments of the bigger project.

Orlando and Christina Also Love New York

Orlando Bloom and Christina Ricci are the latest actors to be spotted filming New York, I Love You - seriously, who isn't in this movie - yesterday in Central Park. Orlando was all wrapped up in his big coat and hat looking a little Derelicte chic while Christina kept warm just by standing next to his hotness. Between Bilson, Shia, Natalie on screen and Scarlett's directorial debut (just to name a few) the expectation will be high when this movie hits the big screen. We've got a ways to wait, but count me in for an opening night seat.

Shia Gets Some Love From New York, Too

Shia LaBeouf hit an all-time low on the hair meter yesterday, but don't worry - it wasn't his own doing. The star got suited up and gelled down for his newest film, New York, I Love You. We've already seen Scarlett and Natalie working on their respective shorts for the collaborative film, and Shia is just one of the many big stars who recently signed on to be part of the project. This movie is already getting a lot of attention, and anything that gets Shia out of his usual action flick definitely has our interest.

Natalie's Love Is Not Limited to Paris

We've seen Scarlett Johansson flexing her directorial muscles for New York, I Love You, and now her co-star Natalie Portman is getting in on the fun too. She went make-up free at a park by the Brooklyn Bridge to do some shooting yesterday. The movie is in the same vain of Paris Je t'aime, which Natalie was also a part of, so we're not surprised to see her taking a role in the city she currently calls home.

Scarlett Is Director of Fur

Scarlett Johansson is still honing her director's eye behind the camera shooting her segment of New York, I Love You. She and Kevin Bacon were shooting on Coney Island yesterday, but something tells me that's not the Manhattan native's neighborhood (or borough) of choice. Maybe she didn't get her first pick? Either way I'm sure all that time around Woody has taught Scarlett a thing or two about being behind the lens.

Scarlett Johansson was looking chic in her purple gloves and cute trench yesterday, but she wasn't spending any time in front of the camera. Instead she was taking her turn as director for a short film as a part of New York, I Love You - a compilation of shorts about love in NYC. A big apple native herself, this seems like the perfect project for Scarlett's directorial debut. Her film also stars Kevin Bacon, so if nothing else, this will make her just one degree away.
