Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at next year’s (09) Super Bowl after months of rumors reporting the rock veteran will take center-stage at the event. Sprinsteen and his E Street Band is slated to headline the half-time show at the NFL showdown in Tampa Bay, Florida the most-watched musical showcase of the year, according to the organizers.
R&B talent Usher, had hoped his NFL season kick-off performance earlier this month would help him land the coveted Super Bowl half-time show.

I'm not the biggest fan of Bruce springsteen, but i love this song.
Hey, Eddie, can you lend me a few bucks
And tonight can you get us a ride
Gotta make it through the tunnel
Got a meeting with a man on the other side
Hey Eddie, this guy, he's the real thing
So if you want to come along
You gotta promise you won't say anything
'Cause this guy don't dance
And the word's been passed this is our last chance
We gotta stay cool tonight, Eddie
'Cause man, we got ourselves out on that line
And if we blow this one
They ain't gonna be looking for just me this time
And all we gotta do is hold up our end
Here stuff this in your pocket
It'll look like you're carrying a friend
And remember, just don't smile
Change your shirt, 'cause tonight we got style
Well Cherry says she's gonna walk
'Cause she found out I took her radio and hocked it
But Eddie, man, she don't understand
That two grand's practically sitting here in my pocket
And tonight's gonna be everything that I said
And when I walk through that door
I'm just gonna throw that money on the bed
She'll see this time I wasn't just talking
Then I'm gonna go out walking

We just got back from hanging out at Grumpy's Bar in Sun Valley, Idaho with Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen, Christy Turlington and Ed Burns!! We were sitting at our table, drinking Scooners (huge glasses that hold about three beers) and watching the Seattle Seahawks game. At the next table were Christy Turlington, Ed Burns and their daughter Gracey.

NEW YORK – Half the respondents of a new poll say taxing the richest Americans by at least 50 percent is a great idea, while more than a third consider Twitter a fad that will likely fade.
Those are among the findings of a new "60 Minutes"-Vanity Fair Poll released Sunday.
Nearly half of the respondents chose Wal-Mart as the institution that best symbolizes America today, leaving in the dust runners-up Google, Microsoft, the NFL, and the banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs.

NEW YORK – Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz risks losing the copyright to her images — and her entire life's work — if she doesn't pay back a $24 million loan due Tuesday.
The lender, Art Capital Group, sued Leibovitz in July claiming she breached an agreement that authorized it to act as the agent in the sale of her photography and real estate.
Leibovitz spokesman Matthew Hiltzik said Tuesday that the photographer was working to "resolve the situation."
