Rihanna Hasn't Let Shia Under Her Umbrella
Rihanna ditched the boot and temporarily wore a bizarre bandage on her hurt foot before slipping both feet into high heels at a NASCAR event in Hollywood last night. Rihanna was there to perform, but was asked about the rumors that she's dating Shia LaBeouf. She said, "Me and Shia, we are just friends, you know, we barely even know each other."
It Was Another Slimy Kids' Choice Awards
After showing off their looks on the orange carpet, the stars got down to the real fun at the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday night. Miley Cyrus was the night's biggest winner taking home the awards for Favorite TV Actress and Favorite Female Singer, but she managed to avoid being slimed. Orlando Bloom was not as lucky as he got the night's biggest sliming honor.
Casual Rules on the Kids' Choice Awards Orange Carpet
Nickelodeon hosted the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday night, and similar to last year, the big stars — like Will Smith — brought their families for a stroll down the orange carpet. Wannabe Award winner Cameron Diaz, America Ferrera and Ashlee Simpson were just a few of the ladies who got girlie in dresses, while Rihanna and Abigail Breslin went more casual in jeans. Britney's Big Night & Russell Brand's Bad Antics
The long awaited Britney Spears opening included a pre-taped clip with Jonah Hill before her blink-and-you'll-miss-it intro which was greeted by a touching standing ovation and eventually three moonmen! Host Russell Brand didn't hold back when bashing President Bush, calling Palin a VILF and begging for Obama support. He also mocked the promise ring wearing Jonas Brothers but Jordin Sparks came to their defense and called Brand a slut.
JT and Rih are MTV's VMAs Big Winners
Call me crazy but I didn't think Britney's performance was the worst part of the show last night. I would give that award to Sarah Silverman. Seriously, how does this woman still get hired?
Jessica Really Appeals to the Teens
Apparently Jessica and Cash didn't have time to take advantage of being in Paris after Eva and Tony's wedding, because the two were at the airport on their way out yesterday morning. And don't they just look thrilled as usual (though I'm loving her coat)? Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer may have been a bit overshadowed by the other Summer blockbusters, but the Teen Choice Awards committee took notice and nominated Jessica for 3 awards: Hissy Fit, Female Hottie, Action Adventure Actress.

Shia LaBeouf has been all over NYC promoting Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and the rising star also scored the June cover of GQ. Sounds like perfect plane reading as he jets off to Cannes this week. He pulled out his serious faces to go with his big puppy dog eyes for the shoot, but in the article he's just as goofy as ever and gives a little peek at his sweet side, too.
Shia Is Smoking, But Not In A Good Way
Shia LaBeouf is looking almost adorable in that scruffy trucker sort of way, but the cigarette hanging out of his mouth totally ruins it for us. Lucky for Shia, he'll have a chance to redeem himself this Sunday at the VMAs, where he'll be presenting an award. We hope he'll even skip the hair gel and cardigan this time around in an effort to impress his maybe new girlfriend Rihanna.
MTV Kept It On The Tame Side at Movie Awards
Ah the show, the show, the 2 Hour Advertisement For Transformers MTV Movie Awards. Sarah Silverman was just sort of meh as a host for me, but, to be fair, after seeing the men and women arrive the whole show was pretty tame compared to what MTV has churned out in awards shows of yore. Interestingly (and oddly) exactly zero women won or accepted any awards.
