Natalie Portman Talks Sex and Nudity in V Magazine

Natalie Portman rocks a pompadour for a stylized shoot in the Winter's V Magazine, which hits newsstands today. She made her directorial debut this year with New York, I Love You, but in this issue Natalie chats about Brothers, her first on-screen sex scene, and how she hopes to maintain her youthful appearance without going under the knife. Here's more:

On why she waited to do a sex scene: "I was figuring out my own sexual identity, likes and dislikes and all that stuff, and it's weird to be doing stuff on film as you're figuring it out. Also being a sexual object when you're a kid is really uncomfortable. After The Professional, I was already getting creepy letters. It's annoying because online bullsh*t interferes with what I want to do artistically. I'm not opposed to sexuality or nudity in a film, but I'm very opposed to pornography sites and you're pretty much giving them material if you do any of that. It's always a big dilemma for me."
On keeping her personal life personal: "The formative time of my public image happened before there was Facebook, Twitter, all of those gossip sites. I had my own drunken nights and dating a million people, but there wasn't that attention then."
On maintaining beauty: "You see people who were stars five years ago and already they're waning. As actresses approach 40, it starts becoming really, really difficult."
On being successful: "To be successful you need the desire to be successful. Ambition can be a dirty word, but it's pretty much more important than anything."

Kate Moss Lives Like a Glamorous Nomad For V Magazine

Kate Moss let her hair down for a free-flowing photo shoot in September's V Magazine, which is out on Tuesday. The supermodel apparently lived in the gypsy community for two days while photographer Iain McKell shot the spread in Cornwall, England. This week Fab had a look at Kate's newest line for Topshop, which features some of the bohemian pieces she is known for. Kate already scored a trio of covers this month and it looks like she can add another glamorous shoot to the list as she expands her empire, which has more than a few celebrity fans.

Gisele Bundchen Shows Off Some Denim Basics

In another super revealing photo shoot, Gisele Bundchen stripped down to the bare minimum for the Fall issue of V Magazine. We knew these photos were coming - but wow, we didn't think it could get any steamier than her GQ spread. As hot as she looks on the cover, in the article Gisele assures us that it's just a role that she plays while also discussing fashion, success, and the rumors about her. Here are highlights:

On her personal style: "I work in fashion but I’m not really a fashion person. I don’t follow trends. I couldn’t tell you which designer made that shoe or that bag. I like jeans. I like comfortable clothes. I’m all for feeling good in what you wear. I don’t do shows anymore, so I don’t even know who is doing what now. I do my job, which is to make the clothes look like they’re supposed to, and to interpret what the photographer, designer, and stylist want in a picture."
On how modeling is playing a role: "Yes, look at these pictures. This is Gisele-as-a-super-sexy-punk-rocker-in-ripped-everything. Do you think I would ever wear that? I’m a tomboy and I’m a goofball. Never in my life would I wear anything close to those clothes. After the shoot I take the clothes off, go home, and do whatever I want. For me it’s just a job."
On her success: "I’m a fortunate person. This job has given me a lot of opportunities-I speak five languages, know half the world, meet very interesting people, and I’m 27 years old and financially independent. So I’m not going to spit on the plate that feeds me. When I go to a job people are relying on me. Everyone-from the hair person to the caterer to the stylist-is there to do a job, and if I screw it up I’m screwing up twenty people’s day. That’s not fair. Who am I to do that? I just do what is expected of me and become the persona they want. When I’m there I’m not Gisele-’cause believe me I have opinions about everything-I’m a canvas. I’ve accepted that."

On what people think of her: "People will always have an opinion. Some people look at me and say, 'I can’t believe this girl is even working. She should be a cleaning lady.' And then another will say I’m beautiful. If I’m too concerned that one thinks I’m not worth a penny or the other thinks I am, where does that leave me? At the end of the day, it’s about what those people think about themselves. That catwalk wasn’t about me."
On the rumors she hears about herself, like starring in the next Austin Powers movie: "Oh yes. And I’m the new Bond girl. And I have a clothing line with Dolce & Gabbana. I don’t know where they get this stuff. I called Domenico and Stefano and said, 'Where are my clothes, guys?' They laughed. Same thing with Austin Powers-none of it’s true. And I didn’t ask to be paid only in euros. There was something about me demanding to be paid in euros, which is false. Most of the time, I don’t even know what’s going on."

