Britney's Piece of Me - Love It or Leave It?

We were teased the other day with Brit's new hot video and now we have "Piece of Me" in its entirety. It's definitely a major improvement although still not the old Britney. This video is clearly a step up from Gimme More and the creative concept is so much better this time around although anything is better than strip pole dancing. Take a look and tell us if you love it or leave it!

Britney Wears Many Hats, Now With More New Music!

Britney was all over LA this weekend with her favorite fedora along for the whole ride. On Saturday she went furniture shopping, but the store was closed and on Sunday she had an early dinner out at Taverna Tony's with Sean Preston and Jayden James in tow. When not with her boys she had her other favorite accessory in hand - a Red Bull can. Both these outfits are better than her pockets-out weekend look, yes? And about that new music...

Britney's still holding strong at #1 downloaded song on iTunes (though she has dropped off the top 10 in ringtones, whatever), but if Gimme More isn't your speed maybe Britney's rumored new single below will be. It's called Piece of Me, which is also supposedly the name of her upcoming album. I'm not loving it, but she's certainly spitting 'tude these days. Give it a listen - what do you think?

Britney Nabs Another VMA Nomination For Best Pop Video!

Another two categories of VMA nominations will be announced tonight, but we got some insider news that Britney Spears will pick up her second nod for "Piece of Me," this time in the Best Pop Video category!

Danity Kane's "Damages" will also compete for the coveted Moonman, but we'll have to wait for tonight's episode of FN MTV to see the rest of the nominees in the category as well as the nominees for Best Hip Hop Video. We're psyched to see that Brit is on a roll so far - all the more reason for her to make an appearance on award night!

A Piece of Britney on the 2008 VMAs!

After a relaxing weekend showing off her bikini body with her boys, Britney Spears got back to work on her new album last night in Hollywood. While we're excited to hear what she's got in store next, she may still be getting recognition for last year's Blackout. Rumor has it that Brit will be scoring a VMA nomination in the Best Female Video category for "Piece of Me." We'll find out for sure tomorrow night on FN MTV, and though it may not be as exciting as another comeback performance sounds like a good way to get Miss Brit on the red carpet for the show.

Britney Wants to See Your Piece of Me

Britney Spears kept up her constant string of Primp hoodies, back in the black one on her way into the Four Seasons (natch) last night. She looked a little worried, but I can't blame the girl for being stressed with the paparazzi swarm - hell, her driver couldn't handle it for more than a couple nights before quitting. Britney shot her new video for "Piece of Me" into the wee hours of Thursday morning, but rather than wait until January to see that hit on MTV, Jive wants to see what her fans can come up with. Starting Monday, they're holding a make your own video contest for the new single and the winning one will air on TRL Dec. 20. So what do you think, any amateur video director out there eager to show off a piece of Britney?

Diane Kruger Likes Being One of the Boys

Diane Kruger was up early this morning in NYC for an appearance on Live With Regis and Kelly. She's dedicated to getting out there to promote Inglourious Basterds with premieres across the globe, though she also finds time to unwind by partying with Brad and Angelina. At a recent press junket, Diane gushed about her admiration for Brad and talked about how comfortable she was working with him - check out the video of her interview here. She also had lots to say about Quentin Tarantino and drinking with the cast in Berlin. Here's more:

On Inglourious's male-oriented cast : "It's fun being one of the boys. It's fun to play a character that is tough and gets down and dirty and not to be this precious little piece that sits in the corner and just stands by the action."
On filming the movie in Berlin: "It [was] nice to be able to go home, my family [was] two hours away. I love the German food! Every Friday on Quentin's sets, the crew drinks and everybody goes. There's a bar we would go to all the time called Tarantino's. The owner is Quentin's biggest fan, the whole place is filled with memorabilia. Of course, he's never met Quentin. One night Quentin walks in, Brad Pitt right behind him with the entire cast. The guy nearly had a heart attack. I mean, can you imagine?"
On what she's most grateful for: "That I'm still here. That I'm sitting here today. Who knew? Knock on wood. It's been a journey and finally things are turning around, I think."

On auditioning for Tarantino: "The tough part is to get the job. He's one of the last directors in Hollywood who gets away with only hiring the actors he absolutely wants for a part - he would not have hired Brad Pitt if he wasn't Aldo Raine. It was hard for me to get the job, he had someone else in mind. He didn't believe I was German. It's like 'for god's sake, what's next?' He saw every actress in Germany, so you know you have to deliver in the room. Once I got hired, it was a walk in the park. I mean it was a very challenging part and there were hard days at the office. I haven't been allowed, in America at least, to play quite such a strong, tough, fierce woman. His dialogue is great, but it's not easy. You have to read it a few times. It's not your typical Hollywood shebang."
On her favorite TV shows: "Mad Men is my favorite show. I do like Fringe, of course. I'm a little biased, I wasn't going to bring that up."
On working with Josh: "He's pretty busy right now, so I don't think that for the next couple years there's going to be any projects between the two of us. I want to be one of the gooey monsters that gets killed on Fringe. It would be so fun."

