PopSugar's Fall Favorite TV Picks

Tonight some of our favorite shows are returning and since Fall TV is officially here, enjoy my list of favorite new shows to watch. Sorry I am a bit late but considering Buzz has already dished on all her picks including, 5 to watch, 5 to skip and 5 she's on the fence with we know you have been very well informed already. The good news is Buzz and I agree on 4 out of her 5 to watch (sorry Reaper - we're just not that into you). The 4 shows we are obsessing over are Pushing Daises, Dirty Sexy Money, Chuck and Gossip Girl (the latter two brought to us by the genius Josh Schwartz who made our dreams come true).

Chuck was the first show I started crushing on. The adorable Zachary Levi as a geeky guy who gets pulled into an Alias-like life just instantly grabbed my attention.

However, even cuter than Chuck is an equally dorky guy named, Ned. The pie maker from the fairy tale show, Pushing Daisies, is literally the sweetest character on TV this fall. Unlike most gratuitous sex scenes and phrases on TV these days, this show has a great story line about a couple who can't even touch yet it's very heartwarming.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Dirty Sexy Money. Peter Krause from Six Feet Under is now a lawyer for one of the richest families in NYC. It's hard to not get sucked into the life of the rich and well, the richer.

Which then leads us to Gossip Girl. High school. Rich kids. Josh Schwartz. Beautiful clothes and hair. What more could you want in an hour of TV? We're two episodes in and already talking non-stop to our friends about Team Serena vs Team Blair.

While all my shows may have a theme of dreamy men or rich Manhattenites, it's way more than that. Just trust me. As for a favorite 5th. The jury is still out. I want to like Big Shots but the pilot was way cheesy so it doesn't make the cut. I also want to like Private Practice but based on last night's episode, we're not so sure it's gonna happen. We're holding out that Cashmere Mafia is the 5th show but I have yet to see the pilot so I can't officially add it to the list.... yet.

ABC Pushes Daisies & Lots of Beautiful Women in Some Club that May Include The Simpson Sisters

Yesterday kicked off the ABC TCAs and although we have to wait until the end of November to check out Cashmere Mafia, the network has plenty of other new shows that are bound to be big hits. Pushing Daisies might be my favorite new show this season (sorry Chuck). The fairy tale-like show is brought to us by Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black) and Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls). The show is so beautiful to watch I could not take my eyes off the screen. Lee Pace is the adorable main character that can bring people back to life by touching them, but he can kill them just as quickly with a second touch. He resurrects his childhood sweetheart and the two have this untouchable (literally) loving romance. It's so sweet and only was a small part of such an entertaining show. The Women's Murder Club based on the popular James Patterson books is another show with a beautiful foursome but this time they're solving crimes in SF. I am not normally into formulaic cop-like shows but this one was very entertaining and everything about Angie Harmon is gorgeous, especially the way she talks about her family. She said:

"My husband is the most brilliant father on the planet... I actually have him more now at home than I did when he was playing....it's just all worked out really, really beautifully. The whole show coming into my life, and I know that my time with my girls is going to be fine and my husband is great, and he's happy with is job and where he is. So my family is in a really good place right now. I'm really thankful to be here."

She spoke really passionately about her new role and her home life so now I am a huge fan. Oh and did I mention Joe Simpson is an executive producer on the show? Well he is and he was asked if his daughters will guest star. Make sure to check out his response so read more

Joe's response to if his famous daughters will guest star was, "It's not in the plan, but you never know what tomorrow holds. That's not how we ever started this show, with the girls in mind at all so -- but I would never say never because the girls like to be where things are successful. So if we were asked, we will see." It would certainly be an interesting role for Jess or Ashlee.

Reese Celebrates the First of Her Christmases

Reese Witherspoon was smiley and gorgeous even without her costar Vince Vaughn at the premiere of Four Christmases in LA last night. Reese wasn't the only breathtaking blonde - Kristin Chenoweth posed like a pro despite the news that Pushing Daisies has not been picked up further. While Vince wasn't on the red carpet his friend Jon Favreau filled in the place, though we miss his big friendly smile out to promote his endearing holiday spirit with Reese.