Gisele may be a self-proclaimed goofball, but it sounds like she's also got a feisty streak in her. Guess we shouldn't be surprised that a model who can pull off photos this hot has some fire in her personality, too.

Gwyneth Comes Clean For V Magazine

Gwyneth Paltrow had some fun with eye makeup and a wind machine for the cover of the Summer issue of V Magazine. After seeing her looking so perfectly polished for all of her Iron Man red carpets, it's fun to see Gwyneth letting loose a little. In the article, Gwyn talks about everything from her career to her family to her eating habits. Here are highlights:

On working on Iron Man: "It was nice. It's great sometimes to go to work and think, Oh, we're just going to have fun. I wouldn't even know my lines because when we'd get there, Robert [Downey Jr.] would change everything. There was a point when I would have been scared to work like that, but now I'm up for anything. As long as it doesn't involve working five days a week!"
On looking back on her 20s: "I wouldn't change anything. Even when I look back and think, Why did I do that or why did I date that person? Because ultimately all roads led me to where I am now. And it was incredibly fun-travelling the world, going to premieres, dressing up. It was just my life. I did it all the time. At certain points in more recent years, when I've been 30 pounds heavier and had milk dripping out of my boobs, it seemed like a fairy tale."

On her macrobiotic diet: "I was macrobiotic for about three or four years, but when I got pregnant with Apple I wanted french fries, grilled cheese, and yoghurt, so it kind of went out the window. I couldn't look at brown rice. It made me throw up. But being macrobiotic is basically about eating local, organic, seasonal food that isn't processed, and that's how I eat now, so it's not that different. I haven't eaten meat for about fifteen years. I eat fish, a little bit of dairy - not much milk - but I love cheese. We'll make chocolate chip cookies and eat them, but sugar makes me feel pretty bad. I have coffee and wine. I've got lots of lovely vices."
On being friends with Madonna: "I met Madonna when I was 22 or 23. I have other friends I've had longer and I have other friends that I see more, but through thick and thin she's a constant in my life. It's like we have some kind of karmic thing. She's a great woman. She's taught me a lot."

Gwyneth also revealed that she'll be taking time off from movies again after Two Lovers to work on her cookbook, but after the huge success of Iron Man we're hoping it won't be long before she signs on for another blockbuster.

Ashton Kutcher Strips Down and Gets Serious

Ashton Kutcher got poked and prodded in the Spring/Summer 2008 issue of VMan magazine. Apparently the "I'm not real" theme of the photoshoot was all his idea, and we wonder if it was his call to strip down to his skivvies, too - we know he's got underwear modeling experience under his belt, after all. In the article, Ashton talks about his happiness with Demi and being a reformed player. Here are highlights:

On the concept for the photoshoot: "I had a vision one day. I was watching one of those Gatorade commercials where they had a guy on a treadmill, and they're testing to see what his physical abilities are. I had this idea: what did the creator-God or whatever-make you for? Maybe we're all doing exactly what we're supposed to be doing, and we're all actually robots."
On getting around before settling down: "I had a serial-dating period. I was pretty abusive of my attributes for a while...My fame and my looks. I was pretty abusive to a lot of people. This movie [Spread] is kind of my way to say I'm sorry to a lot of girls I may have hurt by being disrespectful."

On his love scenes with Michelle Pfeiffer: "I don't think I've ever romanced an older woman. I've romanced a woman...If I had stepped back as myself and said, 'You're going to work today to make love to Michelle Pfeiffer,' that would freak me the f*ck out. I would have been like, 'Holy sh*t!' I would have had a really awkward time doing that. So I just approached it from within the character's world-just one character seeking comfort from another character, a compartmentalized existence that wasn't my own."
On living the sweet life: "My life is so far from domesticated. That is not a good definition of me at all. Demi and I play around the world, and that is awesome. I was just on the phone with my agent and he said to me, 'I don't know many people who have it as good as you have it.' And I don't know anyone who has it as good as I have it. I have a great spiritual foundation, an amazing career, a loving, supportive wife and family, I have a lot of friends, and I don't have any enemies. I don't know a lot of people who have what I have."

