Only the strong have survived our Pop 100 competition so far, and the matchups are only getting tougher as time goes on. Songbirds Beyonce and Carrie Underwood are head to head in round three, and Beyonce is in a lead though it's a tough call between the beautiful starlets. Beyonce had a big year that included her double album and recently scored a box office hit with Obsessed while Carrie Underwood continued to burn up the country music charts and won a Grammy.

Beyonce Knowles smiled while walking through JFK on Saturday on her way to Croatia. She kicked off her tour last night, but her success wasn't limited to her music career this weekend. Her new film Obsessed debuted at the top spot in the box office.
Jessica Really Appeals to the Teens
Apparently Jessica and Cash didn't have time to take advantage of being in Paris after Eva and Tony's wedding, because the two were at the airport on their way out yesterday morning. And don't they just look thrilled as usual (though I'm loving her coat)? Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer may have been a bit overshadowed by the other Summer blockbusters, but the Teen Choice Awards committee took notice and nominated Jessica for 3 awards: Hissy Fit, Female Hottie, Action Adventure Actress.
Nominated Tom Is Looking to Star Alongside Katie in a Musical
The Cruise family was bicoastally divided yesterday with Katie and Suri shopping in NYC while Tom stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live in LA. The two will just have to celebrate Tom's Golden Globe nomination when they're back in the same place. Ever the friendly celebrity, Tom stopped to sign some autographs, but unfortunately one fan got a little overzealous last month, and Tom was just granted a restraining order.
Vanessa & Shirtless Zac Spend Their No. 1 Weekend on Hawaiian Holiday
While High School Musical 3 opened this weekend, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were already celebrating in Hawaii. The couple stole kisses at a wedding before taking a romantic stroll together on the beach. Most of you weren't planning on checking out the film, but apparently the masses didn't agree.

Katie Holmes kept right on her routine of rehearsing for All My Sons in NYC yesterday and today, and now she's less than a week away from the previewing the show starting on Sept. 18. We already know that Joshua Jackson plans on supporting his former costar, and she'll also get some love from her friend Jada Pinkett Smith, who said, "I am going to be there on opening night.
