America Ferrera pulled on Betty's neon coat to film scenes for Ugly Betty with Michael Urie in NYC yesterday. We weren't treated to a new episode last week, but we'll get a fresh batch of drama at Mode magazine tonight. America's hard work has earned her a nomination for a SAG award, so hopefully the actress will make it to the show for another fabulous award season red carpet.

Lindsay Lohan tried out Samantha's trademark smirk while posing at the Ultimat Vodka Launch in NYC last night, LL's third party of the evening in addition to the Stand Up For a Cure event and Maire Claire bash. After the long night, Lindsay was right back to shooting scenes for Ugly Betty this morning, though the seven-year anniversary of 9/11 was not far from her and Samantha's thoughts. Both girls blogged about it — Lindsay reminding people to take a moment to reflect while Samantha recounted her experience being in NYC during the tragic event.

After her whirlwind week ending at the VMA afterparty, we missed spotting Lindsay Lohan with Samantha at the MySpace/TechCrunch party on Monday, but it wasn't because LL was taking a rest — instead she's already back in NYC working on Ugly Betty. She was rocking a flashy outfit to go with her super long extensions on set with America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams yesterday. Lindsay told Marie Claire that she's never going back to her old ways, and the committed actress will be a welcome addition when the full Fall lineup returns.

Lindsay Lohan looked like she could be a sailor in her nautical blue and white stripes in SoHo and later on the set of Ugly Betty joined by Samantha and Dina yesterday. Samantha just got back from a quick trip to Australia where she blogging about missing a certain someone, while LL kept herself busy with work and sharing her political thoughts and music she doesn't like. Speaking of work, Lindsay won't be topless in Playboy anytime soon but her Labor Pains trailer arrived and we're very excited to see her funny on the big screen again.

Lindsay Lohan took a break from filming Ugly Betty in NYC yesterday to unwind with cigarettes and Samantha in NYC after the massive amount of drama that her father has been fueling in the past couple of days. After LL lashed out at him on her MySpace blog, her father answered back, blaming Dina for his suspicions about Samantha and saying that he's already got a TV special in the works to expose Dina for being a hypocrite. Here's a taste of what he wants to say:

She seemed happy to be back to work, but her personal life is still a little rocky. Lindsay and America may not be BFFs on TV considering how LL's character treated Betty in the season finale, but luckily in real life the two girls have no need to battle since they're both favorites with spots — Lohan at No. 32, America No.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson made time for some on-street cuddling last Friday in NYC before heading out to the Hamptons for the weekend. Today, Lindsay was back in the city on the set of Ugly Betty, where she'll be filming for the next couple days. No on-location visits from Sam this time, but this weekend the talked-about duo is rumored to be in Syracuse, NY, where Samantha has a DJ gig.

Lindsay Lohan may not have had a normal high school experience, but she's getting ready to go back to gym class in the season finale of Ugly Betty. Here's a first look at LL in her guest-starring role, which involves an already hilarious-looking flashback to a high school scene when Lindsay was the class mean girl who harassed Betty. Between Lohan dodgeball and Naomi Campbell up at bat, this is shaping up to be one big-time finale on May 22, but hopefully we don't lose our favorite Mode characters in all the star cameos.
