Chris Martin is amazed his band Coldplay have achieved international success - because he is convinced they’ve never produced anything “that good”.
The Speed of Sound hitmakers have released three albums to date - Parachutes in 2000, A Rush of Blood to the Head in 2002, and their last LP X+Y, which went to number one in countries including the U.K., U.S., Australia, France and Norway in 2005.
But despite the worldwide chart success, Martin still feels like an imposter in the music industry.

Coldplay has been sued by guitarist Joe Satriani in a copyright infringement case. Satriani claims the recent Coldplay hit “Viva La Vida” is a blatant rip off of his 2004 song “If I Could Fly.” The suit alleges that “substantial original portions” of his song were used in “Viva La Vida” and seeks profits and damages. Satriani hopes for a jury trial.

Lil Wayne is having a big year.
Not only did the rapper's album Tha Carter III go five times platinum, selling over five million copies, but on Wednesday, he was nominated for eight Grammy Awards, including the prestigious album of the year honors.
And the rapper will face off against British rockers Coldplay in that category, who followed closely behind, earning seven nominations.

Coldplay came up a big winner at Monday night's Q Awards in London. They also won Best Album for Viva la Vida, or Death and All His Friends. When Chris Martin accepted the award, he told the audience that Coldplay is "the greatest band in the world."

A Brooklyn-based band called Creaky Boards is accusing Chris Martin and Coldplay of stealing a melody from them.
They say that Coldplay's Viva La Vida is just a little too similar to their song called The Songs I Didn't Write. We can definitely hear the similarities, but it's not a total rip-off.

Coldplay is back with a vengeance with their first single Violet Hill off the new album, Viva La Vida or Death. And now they've released this awesome video to go with it!
They'll be performing Violtet Hill for the first time at the MTV Movie Awards on June 1st.

Along with Coldplay, songs by James Blunt, Snow Patrol, Norah Jones and Take That were also high up on the list.

Coldplay fans, get your lucky charms ready: The band is giving you a chance to win tickets to two free shows.
The rockers announced the free concerts at London's Brixton Academy on June 16 and Madison Square Garden on June 23 on their Web site. Details on how to win tickets can be found on their site starting Tuesday.

Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls will provide the musical entertainment – and preview their new music – at this year's MTV Movie Awards on June 1, the network has announced.
The British rockers will perform "Violet Hill," the first single from their forthcoming album, Viva La Vida (due June 17), while the Pussycat Dolls will unveil "When I Grow Up." The song is expected to appear on the band's sophomore album, due over the summer.
