He’s worked with Diane Keaton, Dianne Wiest, Judy Davis and of course Mia Farrow, so Woody Allen must know talent when he sees it. However, in a recent press event promoting his new film, “Vicky Christina Barcelona,” the iconic writer/director gushes about current obsession Scarlett Johansson, calling her “one of the great American actresses.” Hmm. Did I miss something?

About six weeks ago there was a story that ticket sales for Katie Holmes’ Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons were lower than expected. You would think that all photos out of Katie grinning maniacally while taking her daughter out past a two year old’s bedtime would help generate publicity and advance sales for the play, but it hasn’t helped. Katie Homes does not seem to be a big box office draw and sales are still low for the play.

Katie Holmes appears to be headed for an extended stay in New York City. She has apparently been in negotiations to take on a role in the Broadway play All My Sons. The Arthur Miller post World War II drama is a heartbreaking saga of the Keller family.

'DAN in Real Life" is the anti-Ben Stiller comedy: There's humiliation aplenty but no mugging, no abuse to the crotch region, no straining to be outrageous. One character says she's looking for something "not necessarily hahaha laugh-out-loud funny, something human funny," and that's what we get.
The title is the name of an advice column written by a widowed dad (Steve Carell) with three hip daughters who goes to an autumn family gathering at a Rhode Island cabin.

Buzz's post today about TV moments that make her cry made me wonder what movies make me cry the most.
I don't know if these are necessarily my top five, but they certainly do make me cry my eyes out.
