ABC Upfronts

Grey's Anatomy is doing so well for ABC that they are moving the show to Thursday nights in the fall. We enjoyed the finale although nothing really surprised us about the ending. Also, as an FYI, Chris O'Donnell is returning to the show in the fall but we're not sure how long. What does this mean? It looks like the love triangle will continue between McDreamy, Meredith and Finn.

ABC was one of the first to allow episodes to be purchased online which is brilliant. Now they are working on a way to solve the repeat issue. Now onto the new fall schedule. So what is taking Grey's Sunday night slot? How about the new Calista Flockhart, Balthazar Getty, Rachel Griffiths promising new drama called Brothers and Sisters. Also looking very interesting is the Thursday night show post-Grey's show called Six Degrees which is produced by JJ Abrams. Stay tuned for reviews later this summer as we gear up for the new season.

BROTHERS & SISTERS
After the patriarch of a large but scattered family dies unexpectedly, the children must work to balance their personal lives with family business, including the trials of raising an autistic child. Former Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart leads an ensemble cast that includes Dave Annable, Betty Buckley (Eight is Enough), John Pyper Ferguson, Balthazar Getty, Gage Golightly, Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under), Jonathan LaPaglia, Sarah Jane Morris, Jimmy Pinchak, Ron Rifkin, and thirtysomething Emmy winner Patricia Wettig

DAY BREAK (midseason)
A police detective accused of shooting the state attorney tries to prove his innocence after being framed for a crime he did not commit. Taye Diggs (Kevin Hill), Adam Baldwin, Meta Golding, Moon Goodblood, Victoria Pratt, and Ramon Rodriguez star.

MEN IN TREES
During a speaking engagement in Alaska, a relationship coach and successful author (Anne Heche) discovers that her fiance is cheating on her. After canceling the wedding, and getting caught in an Alaskan snowstorm, she begins to enjoy her new surroundings and decides to stay there. Abraham Benrubi (ER), Suleka Mathews, Derek Richardson, James Tupper, and former Good Times dad John Amos co-star.

THE NINE
Nine people face an unexpected twist of faith after they are all held hostage in a 52-hour standoff during a botched bank robbery attempt. Chi McBride (Boston Public), Timothy Daly (Wing), and Scott Wolf (Everwood, Party of Five) lead the ensemble cast.

SIX DEGREES
Six strangers living in New York City become friends after eventually meeting again through a mysterious web of happenstance and coincidence. The cast includes Erika Christensen, Hope Davis, Jay Hernandez, Dorian Missick, Bridget Moynihan, and Campbell Scott. Lost and Alias creator J.J. Abrams in an executive producer.

TRAVELER (midseason)
After two well-educated friends pull a stunt by rollerblading at a famous New York museum, they are accused of being terrorists when the museum is bombed. Matt Bomer, Steven Culp (Desperate Housewives), Viola Davis, Logan Marshall-Green, and Aaron Stanford star.

BETTY THE UGLY
An oversized square peg is hired as the assistant for the new head of a top fashion magazine because she is one of the few women he will probably not hit on. Repulsed at first, Betty will win him over with her intelligence and efficiency. The cast includes Alan Dale, America Ferrera, Mark Indelicato, Ashley Jensen, Eric Mabius, Becki Newton, Ana Ortiz, Tony Plana, and recent South Beach star Vanessa L Williams

BIG DAY
The meticulous planning of the wedding of a young couple is broken down in 22 episodes (or less, of course, if there is no audience). Josh Cooke, Kurt Fuller, former Just Shoot Me star Wendie Malick, Steve Rannazzisi, Miriam Shor, Marla Sokoloff, and Stephnie Weir star.

