The Nottie Is Hotter Than Well, The Hottie

Last night was the LA premiere of Paris Hilton's new movie, The Hottie and The Nottie. We've been seeing her make the promotional rounds including a night out with her co-star, Christine Lakin, in full costume with her not hot makeup. Christine finally got to come out of character last night and one up Paris - she looks amazing in her bright shiny satin dress. Hilton on the other hand, well let's just say we would have worn this look differently, but she did score the hunk so who am I to talk. Paris got a huge hug from her documentary BFF Adrian Grenier but the real test will be at the box office this weekend. Unfortunately for Paris, based on the 100 screen distribution deal we're pretty sure this won't crack the top 10.

Paris in the City of Brotherly Love

Paris Hilton headed to a mall in Philadelphia yesterday to do some promotional work for her upcoming movie The Hottie and the Nottie. She played with one of our favorite toys, the fabulous Flip camcorder while she chatted it up with local radio stations. Paris also met lots of screaming fans, and when asked about her appeal, she said, "I think maybe it's because I'm real. People can relate to me. They see things that have happened in my life. And that I'm sweet. I feel that when you truly are a good person, it will shine through in your eyes - shine through from your heart to your eyes - and people will see that. Princess Diana, who I love, she had that."

Somehow, "real" isn't the first word that comes to mind when we think of Paris, but we do give her credit for heading to the mall to meet fans instead of hitting the stores.

The Hottie and the Nottie - Love It or Leave It?

2007 wasn't exactly the best year for Paris, what with her jail time and all, but that only leaves room for improvement in 2008. Next year she'll attempt to show off more of her acting skills and we've got the trailer for her next movie, The Hottie and the Nottie. Paris Lands The Cover of Newsweek, Perhaps it's a Desperate Attempt to Increase Newsstand Sales

While Paris may be really trying hard with this serious actor thing, she has still managed to bump and grind her way onto the cover of Newsweek. However, the article isn't commending her film work. The magazine's cover story, which accompanies a cover shot of Paris and Britney with the title Girls Gone Wild, poses the question of whether girls like Paris, Britney, and LL are poisoning our nation's youth and turning our 12-year olds into prosti-tots. Ultimately, the writers can't seem to answer their own question, but Paris is probably just psyched that she made the cover of Newsweek.

Paris is Ready for her Close-Up

By this point, I'm sure you're used to Paris Hilton The Serious Female Actor and are patiently awaiting the premiere of her first Serious (with a capital S, natch) movie, nay, film, The Hottie and The Nottie. This epic will surely bring our blonde celebutant into the highest echelons of acting and she will soon be sitting alongside the Streeps and Hepburns of the world at award shows for years to come. Which is why, of course, it's so shocking to hear that she may be (but maybe not!) acting like a bratty brat on the set. Here's more:

Paris Hilton, supposedly has been late arriving on the set of "The Hottie and the Nottie," and had trouble learning her lines. "Everyone is really fed up with her right now," said our tipster.

But producer Hadeel Reda told Page Six: "Paris has never been more than 15 minutes late. Everything is memorized. She's been very professional."

Hilton has been studying with Ivana Chubbuck, one of the top acting coaches in Hollywood, Reda said. "I think people are going to be shocked at how good she is."

Especially considering people are probably expecting her to spend the entire film dancing like an idiot, pulling down her top and spewing racial slurs. Nowhere to go but up. By the way, Ivana Chubbuck may be the best name for an acting coach ever.

Paris Finally Sues Paris Exposed

It was only a matter of time until Paris would get pissed and want her stuff back. She filed a federal lawsuit today against ParisExposed.com. Apparently Paris thought her moving company was going to pay the bill for her storage unit and was totally shocked when they put her very personal items up for sale. Here's more:

"I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters' private personal belongings for commercial gain," Hilton said in a declaration supporting the lawsuit, adding she was concerned the information could be used for identity theft or harassment.

The lawsuit alleges defendants Nabil and Nabila Haniss paid $2,775 for the contents of the storage unit and later sold the items for $10 million to entrepreneur Bardia Persa, who created the site ParisExposed.com.

Hilton's publicist Elliot Mintz said that she would like the site shut down and "would like all of these items returned to her."

