It wasn't all about Halloween this weekend; across the country rallies were being held to get out the word in the final days before tomorrow's election. On Saturday, Scarlett Johansson hit Ohio to show her support for Barack Obama and get out the vote, while her husband Ryan Reynolds got ready to run the NY marathon yesterday with her support from afar. Jay-Z spoke at rallies on both Saturday in Virginia and Sunday in Florida about how honored he is to be able to participate in the campaign, saying, "Obama's running so we all can fly."

Katie Holmes looks fresh-faced and gorgeous on the November cover of Elle. It's the "Women in Hollywood" issue, which, along with Katie, features Emily Blunt, Julianne Moore, Renee Zellweger, and Zoe Saldana. In the magazine, Katie talks a little about what it was like to be a mom working on Broadway as well as what kinds of movies she loves the best.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick debuted their twin daughters, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, yesterday. Inquisitive six-year-old James Wilkie peeked between his parents to get a good look at his new baby sisters. The family posed together yesterday in their NYC home after the twins were born via surrogate last week in Ohio.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's surrogate apparently gave birth to their twin girls at East Ohio Regional Hospital last night, according to a local report. Their reps have not confirmed the story yet, but an announcement is expected from the couple before they leave the hospital. Congratulations to the new family of five!

Barack Obama took the presidency tonight after breakthrough wins in Ohio and Virginia. At 8 p.m. PST, as soon as the polls closed in California, Oregon and Washington, the networks called the election of President Barack Obama.

Natalie Portman took her dog for a walk in the West Village yesterday. Natalie campaigned for Obama in Ohio and used kittens to urge people to vote so she must be happy at the outcome this week. Next up for Natalie is filming Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, which she'll star in and executive produce.

Natalie Portman was one of Paris Fashion Week's most fab attendees before briefly returning to help campaign for Barack Obama in Ohio. Now, she's back in the French city enjoying some down time. She and a friend went out for a scenic stroll on Monday before checking out a Picasso exhibit at the Grand Palais museum.
