Well saturday (the big day) is nearly here. Today Lance was groomed to make sure he looks his best. Which is something he doesn't really like.

Thanksgiving is a busy day in every household and coming up with ways to entertain the children can require more energy than a cooking mama or papa has on reserve. Planning a simple arts and crafts project and setting up a table for scribbling, decorating and family bonding time will keep the tots occupied while the grown-ups cook, watch football, sip a glass of vino and prepare the big meal. Check out some of our favorite projects for a little artistic inspiration.

You know those mornings when you
hit the snooze 5 times and are running
late, hardly time to brush your teeth,
let alone time to wash and style your hair. Here
are a couple of tips to freshen, at least your hair,
for the day. (DO take the time ot brush your teeth).
Powder Your Roots
So your hairline does not look greasy: Dig up a big, fluffy makeup brush, or a big cottonball and dip it into a
pot of after shower powder/body talc. Tap it once on the back of your hand to remove the excess, then dust
it over your roots. It mops up oil and blends into your strands, so no one will know you didn't shower.
Scent Strands with Perfume
Spray a light shot of fragrance into the bristles and run it through strands from roots
to ends and your hair will smell amazing throughout the day.

My little one last night asked me to make Brussels sprouts and then proceeded to eat three helpings. This photo is from her early days as a veggie lover.

He was very alert at first...
...then he got a little tired. It was a big day for him!
I got a dog last night! I've been wanting one for a while, and everything just worked out well. I saw him on the shelter's website on Wednesday, went on Thursday and met him, went back on Friday to officially apply, and went for my last adoption consultation yesterday.

Just like everyone else, we’re obsessed with all things Twilight. So imagine our delight when we get to jet over to Vancouver, Canada, to watch the sequel being shot for ourselves! Here are all the behind-the-scenes secrets from the New Moon set (plus a few topless shots of the guys – well, we couldn’t resist)
1 During filming, Kristen was very serious about watching her scenes being played back.

We've all been there, those days when we're feeling really low, its our time of the month or we've just ate a ton and feel bloated and not so sexy. A lot of us turn to the internet to calculate our BMI, get healthy eating tips or to get some info on the latest exercise breakthrough. However we've disturbingly discovered the new internet sites that are feeding into our bad body image – and they are by no means pro anorexia sites.

What I find interesting about this is both how much has changed AND how much hasn't.
The Letter:

President Lyndon B Johnson
The White House
Washington D.C.
Dear Mr. President:
In this time of mourning and appreciating how very busy you are, I still must write about existing conditions here in East Texas, even if you are too busy to read this, because I feel it is my duty to do so.
