Ellen Page Dating Frankie Muniz?

There may be a new young couple on the scene. Ellen Page has fueled speculation that she's dating Frankie Muniz after the two went out for a post-oscar breakfast.

The two were spotted grabbing a bite in West Hollywood Monday morning. Can't see these two together. Ellen seems like such a smart, cute girl, while Frankie reminds me of reruns of Malcolm In The Middle.

Shia LaBeouf talks about fame, privacy and the car accident

Shia LaBeouf’s conspiracy thriller “Eagle Eye” debuted at the top of the weekend box office with $29.2 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. After escaping the bad guys in Indiana Jones 4 this summer, he and co-star Michelle Monaghan are fleeing from something more mysterious in Eagle Eye, the new thriller from Steven Spielberg. The Paramount-DreamWorks release was the second No. 1 premiere for LaBeouf and director D.J. Caruso, who also teamed on 2007’s hit “Disturbia. In an interview with Parade.com, Shia talks about fame, the message of “Eagle Eye,” and even the car accident:

As a celebrity, you’re already used to giving up your privacy, aren’t you?

I kind of live in a fishbowl, but what people don’t realize is that I’m not the only one. The irony is they say to me, ‘I don’t know how you can deal with being followed and recorded everywhere you go.’ And while they’re saying that they may be getting recorded. Steven Spielberg expected people would stay away from the beach after they saw Jaws. Now he’s betting that people will take a second look at their cell phones after they see this movie.

How far fetched is it to think things like computers and cell phones can be used to invade our lives?

I tell you what got my attention. There was a CIA guy on the set who played back a cell phone conversation I’d had two years ago. It’s a tangible reality that one in five phone conversations you have is recorded, that your ADT security box in your home can be activated and used against you and OnStar in your car could allow somebody to shut your car down on the freeway. Big Brother is invading our lives because we’ve allowed him to and that’s terrifying.

But aren’t we all hooked on the convenience of new technologies?

I’m as geeky as most in my generation. I think that you have to learn how to use technology in today’s age. It’s sort of like using your hands. If you want to succeed in any career, you need to know how to use technology. It’s become like a mandatory thing whatever the down side. I guess I’m most attached to my X-Box. I like video games a lot.

You survived a serious car accident and really hurt your hand. What happened?

I just remember a car coming at me really fast and then my truck flipped twice. I had my arm out the window which is how my fingers got crushed. It was pretty bad and I’m due back for a second operation but I think I’ll be fine.

There were a lot of scenes in the Eagle Eye where it didn’t seem like a stunt man was taking the hard knocks for you.

I got some cuts that were stitched up and some bruises, but I wasn’t going to call for a stunt guy because Michelle Monaghan was so gung-ho. I mean she was all padded up and ready to go like, ‘Bring it on.’ So I wasn’t going to wimp out. I guess there might have been a little competition between us.

There’s a lot of sexual tension but no big romance between the two of you.

I think if we’d had an overtly passionate relationship it would have cheapened the whole film. It would have been one more Hollywood fantasy. Sometimes lovers aren’t allowed to be together. That happens a lot in life, but you rarely see it in a film anymore. Anyway, with all the action there was no time for romance.

What’s the background of your unusual name?

In French, LaBeouf means ‘beef,’ but mine is spelled wrong. It should be ‘LaBoeuf.’ My grandmother was a beatnik lesbian in the ’50s, who hated her family and decided to change the spelling, and it’s been that way ever since. So you go to France and people are like, ‘LaBeouf? You have an illiterate last name.’ By the way, Shia is a bad four-letter word in French. So the literal translation of my name is ‘S*** the Beef.’ Kind of rock-starry isn’t it?”

How do you feel about your amazing ride to Hollywood success?

I think I’ve just been riding coattails. I mean, come on, Indy Jones was going to be a success whether I was in it or not. You could have put Freddie Prinze Jr. in my part. Put Frankie Muniz in Transformers and it still would have been a hit. So I realize how lucky I’ve been.

Ever thought about taking a break from filming?

I thought about going to college after doing Disturbia and majoring in film. Then Steven called and offered me Indy Jones. I thought, ‘Do I want to hear someone lecturing about Steven Spielberg or be on the set watching him work?’

Sophia Bio

Sophia Anna Bush was born on July 8, 1982 in Los Angeles, California. The only child of Charles Bush - advertising and celebrity photographer, and Maureen Bush - photography studio manager, was then raised in Pasadena, California. To this day, Sophia still remains quite close with her parents. “I think most parents brag about their kids, but I can totally brag about my parents. My dad is just amazingly talented…And my mom is just awesome,” Sophia gushes.

While we’re used to seeing Sophia as the promiscuous and fun-loving Brooke Davis on “One Tree Hill”, Sophia’s own high school experiences were practically the opposite. “She [Brooke] does everything on the planet that I would have never done in high school, I mean I read the scripts and I think: I can’t do this! She’s a role model of what not to do!” explains Sophia. Instead Sophia spent her high school years at “Westbridge School for Girls”, a very small and ALL GIRLS private school. “I loved school. I loved learning. I loved doing homework,” Sophia reflects on her high school years.