Sounds like Ashton's growing up and enjoying the good life. Of course, we have a feeling he still enjoys a good opportunity to play a prank whenever he can.

Gwen's a Gushing Mom

Gwen Stefani looks fierce with a smoldering stare in the March issue of V Magazine. Aside from the red lips, this is hardly the mom we've gotten used to seeing, but it's always fun to squeeze in one last photoshoot before that baby bump starts showing. In the article, Gwen sounds like a regular mom getting emotional when talking about Kingston. She said,

"I'm gonna start crying when I talk about this because it’s just so ... it's so intense. I put him to sleep at night and, you know, I'll be rocking him to sleep and he'll be playing with my hair and ... it's just the most amazing feeling in the world."

Aww, it sounds like Gwen is still a big softie on the inside even though she's looking like a fierce fashionista on the outside. Demi's Still Looking Like a Starlet

If Demi Moore is trying to prove that she's not too old to compete with Hollywood's young blood, she's definitely doing a good job of it by posing in a bikini for V magazine. She may have had "some" work done, but she looks pretty damn good and certainly not her age of 45. In the article, Demi talks about everything from her family to Britney to trying to keep up the appearance of looking young. Here are highlights:

On making her relationship with Ashton work: "It wasn't automatic or easy. It took diligence and effort and even enduring awkwardness, and a lot of general giving on my part and Bruce's part. And really, tremendously, on Ashton's part. Coming into my life, Ashton just wasn't meeting somebody that had baggage. You know, I had trunks!"
On her daughter, Rumer, attracting media attention: "It's a little bit scary. It's hard to say no to curious teenagers when exciting events or things are happening. You can't live in a bubble. A key thing, and I've said this before, is to try to help your children be good decision makers."
On Britney Spears: "No one has seen it worse than Britney Spears. How can anyone see that and think that's an okay way to expect anybody to live, no matter where they're at in their life?"

On her routine: "My normal day is, I get up with the kids, take them to school, a few days a week I might do Pilates, reading, meetings, and then we always do family dinner at 6:30."
On making her family work: "It's far more exhausting to be angry and blaming. You can dig deep within yourself and really have a desire for someone else's happiness, which I feel I do have for Bruce and he has for me. He has a joy and appreciation for what Ashton and I share, and for how Ashton is with the girls."
On Ashton holding his own in a house full of women: "I definitely can't answer for him but I think it certainly wasn't a difficult transition. Ashton's relationship with his own mother is really wonderful, so it made the transition to being with a woman with daughters something he didn't bat an eye at. It also says a lot about the confidence that he holds within himself as an individual."
On antiaging: "It's important not to get yourself obsessed, because it's a game you're going to lose. When people get too obsessed we start to see these faces that don't move and are so manipulated that there’s no life to them anymore. One of the most important things about antiaging is really in your thinking, it's what you believe. If you think you're old, feel that you're done growing, then you're going to have a stale life force around you. I've always enjoyed being childlike and placed an importance on being silly and playing and remembering not to take myself too seriously, because I certainly have in the past."

We've always been impressed at the great relationship Bruce, Demi, and Ashton seem to have, and it sounds like this mom really does have it all together. As for getting older, back in September Demi complained about ageism in Hollywood, but these covers are likely to draw the attention of a producer or two. If not, at least Ashton has something hot to hang up on his wall.

Miranda Kerr Bares a Lot in Bikinis, but Keeps Her Secret

Miranda Kerr hit the beach in St. Barts yesterday to pose at her latest bikini photoshoot for Victoria's Secret. She seems pretty comfortable stripping down to strike a pose, especially considering her recently-released racy set of photos for V magazine. Her boyfriend Orlando Bloom was by Miranda's side last month as she hit the catwalk during Paris Fashion Week, but he skipped this trip in order to attend Sunday's star-studded U2 show in LA.
