Isla's Cleaning Out Her Closet and Sliding With Olive

Olive Cohen looked warm and toasty in her cocoon while Isla Fisher pushed her around Central Park yesterday. Isla day-to-day fashion choices don't stand out quite as much as Becky Bloomfeld's in Confessions of a Shopaholic, but Patricia Field said Isla looks fantastic in everything. In a recent interview, Isla says she respects Olive's right to privacy, but the actress talked about her own wardrobe and more. Here's more:

On how the movie changed her closet: "Until recently, my closet was overwhelmed. It was an eclectic mess of everything I'd ever owned since I was young. I don't shop a lot, so I was surprised that I was a hoarder. I was inspired to get rid of everything. Some clothes had meaning. There'd be a cute little top I met my fiancé in, but I'm not going to wear it again. I've had a kid since then. It doesn't fit me. Things had to go."
On her character Becky's personality: "She's so different from me. She's so focused on the outside. She just loves clothes and she just loves life, and she wants to make the world more beautiful. How often do you read a comedy script with a woman in the lead, and she's actually a flawed, deluded character? And I was able to do physical comedy. It was a dream role."

Isla Will Just Have to Keep Fishing For Movie Roles

Isla Fisher looked hot in her short pink dress as she headed out into NYC after taping an appearance for Late Night With Conan O'Brien on Friday. Unfortunately, the movie may have been a victim of poor timing despite Isla's charm. Confessions of a Shopaholic only finished in fourth for its opening weekend, but hopefully adorable Isla still managed to win over a few viewers, critics and of course shopaholics who want her wardrobe.

Isla Is Ready to Walk Down the Aisle With Sacha

Isla Fisher sported some huge earrings and nautical stripes for the February issue of Allure. The cover girl was on the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday, but now it's time to start promoting Confessions of a Shopaholic. She opens up about the movie, hitting the stores, her wedding to Sacha Baron Cohen, converting to Judaism and more. Here are highlights:

On Sacha and getting married: "[He's] mysterious and interesting [...] We are going to get married, even more so now than ever. It is very important to me to have a beautiful ritual celebrated with all my family and friends, and to feel part of the community. And when you are in the public eye, to keep that private and make it happen without it being really visible is really difficult."
On her own shopping style: "I’m a terrible shopper. I shop badly and hardly ever. I get in, I get out, with no pleasure."
On being compared to other famous redheads: "If Shopaholic is a hit, then it was Isla Fisher in the movie, and if it doesn’t work out, it was Amy Adams."
On Olive: "[The family I created with Sacha is] the thing that I am the most proud of. And that is thanks to him."

Isla always looks fabulous from the streets to the red carpet, so she does a great a job of hiding her distaste for shopping. Either way, we're even more excited to see her step out of her element to play fashion-obsessed Becky Bloomwood on the big screen.

Isla Gets Sexy and Reveals Her New Project With Amy Poehler

Isla Fisher shows some skin in the new issue of GQ as she continues to promote Confessions of a Shopaholic. The actress has already revealed that she plans on marrying Sacha Baron Cohen soon and now she opens up about working on a new script. She feels there is a lack of strong, funny, female movies and is writing a film called Groupies with Amy Poehler to help her cause. Here's more:

On the movie she's working on with Amy: "It’s about classic, overconfident dum-dums lusting after a band. There’s a restraining order against them, but they’re in total denial."
On her fiancé Sacha: "He’s always funnier than me."
On the rumors she was having difficulty converting to Judaism: "The entire story is ridiculous. I converted three years ago. [When the reporter revealed his partner was Jewish but he hadn't converted] I’m willing to do a circumcision here. Get me a sharp knife and some ice and you won’t even feel it. "

Isla may be humble about her comedic talent, but with her new movie and upcoming projects, it sounds like she'll be getting just as many laughs as Sacha in no time.

Olive Snuggles Up With Her Shopaholic Mom in NYC

Isla Fisher helped Olive walk carefully around JFK earlier this week when the twosome arrived for a few days of promoting Confessions of a Shopaholic. Isla looked proud and pretty showing off her movie on the red carpet at last night's premiere. Yesterday Olive braved the cold inside her super snug pink blanket - the same one she relaxed in when her mom was making the film last year. Olive may not remember her time spent on the set with Isla, but maybe she'll appreciate her days in NYC when she finally gets to see the movie for herself.

Isla and Hugh Take Their Confessions Overseas

Isla Fisher and her newly engaged costar Hugh Dancy posed together at the Confessions of a Shopaholic premiere last night in London before Isla headed to BBC Radio 1 this morning. Sacha Baron Cohen skipped the red carpet festivities again, but was close by to meet up for the after party. Isla looked great in her sparkling LBD yet her on-screen counterpart, Becky Bloomwood would have opted for something more colorful with her envy inducing wardrobe. We saw and loved the movie this weekend and although it wasn't a top spot at the box office, hopefully it will pick up momentum and do well overseas.

Claire and Hugh Take Their Newly-Engaged Glow Around Town

Claire Danes and her new fiancé Hugh Dancy were hand-in-hand for a walk in NYC yesterday afternoon. She wasn't showing off an engagement ring, but that smile has more than enough sparkle to show off her happiness. It's a big time for Hugh too - on top of acquiring a wife-to-be, his Confessions of a Shopaholic hits theaters tomorrow. While promoting the film Hugh even spoke about workplace relationships which is interesting since he meet his fiancé on-set in the movie, Evening. Hugh said:

Work-based romance? As long as it’s legal, I think it’s okay. . . We’ve all had our own share of work-based romance I expect. I think as long as there’s actually some romance in it, as long as that’s not just a euphemism for something else entirely, it’s probably a good thing.

It was certainly a good thing for this couple who have gone from costars to a couple who look happily ready to take the next step in life together.