Sophia wasn’t a complete nerd in high school though – “I was all over the place”, says Sophia. She was on the volleyball team and then ended up doing theatre to fulfill her school’s creative requirements. “At first I was completely irritated…and I just thought it [joining the theatre club] was a major inconvenience. But I ended up loving it,” confesses Sophia. And from there Sophia the actress was born.

During her senior year at age 17, Sophia became the “Pasadena Tournament of Roses 82nd Rose Queen”. As the 2000 Rose Queen Sophia participated in more than 100 community and media functions. Sophia then went on to attend college at USC (University of Southern California), majoring in Theatre before switching her major to Journalism. While at USC, Sophia was a member of the “Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority”, who performed at Sophia’s wedding to Chad Michael Murray back in April 2005. Whilst at college Sophia starred in various films and television shows such as “Van Wilder”, “Nip Tuck”, and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”. Three years into her degree, with only a year left, Sophia auditioned for “One Tree Hill” and won the role of resident vixen Brooke Davis, thus leaving her studies at USC. “I’d love to go back and graduate. I read continually and I write a lot – ideas for stories and things. I would love one day to write a book,” reveals Sophia.

Joining “One Tree Hill” meant moving away from sunny SoCal to small town Wilmington, North Carolina, leaving behind family and friends, but like with everything else, Sophia welcomed the challenge. “It was nerve-wracking! I grew up in Los Angeles and I went to [college] there, so I’d never really left home. Now I love it [Wilmington] so much, hurricanes and all. I hope we get to stay here for a long, long time,” Sophia declares. Of course it wasn’t too long before Sophia made herself right at home in the One Tree Hill territory.

Just as Brooke and Lucas began steaming it up onscreen during season one of “One Tree Hill”, Sophia and co-star Chad Michael Murray, had art imitating life when they began dating. In May 2004, while Sophia was visiting Chad on the set of his film “House of Wax” in Australia, Chad got down on one knee and proposed. “I laid out 500 candles on a tennis court…the candles spelt out a message and I took Sophia up to the balcony of our 18th floor penthouse so that she could read what they said,” reveals Chad about the proposal. The pair married on April 16, 2005, in California. Sadly five months later on September 26, 2005, Sophia announced that they were separating. In February 2006, she filed for an annulment. “I can’t say that there are no hard feelings with Chad, I’m hurt, humiliated, and broken hearted…I never expected to be married more than once. Chad is going to be a great guy for somebody someday. But he is not the person for me and I’m not the person for him, and that’s okay,” reflects Sophia.

Unlike most in her situation, Sophia’s breakup with Chad has not left her bitter and broken. Instead, Sophia remains optimistic about the future of her love life – “This breakup hasn’t been easy. But I still believe in love. I want to get married again and have kids and even adopt,” Sophia confesses.

2006 could be best described as the year of change for Sophia – not only in her personal life, but also her professional. In May 2006, the “One Tree Hill” cast and crew (and fans!) all waited with baited breaths to see whether or not a 4th season had been picked up with the new “CW” network. “We didn’t know if it [“One Tree Hill”] was going to make it. But it was definitely flattering when we got the phone call,” admits Sophia.

Also in 2006, Sophia starred in the independent horror film “Stay Alive”, which also starred former “The O.C.” star Samaire Armstrong, and “Malcolm in the Middle”‘s Frankie Muniz. “Stay Alive” saw a different side to Sophia when she played goth chick October Bantum, who according to Sophia, “is very cool. She’s such a badass. She’s a rough around the edges girl.” however, Sophia’s better known film role in 2006 was most likely to be that of “Beth” in “John Tucker Must Die”. Starring alongside former “Desperate Housewives” spunk Jesse Metcalfe, Sophia became a familiar face in 2006. “It’s not one of those carbon copy teen movies that follows the same formula and has the same message that they wrap up with at the end of the movie. There’s a lot of dark humour in this movie; it’s really edgy,” Sophia says on “John Tucker Must Die”. “John Tucker Must Die” is the story of three girls seeking revenge when they find out that the school hottie has been dating them all at the same time. So what’s Sophia’s method of revenge on a jilted lover? “My rule is to hold your head up high and never stop looking that person in the eye…And they can just feel like an ass for the rest of their lives. That’s my favourite thing to do,” advises Sophia.

With 2006 over, what does 2007 hold for Sophia? Well, we’ll be seeing her in the remainder of season 4 of “One Tree Hill”, where Brooke will no doubt have more juicy storylines! We’ll also see Sophia in the thriller film “The Hitcher”. Sophia will also be continuing to bond with her ghost. Yup that’s right, a ghost! “Wilmington is a very haunted city…I have a ghost who lives on the second floor of my house,” clarifies Sophia. “My ghost is pretty friendly,” she quickly adds. Hmm… maybe Sophia could star alongside her ghost in an upcoming project in 2007 perhaps?

I loved these as a kid! Because I wanted to be a Marine Biologist when I was younger, I always favored the ones having to do with water! I would read them over and over until I got the ending that I wanted! Did you like these as a kid too?

They started re-releasing them in 2005 again and most recently they have come out with interactive DVD versions of them with celebrities like William H. Macy and Frankie Muniz voicing the characters!
