It wasn't just the usual crew of Apatow boys at last night's LA premiere of Pineapple Express. Established and legendary Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy came out to support the younger crew of funny kids while fashion icon (and seriously loving it!) Kanye West also made his way to the screening. Of course, the stars of the movies themselves James Franco and Seth Rogen, meandered down the red carpet all cleaned up, handsome and fancy looking.

James Franco was back in costume as Allen Ginsburg on the NYC set of Howl yesterday afternoon. His schedule is jam packed between his snooze-inducing grad school lectures and working on his controversial UCLA commencement address, but he's already looking towards his next movie project. James Franco kicked off his weekend with a ceremony celebrating his status as the Harvard Hasty Pudding Club's Man of the Year in Cambridge on Friday. The thespians threw James a quickie bar mitzvah as part of his roast, which included wearing an eye patch and a bra in honor of Pineapple Express. James never had a real bar mitzvah, but seemed happy with the substitute as he joked, "Yeah, I guess I wasn't a man until tonight.

James Franco was up bright and early in NYC on Wednesday morning and we have a feeling that big smile lasted all the way through Thursday when the Golden Globe Nominations were announced. While his movie Milk didn't do as well as expected, James nabbed a best actor nod for Pineapple Express. James was up late the night before working on a student film for grad school and admits the nomination was a little surprising.

Cutie James Franco offered a big grin and a wave to his fans on his way to The Late Show in NYC last night. He got to work promoting Pineapple Express before the big premiere tonight, and his chat with Dave was a very special one — his first! James admitted he was nervous as he talked about his grandma, his parents, and how working at McDonald's helped him practice acting and score dates.