Blake Wants You to Know She's Not a Piece of Bubble Gum

Blake Lively and her very smoky eyes are on the cover of Allure's May issue, which is out on April 21. She's currently enjoying some time off with Penn, but before her hiatus she sat down with the magazine to chat about keeping her love life private and her image. Here's more:

On her size: "I feel like a tranny a lot of the time. I don’t know, I’m. . . large? They put me in six-inch heels, and I tower over every man. I’ve got this long hair and lots of clothes and makeup on. I just feel really big a lot of the time, and I’m surrounded by a lot of tiny people. I feel like a man sometimes."
On her image: "I'm blonde, and I have a small dog, so I try to avoid looking like a piece of bubble gum."
On why she doesn't talk much about Penn: "You see people who will open up their relationships, who are very affectionate on the red carpet or are doing a reality show with each other, and their relationship just seems to crumble, so I decided to keep a vow of silence."
On what she will say about her boyfriend: "He plays any instrument he picks up. He bought a piano, and then two months later you would think he was a concert pianist."

It's great to see she's one gorgeous girl who doesn't take things too seriously. Her Gossip Girl costars are going to be busy during their Summer hiatus from the series, and Blake's sure to be back to work once she returns all rested from her trip.

Nicole Richie Shows Us Her House of Harlow

Nicole Richie arrived hand-in-hand with her little sister Sophia at Kitson in LA on Saturday to debut her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line. She was draped in jewels from the collection and looking angelic in a gold headband and white flowy dress. As crowds of fans gathered outside waiting for their turn to meet Nicole, we were lucky enough to be invited inside to catch up with her and check out her beautiful work. She spoke about the line, balancing her roles as both mom to Harlow and designer, and what we can expect next from the brand. Here's more and check out the video after the jump:

Question: How did your jewelry line all come together?
Nicole: I had the idea to do the line about two years ago and it took that long for everything to really come together. I met Pascal [Mouawad] and he’s such a genius. I really respected him so I knew 100 percent that that’s who I wanted to partner up with and I'm really happy that I did.

Q: You had a baby in that time; how do you find the time to do all this?
N: I think there’s 24 hours in a day, and if you schedule it right it just all works out.

Q: Can you talk a bit about your inspiration behind House of Harlow?
N: I’m really inspired by the '60s and '70s. I have a pretty big collection of vintage jewelry so this particular collection was based off of that.

Q: You talked a bit about that collection of jewels and pieces from your family in InStyle last Fall. Are there any particular pieces you’re excited to pass down to your children?
N: Definitely! I would be honored to. My mom has passed down so many great pieces to me so that would be really great.

Q: Do you have any favorite pieces in the line?
N: The headpieces are definitely my favorite.

N: Yes! I just partnered up with a company and we’re going to be expanding House of Harlow. We’re going to be doing sunglasses, belts, bags, clothing . . . so I’m very, very excited.

N: Well probably the first thing will be out next year. We’re going full steam with it.

Q: Any plans to design for your charity at all?
N: Definitely! When the right opportunity comes along, yes. I love helping people.

Heath Ledger's Family Talks About His Oscar Win, Matilda, and Their Son

Heath Ledger's mother, father and sister took the stage tonight during a touching moment at the Oscars. There were tears in everyone's eyes and the applause was huge when they entered the press room. His father, Kim, usually does the talking for the family, but this time it was so sweet to hear from his sister Kate and his mother Sally.

Kate on giving the award to Matilda: Obviously it belongs to Matilda, so whatever has to happen in the meantime we haven't discussed it. It will go somewhere secure in the meantime.
Kate on knowing this role was special: When he came home for Christmas a year ago he'd been sending me bits and pieces from the film. I hadn't seen the whole thing, he hadn't seen it either. No one had seen it and I said to him, I have a feeling you’re going to get a nomination. He just looked at me and smiled, he knew.
Sally on what Heath's reaction would be this award season: I think he would have been quietly pleased. He enjoyed the performance he did. He was very proud. He was never one to be over the top but he would be really quietly pleased to be recognized by the people of his industry.
Kate on Matilda knowing about the accolades: Michelle keeps Matilda closeted in a nice way. Matilda won't really know much about the fuss that’s going on. Michelle will make the decisions of when it's appropriate to celebrate this kind of thing. . . We’re very close with Michelle and she's done an amazing job with Matilda. We're in constant contact.
Both parents on Matilda being like Heath: Sally: Well I think you just have to look at Matilda to know she's totally like her daddy. She has the same mannerisms. I really feel like he is in her. Kim: She has his boundless energy. Sally: Just watching her enthusiasm and energy, and she looks a bit like him, it's really nice.

More on the film from his family is over on Buzz. It won't be an Oscar moment soon forgotten and Matilda will grow up to learn of her father's incredible journey with The Dark Knight.
