The New York Times reported that AT&T hooked up Kris's fans with free cell phones and text messaging at various Idol parties, though FOX has already denied that the voting was skewed. Other sources claim that it wasn't a close race since Danny Gokey's fans supported Kris in the finals.
Idol Gets Messy, Melodic and Mustached For Motown Week
The Idols took on Motown last night, which meant a trip to Detroit for the top ten before working with Smokey Robinson on their songs for the week. Matt Giraud kicked off the night perfectly — he was as Justin Timberlake-esque as ever going all out with his awesome rendition of "Let's Get It On" — and it was no surprise that the judges loved it. He was followed up by Kris Allen who made a great choice with "How Sweet It Is" to go with his cute smile and demeanor.
