Ben Affleck Puts His Vital Voice to Work
Ben Affleck suited up and took the podium at the Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards ceremony in DC last night. The organization trains female leaders in democracies across the globe, and Hillary Clinton was recognized along with the five award recipients. Ben has taken plenty of opportunities to speak his political beliefs in the past, and his participation in the organization should be good practice to help educate his own two girls when they're ready to become leaders themselves.

The 2009 Grammy winners kept things exciting backstage posing with their new statues last night. John Mayer is an old pro by now at posing with multiple Grammy Awards, while Carrie Underwood showed off a new dress to smile for the cameras with hers. Many of the winners were announced before the show, but it was still exciting for them to join the crowd of all the other recipients.
Sugar Bits — Taylor Will Stay on as Jacob For Twilight Sequel
- The author of the Twilight series and director of New Moon confirmed that Taylor Lautner will be reprising his role as Jacob Black in the next movie. There were rumors he would be replaced due to the necessary physical changes needed to continue in the role. — BuzzSugar

Penelope and Bono Come in Peace to Paris
Golden Globe nominee Penelope Cruz joined Bono in Paris on Friday for the Nobel Peace Prize World Summit, a day after Scarlett Johansson hosted the organization's annual concert in Norway. Bono brought his wife Ali, who chatted with Penelope as he mingled with the First Lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, and Ingrid Betancourt, the former Columbian hostage who also recently met with Madonna. They were gathered by past Peace Prize recipients to bestow upon Bono a "man of peace" award, adding yet another distinction to his lengthy list of humanitarian awards.
John Mayer Wants a Certain Ex to Leave Him Alone, Thanks
John Mayer may have quit his official blog in January, but that doesn't mean he's done talking. Just can't stay away. He touched down in LA last night and made his way right to Hyde, where his generosity continued and he gave some jock itch powder and Lotrimin (whatever?) to the paparazzi — seems like he was in a good mood after being in a bit of a funk in NYC earlier in the week.

Paris Hits Harvard
Paris Hilton went to college yesterday, but obviously not to receive an education. Instead she picked up her trophy for being named Harvard Lampoon's Woman of the Year. Clearly Harvard doesn't have the same high standards for its award recipients as it does for its students.
Javier Brings His Manjoyment To Accept Another Statue
Mr. Handsome Javier Bardem got yet another award to add to his rapidly growing collection at the Santa Barbara Film Festival last night. He was chosen as the recipient of the Montecito Award Tribute and his No Country For Old Men costar Woody was there to support his boy after the whole group of them nabbed the best cast award at Sunday's SAG Awards.
Scarlett Receives a Pudding Pot
Yesterday afternoon Scarlett joined the ranks of luminaries like Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts as a recipient of a Harvard Drama Group's Hasty Pudding Award. The award, which is given out by a drama group of the same name and involves Harvard boys being dressed in drag and performing a roast of the celebrity winner, are given to those who've made a "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment." This year, Scarlett shares the honor with Ben Stiller.
Brad and Angelina Giving Away Millions
Angelina and Brad are giving some of their very good fortune back and in a very big way. The two are each donating $1 million to two humanitarian organizations. Brad may be signing up to be the highest paid actor in Hollywood history, and Angelina doesn't do too bad for herself either, so good for them for sharing!
