Hilary Duff Smiles and Stays Cool
Hilary Duff flashed a smile for the camera with Josh Peck and Olivia Thirlby at The Wackness premiere during the LA film festival last night. Hilary has a new movie of her own to start working on, she has just signed on to the star-studded cast of Stay Cool. Hilary will play a high school teenager who flirts with an older alumnus, which sounds like it should fit right in with the former teen queen's new mature persona.

The star-studded VH1 Divas kicked off last night at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and new diva-inductees like Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Miley Cyrus, and Kelly Clarkson walked the red carpet in their glamorous gowns. Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port looked gorgeous and sparkly, and we'll have more on LC's possible LA Candy movie deal later. Miley weighed in on the Taylor/Kanye incident, calling him out as disrespectful.

The Huntington Library was bursting with celebrities from all three networks who mixed and mingled at the gorgeous venue. Heidi Klum had an outing with her pint-sized entourage in NYC on Thursday. Leni stayed cool in her little pink swimsuit, getting a push on the swings from mom. Johan was too cute getting a shoulder ride while Henry stayed occupied with a video game.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt arrived back in LA after a quick trip to the East Coast. While the happy couple stayed occupied smiling for the cameras and twittering away, we got to watch Spencer's sweet, "official" proposal to Heidi, complete with a ring on The Hills last night. Her latest romance with Owen Wilson has cooled off again, supposedly because he wanted to settle down and she wasn't ready.

Robert Downey Jr. arrived at LAX yesterday, hand-in-hand with his wife Susan. He's still looking cool, young and all cleaned up, and apparently his wife agrees as she showed some affection in the security line. He's enjoying some down time in LA with a shopping trip with his son and a Lakers game before filming begins on Iron Man 2 in April.

A polka-dotted Lauren Conrad stepped out in LA last night with her mini Chanel on her arm and BlackBerry in hand. As LC stays busy in real time, her personal life on The Hills got shaken up this week with Audrina moving out of the house. The situation was less catty than what we expected, and Audrina even blogged that Lauren was very cool about everything.
