Natalie Portman has been helping kick off the Tribeca Film Festival including stopping by the portrait studio earlier today. On Tuesday she made an appearance at the Film Fellows welcome dinner to preview a new website she's been working on called MakingOf.com, which shows the workings of the entertainment industry from the inside out. Between the events was Earth Day, which is big for one of our 15 favorite eco-loving celebs.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Debra Messing teamed up for the second time yesterday to attend the Tribeca Film Festival's Awards Night party in NYC. As a juror, Mary-Kate has been busy all week attending cinema-related events, but she's still made time to hang out with her fashion friends. She moved on from the bash with Debra to another one with Madonna, Jesus Luz, and her own boyfriend Nate.

Many of you want Hilary Duff to star in the 90210 spinoff but for now she's busy showing off her acting skills at the Tribeca Film Festival. We were hoping for a red carpet walk with her man, Mike who is in NYC with her, but, as expected, it was Haylie, who escorted her down the line. Buzz was there and she said Hilary was whisked away too quickly to ask about that crazy scorpion scene and unfortunately, the rain probably helped the quick appearance move right along but luckily there were some other fabulous folks to check out from War, Inc.

Woody Allen's latest film Whatever Works kicked off the Tribeca Film Festival last night. The film stars Evan Rachel Wood — who just joined the cast of True Blood — and Larry David as husband and wife, which is a bit of an unlikely duo. Mary-Kate Olsen wasn't the one making out with an older man on the big screen this time, but she was still out to support the festival and film.

Mary-Kate Olsen was out fulfilling her duties as a Tribeca Film Festival juror this morning at the Women's Filmmaker Brunch in NYC. MK looked hot in her Herve dress and leather jacket. Instead of her usual sidekick Nate Lowman, Mary-Kate was joined by Debra Messing, Julianna Margulies, Parker Posey, and a few of the festival's organizers.

The event was all about Matthew's work, but conversation steered toward her upcoming Sex and the City sequel. Despite rumors that Chris Noth was slow to come on board, she was happy to confirm that he has officially joined the cast.

The Tribeca Film Festival rolls on and last night was another fabulous party, this time hosted by Chanel. Not too shabby. Mary-Kate Olsen actually looked pretty cute (yay) and more good news is that Buzz enjoyed her movie at the festival, The Wackness.

Selma and Minnie were just a few of the ladies who attended the women's filmmaker brunch at Soho House during the Tribeca Film Festival. Selma is fresh from the premiere of Purple Violets and looked amazing in her one shoulder white hot dress. She's quite a contrast to Minnie's dark denim look.

Mary-Kate Olsen continued to make the rounds at the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday, looking gorgeous in Nina Ricci and Topshop at a Chanel event at Odeon restaurant in NYC. Joining her was a scruffy Adrien Brody and the always fashion-forward Diane Kruger — whose outfit did you like more? MK is a juror at the film festival this year, and last night she talked about how excited she is, saying,
"I wish there was a class.

Robert De Niro's Tribeca Film Festival opened last night in an unconventional way. Al Gore hosted the event, which began with 9 short films about the environment in lieu of a full-length, big name movie like Spiderman-3 (which will premiere later on at Tribeca). The films are produced by SOS (Save Our Selves), which works towards raising awareness about global warming and climate change.