HELP ME HELP YOU
Former Cheers/Becker Ted Danson heads back to the world of sitcoms in this single camera, half-hour comedy about people in the same therapy group. Jere Burns (Dear John), Charlie Finn, Suzy Nakamura, Darlene Hunt and Jim Rash co-star.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (midseason)
Four friends in theirs 30s, who have not seen each other since their high school days, are reunited for different reasons in a hospital emergency room. The cast includes former Full House/Summerland star Lori Loughlin, Jonathon Silverman, David Arquette, Greg Germann, Kelly Hu, and Nicholas Roget-King.

LET'S ROB
In the wake of a co-worker's death, an aging janitor (Donal Logue) recruits a group of misfits for a heist to finance his dreams of opening a bar. The cast also includes Josh Grisetti, Maz Jobrani, Koji Kataoka, Kevin Michael Richardson, Lenny Venito, and Sofia Vergara. Mick Jagger guest stars in the pilot.

NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY
After a woman who is dead-set on not having children finds out she is expecting, she and her husband try to keep it a secret from their friends. Jennifer Westfeldt, Peter Cambor, Rachel Harris, and Michael Weaver star.

GREG BEHRENDT'S WAKE-UP CALL (midseason)
The acclaimed author and upcoming syndicated talk show host will address one couple's major issues and use his knowledge of relationships to give them the tools to fix theirs.

JUST FOR LAUGHS (midseason)
Practical jokes, hidden cameras and a few unsuspecting victims will be the focus of this Candid Camera like comedy/reality series.

SET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE (midseason)
In this game show with a relationship twist, contestants play for the opportunity to receive a monthly check in an undisclosed amount for the rest of his or her lives.

Desperate Housewives Desperate Again

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Garrett announced the 58th annual Primetime Emmy award nominations this morning and the big talk is all about how the Desperate Housewives and Lost were left out of the best series nominations. In fact, the only housewife to get a nom was Alfre Woodard. As for those who were Academy favorites this year, 24 got 12 noms, Grey's Anatomy got 11 and Will & Grace received 10. Also kudos to Lisa Kudrow for being nominated for The Comeback. Maybe now HBO will realize that was a show they should have held on to.

The Awards are scheduled to air Aug. 27 on NBC, with Conan O'Brien as host of the Shrine Auditorium ceremony. To see all of the nominees, read more

Clooney Talks Some Smack and Plays on the Internet

George Clooney got a little goofy for his Esquire photoshoot and interview. Beyond making funny faces with cutout eyes (remind anyone else of Claire's art on Six Feet Under?) he and the reporter had some fun with Google. In fact, not only does Clooney look at his fan sites, but he looks himself up on youtube, facebook groups, the whole nine yards. Also, he admits that he shaves his widow's peak. Just saying. Um, they even watch 2 girls 1 cup together - though Clooney doesn't last more than a few seconds. Here are highlights of what Clooney found:

On Fabio saying he would win in a fight: "Yeah, that's probably true. He's a big guy. There is a moment when you are actually in the argument and you're thinking, 'If I do get beaten down by Fabio, that will be far worse than the pain. I wouldn't shake that."
On a website calling him "gay, gay, gay": "No, I'm gay, gay. The third gay – that was pushing it."
On Rupert Everett calling the Oceans movies a "cancer" that are "destorying us": "Where did that come from? You kind of go, Dude, weren't you in Dunston Checks in?"
On a psychic who says he'll marry this year: "I think that wedding one is a bit ahead of its time."
On Brad Pitt: "Well, you know, if I was a girl and he was a girl, and I was a lesbian and he was a lesbian, I'd be all over him."

Always the jokester, but that's what we love about Clooney, right? We have high hopes for Leatherheads, but at least if it ends up being a bust he'll have a laugh about it and move on. Can you blame him, though? He's Clooney. He always wins.

PopSugar's Fall Favorite TV Picks

Tonight some of our favorite shows are returning and since Fall TV is officially here, enjoy my list of favorite new shows to watch. Sorry I am a bit late but considering Buzz has already dished on all her picks including, 5 to watch, 5 to skip and 5 she's on the fence with we know you have been very well informed already. The good news is Buzz and I agree on 4 out of her 5 to watch (sorry Reaper - we're just not that into you). The 4 shows we are obsessing over are Pushing Daises, Dirty Sexy Money, Chuck and Gossip Girl (the latter two brought to us by the genius Josh Schwartz who made our dreams come true).

