Hilary Duff flashed a smile for the camera with Josh Peck and Olivia Thirlby at The Wackness premiere during the LA film festival last night. Hilary has a new movie of her own to start working on, she has just signed on to the star-studded cast of Stay Cool. Hilary will play a high school teenager who flirts with an older alumnus, which sounds like it should fit right in with the former teen queen's new mature persona.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt arrived back in LA after a quick trip to the East Coast. While the happy couple stayed occupied smiling for the cameras and twittering away, we got to watch Spencer's sweet, "official" proposal to Heidi, complete with a ring on The Hills last night. Meanwhile, there was the usual dose of gossipy lunch sessions, hot outfits, cool gadgets, and flawless hair and makeup.

Kate Hudson smiled big and concentrated on her stroke playing tennis in LA on Monday. We haven't seen as much of Kate with a tennis racket as when she was dating Lance Armstrong, but these days Kate is back to playing singles. Her latest romance with Owen Wilson has cooled off again, supposedly because he wanted to settle down and she wasn't ready.

Robert Downey Jr. arrived at LAX yesterday, hand-in-hand with his wife Susan. He's still looking cool, young and all cleaned up, and apparently his wife agrees as she showed some affection in the security line. He's enjoying some down time in LA with a shopping trip with his son and a Lakers game before filming begins on Iron Man 2 in April.

Adorable Isla Fisher and Olive were spotted at LAX trying to go incognito behind an umbrella and some cool shades. Gotta love a baby in sunglasses. Little Olive is still one of our favorite celebrity babies, even if she has some cute competition from the new additions this year.

A polka-dotted Lauren Conrad stepped out in LA last night with her mini Chanel on her arm and BlackBerry in hand. As LC stays busy in real time, her personal life on The Hills got shaken up this week with Audrina moving out of the house. The situation was less catty than what we expected, and Audrina even blogged that Lauren was very cool about everything.

Gwyneth Paltrow headed to the market in London yesterday with Apple in her arms to help pick out a few things. Apple is looking so grown-up with her blond hair, and it seems like she's already developing a love for food, just like her mom. Hopefully Apple and Moses will also inherit their mom's even temper — their dad Chris Martin lost his cool yet again recently when an interviewer brought up Brad Pitt.

Before partying for Nick Cannon's birthday earlier this week, he and Mariah got to work filming her new music video for "I Stay in Love" in Las Vegas. Mariah had no problem rocking teeny shorts and a tank top to keep cool in the desert heat as Nick played both director and supportive husband. Between those boots and hot car, it seems like we can expect another typically steamy video from Mariah.

Naomi Watts and a friend took baby Alexander out for a walk in Brentwood before shopping at The Right Start in Santa Monica yesterday. Naomi may be an older mother, but she's staying active and fit as her baby bump continues to grow. Alexander is also getting so big and graduating to a cool new high chair — which will probably make for a nice hand-me-down once the newest family addition arrives.

Justin, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Charlize are just a few of the A-list celebs that came out to Condé Nast's Fashion Rocks concert at Radio City Music Hall on Friday night. The annual event helps kicks off NY Fashion Week and this year it also helped support Stand Up To Cancer. Beyonce debuted her $5 million 18-karat engagement ring before taking the stage in dazzling gold to perform with JT.