Meet Lee Pace. Lee Pace is Delightful!

Pushing Daisies star Lee Pace stopped by to flash that charming smile on Good Morning America yesterday before the premiere of his new TV show. He's totally precious in that huggable way, right? Pushing Daisies made both Pop and Buzz's top five new TV shows and I must say after last night's premiere, I totally agree. It's endearing, interesting and stunningly beautiful (oh, and can't forget about those pies). Check out the rundown on last night's pilot episode starring this new dreamy guy on primetime. And if you need more convincing that Lee is crush worthy, read this awwww interview with him. Sooooo, did you watch?

Buffy, Chuck, and Dillon Football Hit the Paley Festival

This year's Paley Festival in LA has brought out some of our favorite TV stars new, old, and somewhere in between. This week after the Apatow/Pushing Daisies fun, the crews from Friday Night Lights and Chuck both took the stage. Mr. Zachary Levi could use a haircut, but I guess he doesn't have to just yet, since Chuck isn't coming back until next Fall. And speaking of coming back - yay! - the FNL cast says they are very hopeful about being able to return for season three - check out more on those panels here. The biggest news of the festival, however, has to be the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion with adorable Sarah Michelle Gellar. Everyone other than Alyson was out to answer questions from some of the show's most diehard fans. Buzz was lucky enough to be in the audience, so don't miss her take on all the excitement.

PaleyFest Pushes Daisies Into Judd Apatow's Comedy World

Pushing Daisies is on hiatus until next Fall, but lucky for us the cast headed to the 25th annual Paley Television Festival in LA yesterday - including the always-adorable Lee Pace, Kristin Chenoweth, and Anna Friel. Elsewhere in the festival, Judd Apatow hosted a panel with his familiar cast of characters. Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, and Jonah Hill were just a few that came to support The Comedy World of Judd Apatow, a question and answer session that gave the audience a peek inside Judd's head. Our girl Buzz is headed down to the festival at the end of this week to catch the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast reunion and the Gossip Girl crew - how fun! Let her know if you have any burning questions to ask some of our favorite TV stars.

Atonement, Charlie, Sweeney, Clayton, Country Score Big at Golden Globe Nominations

Hayden Panettiere, Ryan Reynolds and Quentin Tarantino were out bright and early this morning in LA to announce the nominees for the 65th annual Golden Globe Awards. Check out the full list of nominations here! For movies, in the drama categories, Atonement scored biggest with seven nominations including Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress (go Keira!), and Screenplay. Michael Clayton and the excellent No Country For Old Men each nabbed four including Best Picture and especially excited to see Clooney Best Actor and Javier for Best Supporting respectively. As for Comedy/Musicals, Charlie Wilson's War got the most nominations with five (including Hanks, Roberts and Seymour Hoffman) while Sweeney Todd nabbing four (including for Johnny Depp and Tim Burton specifically). As expected, Angelina got the nod for A Mighty Heart. I'm also especially excited to see Ryan Gosling nominated for Lars and Casey Affleck for Jesse James.

As for television, sooo excited to see Californication getting nominated in Best Series and Best Actor (yay, Duchovny) along with my beloved 30 Rock. Meanwhile, The Office and even more surprisingly The Sopranos only got one nomination apiece. Also, yay for Pushing Daisies for getting a few nods. Congrats to all the nominees!

Celebs Make Us Feel Lucky That Fall TV Is Almost Here!

Paris took a break from her charitable partying to do a little sisterly bonding with Nicky at a party for Lucky magazine last night at the Chateau Marmont in LA. Meanwhile, Kristen Bell and Taye Diggs chatted it up by the pool. Seeing these two together definitely reminds us of all the exciting new shows we have coming this fall, like Private Practice, and Gossip Girl, which Kristen will narrate.