Chuck was the first show I started crushing on. The adorable Zachary Levi as a geeky guy who gets pulled into an Alias-like life just instantly grabbed my attention.

However, even cuter than Chuck is an equally dorky guy named, Ned. The pie maker from the fairy tale show, Pushing Daisies, is literally the sweetest character on TV this fall. Unlike most gratuitous sex scenes and phrases on TV these days, this show has a great story line about a couple who can't even touch yet it's very heartwarming.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Dirty Sexy Money. Peter Krause from Six Feet Under is now a lawyer for one of the richest families in NYC. It's hard to not get sucked into the life of the rich and well, the richer.

Which then leads us to Gossip Girl. High school. Rich kids. Josh Schwartz. Beautiful clothes and hair. What more could you want in an hour of TV? We're two episodes in and already talking non-stop to our friends about Team Serena vs Team Blair.

While all my shows may have a theme of dreamy men or rich Manhattenites, it's way more than that. Just trust me. As for a favorite 5th. The jury is still out. I want to like Big Shots but the pilot was way cheesy so it doesn't make the cut. I also want to like Private Practice but based on last night's episode, we're not so sure it's gonna happen. We're holding out that Cashmere Mafia is the 5th show but I have yet to see the pilot so I can't officially add it to the list.... yet.

So much TV. So little time so remember to manage it appropriately and if you haven't already, print out BuzzSugar's detailed night by night Fall TV Guide. Trust me, it makes setting your TiVo way easier!

Dirty Sexy Premiere

One of the new shows I'm most excited about is without a doubt Dirty Sexy Money. It has everything I love on TV (mostly). A Baldwin? Check. A Sutherland? Check. Actors from favorite TV shows of the past? Check (Samaire Armstrong, aka Anna from The OC), check (Peter Krause, aka Nate from Six Feet Under). Scandal, intrigue, decadence, moral conundrums? Check, check, check, check. I can't wait - and last night's LA premiere of the show just makes me even more anxious for Wednesday! The young star of the show, Chloe Moretz, sure knows how to work a red carpet already, doesn't she?

Fox Finishes Up Upfronts Week! Yay!

Fox rounded out the week of Upfronts with their party to announce the new fall schedule. Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose's (from Six Feet Under, the finale of which I have still not recovered) new show, The Return of Jezebel James, does not look nearly as funny as it should considering the cast, but I have hope. Rashida Jones from The Office was also there to introduce her new pilot, which is expected to be a midseason replacement. We'll see what that means for her in Scranton (more on that later). The hilarious Spike Feresten was also around to celebrate his "TalkShow." Happy it's renewed, but Fox should really give it a better timeslot! Check out clips from a bunch of the new shows here! We love our Sunday night comedy dose, but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate HBO's more serious side. A Slutty Hilton Halloween

Nicky Hilton is working hard to get over Kevin by getting wasted and making out in public. So classy. The heiress went all out at the Playboy Mansion Halloween party to slut it up like her sister usually does. Sounds like people are starting to get sick of the duo. Page Six reports:

THE Hilton sisters were the main attraction at the Playboy Mansion Halloween party. Paris did her usual routine, dancing on a table and lip-syncing as her single, "Stars Are Blind," played. "The reaction is now always the same - her posse of sycophants surrounds her, cheering her, as most people groan," said our witness. "This is really getting old." Nicky provided her own show on the dance floor, "being bent over backwards against the stage by a height-challenged young man as she wrapped a leg around his hip and they played tonsil hockey. She later spent an hour crawling under the tables (apparently) looking for a lost purse. When upright, she was stumbling all over . . . as she was fondled everywhere but the bottoms of her feet by the little 'dance' partner .
