The producers of hit Fox TV drama “24″ are reportedly planning a two-hour TV movie ‘prequel’ to tide viewers over until the new season airs in the new year.
the Emmy-winning series, starring Kiefer Sutherland as maverick counterterrorism officer Jack Bauer, was among the biggest casualties of the Hollywood writers’ strike, with the show’s seventh season being put back from January this year to 2009. It had to be doubly disappointing to Sutherland, who spent most of January in a Los Angeles Jail after pleading no contest to drink-driving charges, in order to be free for scheduled shooting of the show.

When she was running for governor of Alaska in 2006, Sarah Palin reportedly said that even if her then-14-year-old daughter were raped, she would "choose life" and force her to bear a child. Comments like that that have endeared the fiery Alaskan politician to most pro-life voters, who lionized her for not aborting her Down's Syndrome baby. But Trig isn’t enough to protect Palin from a phalanx of anti-abortion activists who plan to protest her appearance on Thursday to promote her book in the conservative heartland of Indiana.

The Addams Family just got a new family member, baby Pubert. Wednesday and Pugsley are not too happy about the new addition. A nanny is hired to come and help the family, but the nanny, Debbie, is not there to take care of the children. She's there to get Uncle Fester, who happens to have a lot of money, to fall in love with her.

Crisis averted. After we fans got our first glimpse at True Blood season three earlier this week, there was widespread concern that werewolf Alcide Herveaux, a major fan fave character from the third book, would not be part of season three. Well, we caught up with True Blood boss Alan Ball last night, and he assures us that Alcide is present and accounted for in season three.