It almost makes you feel sorry for the girl. Well sort of. She was stupid enough to tape herself doing drugs and parading around naked all the time. Besides why did she let it get to this point. Paris Hilton Brings Her Hottie/Nottie Track Suit to NYC

Paris Hilton was all-coordinated in her black and bubble gum pink velour track suit arriving at JFK this early morning after taking the red eye from LA. She looked pretty chipper for just getting off a long flight, but something tells me she wasn't cramped back in coach for the ride. After a big week of partying at Sundance and spending her Sunday night at her new favorite spot, LA lesbian bar Falcon, Paris is showing no signs of slowing down yet. In fact, this is probably the start of a few solid weeks of promoting The Hottie and The Nottie. Not that we need any reminding to run out and see that cinematic gem.

Paris Loves Playing Hockey, Doesn't Care About the Money

Paris Hilton wasn't afraid to chow down hard on the pizza at The Hottie And The Nottie premiere after party in LA last night. Yum. Miss Hilton is in the middle of a full on publicity blitz for her movie which only opens on 100 screens this weekend, including her tame Letterman sit-down and an interview in this week's Parade Magazine. In it she reveals that she'd rather be rich than famous and that she has super secret hockey skills. Huh, how about that. Here are highlights:

On what her mom taught her: "That was definitely the way that we were raised by my mom. She always taught us to be polite. We had the best manners, so I’ve kept them...'Put your shoulders back and don’t chew gum.' My mom has always been really supportive. She’s one of my best friends. And she’s just always told me to stay the same and stay the sweet girl I’ve always been since I was little and not let any of the Hollywood stuff get to my head, and you’ll leave a good karma."
On being one of the 'bad girls': "Yeah, you know, that’s just a stereotype they’ve come up with. And that’s fine, but I’m not a bad girl [laughs]...I handle it really well. I don’t let that bother me or let the media or paparazzi take over my life. I try not to pay attention to things that are negative."

On being a hottie/nottie: "I think we’re humans. All girls feel like a "nottie" some days-like someone who isn’t turning heads. That’s just part of life. I just get a facial or a massage. Pampering yourself gets you back into "hottie"-ness...You only live once, and you want to make it as best a life you can have. And I feel like, if people are confident and believe in themselves, that they can all be "hotties." If you’re single and you want to go dating and have fun and be young and whatever, just go and get a makeover."
Rich vs. Famous: "I think it would be better just to be rich, because then you don’t have to deal with anything else. You can just have everything you want and not have to deal with the press and people following you...But being rich doesn’t even matter, either. I have both, and it doesn’t even make any difference. I could be happy if I had nothing. So it’s not, it’s not really about money to me."
On her secret skills: "I’m really good at ice hockey. I’ve been playing since 10th grade, and people don’t know that I play defense in hockey. I like to check people, push people down...And I love fishing. I like to catch them, but I don’t eat them. I just put them right back, because I feel bad for them."

She also says she has plans to guest star on The L Word, so maybe she was just doing research in NY last week. I guess this means the acting thing is still going strong with Miss P - you know, not that it matters at all if she's rich...or famous...

It's Not the Oscars, But Paris Cleans Up at the Razzies

Paris Hilton was typically decked out on Saturday night for a meal at Mr. Chow after she spent the afternoon hobnobbing with pals at Barry Diller's pre-Academy Awards bash. The weekend was full of Oscars mania, but Paris ended up taking home some statues of a very different kind. She won three Razzies, accomplishing the impressive feat of winning both Worst Actress for The Hottie and the Nottie and Worst Supporting Actress for Repo! The Genetic Opera. Paris seems to take criticism in stride and maybe staying off the nominee list in future years could be a good goal for her acting career.

Paris the Actress Strikes Again

Paris and Benji Madden are pretty attached at the hip these days, so it's no surprise they made a big show of holding hands after grabbing lunch in Beverly Hills yesterday. A new boy isn't the only good thing that's happening for Paris - she landed another acting gig. She'll be making a guest appearance on My Name is Earl on April 3. The executive producer joked, "When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role... But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton." Hmm, "relatively unknown," more like guaranteed headline news. Maybe playing herself will be better than her not so stellar performance in The Hottie and the Nottie.
