Stars Sparkle, Burn and Sing at the American Music Awards

The stars of last night's American Music Awards hit the red carpet before heading inside LA's Nokia Theatre for the main event. Janet Jackson kicked things off with an energetic eight minute performance, and the evening's first award then went to the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas went on to take the stage to do "Boom Boom Pow" with a special Nirvana twist. The show went on with performances from Carrie Underwood and Shakira, as well as from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys with "Empire State of Mind." Unfortunately not everyone stayed on their feet - both Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert took tumbles while singing.

There were other memorable performances, from Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and not to mention Whitney Houston's return to the stage before she received the International Award of Excellence. Jennifer Lopez had a beaming Marc Anthony in the crowd as she debuted her new single and showed off those customized Louboutins. Michael Jackson won multiple awards, and his brother Jermaine took the stage to accept the award on behalf of their family. Taylor Swift took home the most statues, though she wasn't there and the upset of the night might have to go to Gloriana who won breakthrough artist - make sure to check out the full list of winners. Kate Hudson joined her Nine costars Fergie and Nicole Kidman, though Kate did have a chance to share a special moment with Alex Rodriguez. Ashlee and Jessica Wish Bronx a Happy First Birthday!

Ashlee Simpson held tight to Bronx as she and Pete Wentz shopped at a comic book store in LA today. Ashlee is home from NY, where she started her rehearsals for Chicago on Broadway. She's just in time for Bronx to turn 1 today, and she declared her time as a mom the best year of her life. Sister Jessica was also in town continuing her workout routine to keep her hot body in shape, before twittering happy birthday to her nephew.

Leighton, Ashlee and Jessica Show Their American Eagle Pride

A handful of starlets hit the red carpet last night to celebrate the grand opening of America Eagle's new flagship store in NYC. The Gossip Girl crowd was well-represented, with Leighton Meester cozying up to Michelle Trachtenberg and Jessica Szohr. Adrian Grenier, Pete Wentz, and Ashlee Simpson were also out to browse the offerings at the new space in Times Square. Ashlee was able to see Pete man the DJ booth between rehearsals for Chicago, and her sister Jessica is getting "chillibumps" just thinking about Ash's Broadway debut.

Pete wasn't the evening's only entertainment - Leighton Meester donned a pair of kaleidoscopic leggings to perform four songs, including her single, "Somebody to Love." You guys aren't sure what to make of Leighton's racier styles, but she really threw her all into the performance. Good things seem to be happening for American Eagle, and it looks like they've already recruited more than a few famous fans.

Ashlee, Pete, and Bronx Keep Trucking Along

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson brought Bronx along yesterday for a family trip to a CVS in LA. Bronx looked excited to get home and play with his new toy truck, which Pete handled as the trio made their way to the car. Ashlee coordinated her all-black outfit with her new dark hair, which she's free to alter now that she's off Melrose Place - though we're going to see a whole lot more of her in some saucy scenes still to air this season. There are whispers that Ashlee might be Broadway bound to reprise her role in Chicago, but for now she and Pete are all about fun California times with Bronx.

Ashlee and Pete have lots going on these days, as they start looking for a new family-friendly home and Ashlee wraps up her stint on Melrose Place. Despite their hectic schedules, the duo is always up for special outings with their little guy.

Taylor Swift had a fun-filled weekend in LA with Taylor Lautner, but she's also been busy with all kinds of work. She was out on Sunday to film a new commercial for Band Hero along with Travis Barker and Pete Wentz, and yesterday Taylor was dressed in a pretty floral dress to appear on Dancing With the Stars - make sure to check out her performance. There was also time for a radio interview, when she opened up about her potential new boyfriend by saying, "I don't know, he's an amazing guy and we're really close. . . and ah. . . yep." Taylor finally had a chance to treat to herself to dinner and dessert with Selena Gomez after the long day, and the girls certainly had some things to discuss considering their shared history with Mr. Lautner.

Paris Hilton was a busy bee in LA yesterday, as she continued her shopping spree with Nicky in the afternoon before hitting a Hello Kitty party with Pete Wentz and mom of three Kimora Lee Simmons. Never one to end a night early, Paris then headed out to dinner at Mr Chow and dancing at Voyer with Doug Reinhardt. Paris may be acting when it comes to her ditzy image, but she's an expert when it comes to managing her demanding social schedule.

Ashlee and Pete Show Bronx the Shopping Ropes

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz took Bronx for a shopping trip in LA on Saturday, while on Sunday Ashlee was all business on her way into a photo shoot. The trio was back together in California after a month of travels, including a short Fall Out Boy tour and Ashlee's poolside birthday in Vegas. Pete is already off again, as he'll be moderating a panel on video games and music in NYC tonight. Pete and Ashlee have packed schedules, but he is also looking towards the future and expanding their family in a major way when they find time to make it work.

The Ladies Heat Things up at MTV's Los Premios Awards

It's been a big week for Latin music, from the PBS Music Special with J. Lo to last night's Los Premios Awards honoring the best music of the genre. The event was hosted by MTV in LA, and the red carpet was full of gorgeous gals, from Alessandra Ambrosio, Ashley Tisdale, and Audrina Patridge to Kelly Osbourne - who do you think was the best dressed?

Nelly Furtado kicked off the show, which also brought out Pete Wentz, Snoop Dogg, Tommy Lee, and Dave Navarro. Selena Gomez was also on hand, looking sweet in her neutral-colored gown. Ashley Tisdale was another of the evening's performers, and Shakira even made an appearance via satellite.
